Hardest character I’ve tried to learn. Day 1 and only got down guldo corner combo. But damn it feels good finally getting that. Most appreciated dude! Your team is godlike
Ginyu is one of my favorite characters this game. Besides Broly he is my most played character. As much as I practice him I can't nail all his combos. Among combo guides this is the most detailed one I found. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad this was helpful! As for his combos, I'd say focus more on the crusher ball routes. They're not as difficult as purple comet, and they're more reliable in matches!
@@davidclout6286 My suggestions would be characters that I played in the past along with my broly/ginyu duo: UI Goku, DBS Broly, LC21(my current), Gogeta blue (my current in testing)
Thank you so much for this guide! I can now finally play a full Frieza Force team haha That 2L after the Guldo summon is hard to hit for some reason though. But I'll get there. Thanks again!
I'm really glad it's helpful! thank you! For the 2L after guldo, i recommend holding down then getting used to the timing for hitting L. It feels weird at first but you definitely get used to it!
Can’t tell you how much I appreciate the tips/slowing down of combo I’ve loved playing ginyu since day one because Burter is my favorite character and i always saw full ginyu force combos but never thought I’d be able to pull one off
Great video, well explained and really helpfull, Btw on the routes with superjumps, the comets routes, for me is more easy to just hold S after sumoning burter that way you only need to press up as soon as you touch the ground, its a bit less tight.
@@samyuerulagann7447 A neat trick that helps me when a match gets crazy is sound cues. Whenever you call a ginyu force member, they all yell something pretty loudly! if you lose track of what call you're on, try and think back to what was the last call you heard!
Wonderful guide majin! I just started playing dbfz recently and have always wanted to play ginyu! Could you also mention some blockstrings with him at some point as well?
thanks! and sure! i'll add that into the next part, for now i'd recommend doing 5m~assist~summon, or slight easier but a little less effective 236L~assist~summon. Usually those two can get your offense started pretty nicely!
I think I may be a masochist. I messed around with Ginyu awhile back, and I thought that I would never touch him again. Fast forward to this past Sunday (watching a set between Axeice and TrueAwesome) and I thought to myself “I’ll give him another shot” It’s gonna take dedication, but I am officially declaring myself a Ginyu player, and we won’t mention the literal hour I just spent doing the 7:40 combo I’m dedicated now, and, as Vergil would say M O T I V A T E D
Well, this comment aged horribly. I’ve gotten so caught up in KOF and Strive that I forgot to continue doing Ginyu stuff, soooooo I may or may not have unintentionally dropped him, and now it’s kind of a duel between who I want as my 3rd character now Unfortunately, Ginyu has dropped out of that fight. I don’t hate him at all but in comparison to the other 2 I’m looking at (Zamasu and Blue Vegeta) I have more fun playing those two, as well as them not having as wonky neutral as Ginyu So my very brief stint as a Ginyu “main” has ended. Apologies, but Zamasu or Blue Vegeta may be taking over
I have a problem with the second combo, 2 things end up happening 1. After the super jump, the J.H will send the opponent down. 2. Burter vanishes before hitting the opponent because Jeice's 214S which forces me to use a Crusher Ball route
As a Majin rank player i still cant make the proper combos. I alvays help myself out with normal asists to connect them together. Or i just try to steal their character. I love to read superdashes/grabs and supers to land my lv3. Its soo statisfying!
sadly there's no real "trick" to that one. You just have to get used to it. I can say though, the first 5H you have to do quickly or you'll miss! The charged 5H is a bit lenient in timing afterward!
@@MisterAcolyte Thanks I can feel that I'm used to the 5H now and I felt pure happiness when I managed to pull off my first combo. Keep up the great work😁
quick question for 2:47, when I practice the route, after SD, I see burter miss sometimes and drop the combo. Am I doing 214s too quickly? or should I just delay the superdash a little bit more? or is it because I'm not letting j5L hit twice?
I really love this guide but I would love to make a request: Let’s say the combos in this video are “expert” level. I would really really love to see some solo ginyu stuff that is more like “intermediate” if that makes sense. I find that trying to learn the hardest combo right away often just makes me shut down and give up. But if I can slowly build up it by doing harder and harder stuff then that would change everything. Just Lookinh at a lot of these combos gives me a headache lol. Like having to time a 2L or doing a Jl and then a manual JH is a nightmare to me for some reason. I tried learning a videl combo that required a bunch of manual JH’s (as opposed to how I just normally finish a combo with JLLL and the last L acts like a JH) Golden Frieza is the only guy I can sort of pull of a manual JH with. Also having to do super jumps in a combo feels me with dread. So anyway......when I saw the thing where you J236M into a JS, that filled with me excitement because I thought “I can DO that!” I mean that’s something I could pop on and do right now. In fact a lot of the mid screen stuff seems a lot more realistic but of course getting a medium starter is not always practical nor will I be able to have a certain summon ready. So 1. Can you show some cool “intermediate” mid screen stuff that starts with different summons? If perhaps Berter were up first for example? 2. Maybe more importantly, what are some absolute babies first combo’s I can do in the corner beyond the BNB but well below this stuff? Like can you 236M/H into into one or two summons or even just a js that would be better than the BNB? If you’ve got the time or interest, this would be a big help to me and I’m sure many others. You’re an inspiration to Captain Ginyu players! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words and the honest feedback! When I made this guide, I was mostly focus on players who are well versed with the game, but may not know Ginyu's routes. I felt like if the combos I posted weren't "optimal" then most people wouldn't really be interested in them. But i have received a lot of comments from people saying these were too difficult, which I didn't intend to be the case. Admittedly I've been playing fighting games all my life so what I consider to be "easy" may be a bit skewed lol. I appreciate the feedback and I will strongly consider making a "beginners ginyu" combo guide. It may be kind of tough admittedly, due to the nature of his routes, but I will try! Also just to clarify, you dont need to start with a 2m for the midscreen routes, that's just the example i went with. Also (airborne)236M, S, Superdash, L,L,L works with every summon except for Recoome. As Long as he isn't the starter, you can reply on that.
@@Imperium3945 if you're talking about the universal midscreen (with any member but recoome) its important to make sure you get the 2 hits of light then another light for the medium hit in the auto combo. not sure if thats your issue but it was mine so maybe that will be helpful

Working on these midscreens now. They're annoying! The timing on the 5h's is difficult. I feel like you have to do them just as ginyus recovery is done on the summon. It feels tight. I got all the corners down 7/10 times I think though so I must persist
great job! Yes, Guldo's midscreen is very tricky. The 5H is honestly the hardest part, but with enough practice you'll get the feeling down for how long to hold the H!
