I like that so many other artists have covered this little song, which most in the mainstream don't know.
what space this master Haynes creates ! open space and propulsion all while being musical...!
Snap Crackle ! !
Great song. I really love this piece.
haynes is the best young drummer out there.
Gracias por compartir!
and no, I doubt I will ever be as musical as him!
Beutifull no words 👍
favolosi.
The great roy Haynes
wow.
Great version. these guys are kickin but listening to this makes you understand how good Lyle Mays really was...

As perhaps you will be but will you ever be as good as he is?
oh, i was just meaning to reply to the comments about him sounding amateurish. He was loads easier to listen to and a lot more fun when he was younger. For instance, the recording of James from a while back is loads more fun than this version, in my opinion. When I saw him live, he was still alive with energy, but definitely not as fluid and clean as he used to be. it's a shame age has an effect on musical ability!
What a drummer!
No dynamics at all?!
@Manuscript4 Yeah, very basic and clumsy sounding isn't it. The bassist and pianist seem to working well together - Haynes seems to be doing his own thing in an amateurish sounding way.
You are an ignoramus
haynes is just old.
Really horrible drumming in the head
You seem conversant in jazz...not
