Awesome video. The 22-250 is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
I have a friend who hunts deer with this caliber, an he always brings home meat, but he's good at taking only headshots, an it plain an simple just works. Thx for the vid
That first hog sucked up those bullets like a champ.
Barely slowed him down
All these back to back vids 👏👏👏.
I appreciate the content
I’m trying lol and thanks
Man that double coyote shot was sick. excellent work.
That 22-250 is a helluva round
The running headshot on the hog was awesome
Great stuff with the scope cam
Really enjoy your content and seeing all your awesome rigs.
Thanks a bunch
I also played with the .22-250 and tried reloading one too-light varmint round. Was bloody fast, but also nothing but dust at 50 yards. So like you I learned that a heaver round has its uses, grin.
That is some beautiful bean footage!!
Love my 22-250, had it since 1965. A killing machine!🇺🇸🤠
Love hearing that!
I grew up in Uvalde County!🤠🇺🇸
Nice shooting man! I can tell you’re living out your dream. I’m here for it! 👍🏼
Loving life bud
Damn brother, you’re the best running shot guy out there. Badass
62gn Bonded Swift Sciroccos will woop ass in that thing.
Awesome job fellas!!
That was awesome. It was great seeing Chris hunting with you.
Nice shooting! I love coyote hunting and I’m looking at a 22-250 to add to my toolbox. I’ve wanted one since high school and I’m 42. I think it’s time to pull the trigger.
Outstanding shooting…I just recently bought a 22-250 and am going to try and put it to work…From what I’ve seen so far it will be a fun round…
Definitely good to have in the lineup
Good shooting!👍🏾
Excellent vid and nice take downs, keep up the hunt!
Great video!
That wind sounds like cicadas to me 😂
I can’t get a break man lol
@@TxKiller summer life in Texas. They are loud here east of Dallas as well
Like you alluded to: For coyotes the .22-250 is a head grenade! Great video.
That last one was kind of sad. Seemed like he just sat down and slowly gave up on life.
Love to see the .22-250 put to work. Such an awesome and versatile cartridge that gets slept on. You should do a heavy twist setup for pigs and punch 80 grain pills into them. Devastating results with the speed you can achieve
Built it specifically for the coyotes, unfortunately when that’s the plan we see pigs lol. With the right shot placement it’ll work, but it’s not the one for mag dumps.
@@TxKiller Reality about calibres and ballistics, & what suits what target is refreshing.
Some of the problem tipping them over could be shooting through grass etc, speed doesn't like obstructions as well as being a poor killer of anything not flimsy. If wanting a bit of versatility hard nosed projectiles will kill better if put in the right place, and some of those carried in case of pigs etc showing up might be helpful. Lung or heart shot will often run further, but are still dead. And the penetration can reach spinal bone etc better. But it's still a light calibre in overdrive.
Good video bro. Really enjoy the seeing the builds
Thanks man I’m glad you enjoyed it
Another great video! Great shooting!
Great review
Great video I enjoyed it.
I have dropped many a coyote with M855 Ball 5.56 (62 Grain)
Tagged many with Hornady match 77 grain 5.56 too
You do a fantastic job and just gained another subscriber.
Lol them pigs didn’t stand a chance with the buggy in the background
Good shooting lads...greetings from New Zealand...love your videos
New Zealand........ Thats awesome and thank you!
Great video thank you 🙏🏾
Absolutely spot on nice shooting
One of my fav cartridges
If you really are a hunter, you don't leave an injured animal run around and scream in agony while you look for the next target.
Suave jav approved! Keep slinging lead!
I had a Sako 22-250 it was my favorite rifle
Badass rig. I’d love to see you shooting the 60 grain Bergers out of that beast.
I'll try to find some
You fked that tree up lol 😂
It came out if nowhere lol
Buddy your voice is better than Morgan freeman!
Freaking laser
It really is
Been in the Hornady plant several times.
Drove by it back in November, I wish I stopped and kicked the door in 😭
Excellent footage AA . I have to say that coyote took a good portion of a box of ammo and that hit on the tree indicates that round is trucking. It looks like the hogs went down with one shot while the yotes did not. Could it be the mass of the hogs and rounds are just passing through the dogs. I remember when the 17HMR was supposed to be the flat shooting coyote smoking varmint miracle round. More on this 22-250 please!
The problem with some Varmint loads on pigs, is they use a lighter jacket on the bullets. If those are like that, you're not getting deep enough penetration, specially at the higher velocity with a 22/250.
Polymer tipped V-MAX® bullets deliver match accuracy, high ballistic coefficients, wind defying trajectories, and rapid fragmentation upon contact.
ETA: I just looked on Midway and the only loaded ammo I found was the Federal Premium Ammunition 22-250 Remington 60 Grain Nosler Partition. That might be a good pig load for you. All the rest were varmint loads.
Bingo, but the options are slim out there. Found a few SP’s that might do the trick though. But like I said in another comment this rig was specifically for the coyotes, shot placement will be the key if pigs present themselves…
@@TxKiller I looked at Midway and they have Federal Premium Ammunition 22-250 Remington 60 Grain Nosler Partition. For loaded ammo, that should work better. Get a box and see where it hits compared to the others. If you don't have to rezero, then a couple of boxes if you come across pigs will 'yote hunting.
Dope
I like .22-250 but do not own one. I don't use small caliber cartridges for Texas hogs but I do use an AR in .223 for coyotes, and I use 64 grain Winchester Deer Season XP ammo just in case I see pigs while hunting coyotes.
I feel for ya man, my heart always aches when I don't get a super clean instant kill. 💔 😢
A month ago a killed a racoon and I was heart broken because it was just a little thing and I blew its leg off... I didn't realize my barrel had any issues since I last sighted it fine. Did a range day and found a full 12" of deviation from point of aim. Now that rifle is retired.
Damn!
Man that 1st Hog was a Beast.. Swallowed all that 😂
Nice shooting bruh
Hell yea
Great video as always! With the ammo shortage it might be time to start reloading. Even if you don’t film it. 69 grain TMK ain’t no joke. I shoot pig & coyotes with them all the time
Same, the 69 TMK’s are money.
I had found some 60gr sp back in the day for the 250 that worked on deer pretty good.
That first 🐺 was a tough cookie he was fighting going down . Excellent hits.. 💪🎯
I got him to sit though lol.
@@TxKiller lol indeed you did.. he took a dirt nap 😂..
I love that spin when a yote gets popped.
Nice shooting there dude!!!! I wish my tripod sight picture was that steady!!!! Any tips or tricks from your good self fella??
Good tripod and stance, also a lot of that is the weight of the platform.
@@TxKiller cheers dude, keep stacking them up 🤙🏻
Gave the 50 grain hornaday superformance a try in my 1:8 twist 22-250 and I was getting 4100 fps. Pretty excited to smack a daytime coyote with it. I thought the bullet would fall apart.
Hi 👋
Hello
Bit quicker on the goodnight kiss / second round if required, would be nice to see brother. But very , very nice marksmanship.
❤️🔥🇺🇸🤙🏻
Missed more shots than you made!
👍
Head shots lay them to rest
What sight are you shooting with ?
What scope??
🇲🇨 🙋♂️
Thanks for sharing. Ain’t it better (respectful) to take the wounded coyote out first before you take a shot on the 2nd?
I tried with the second shot, third shot would of ran off the other yote.
Good round and all... I still feel like for pig .300blkout is king and for coyote anything above .224 Valkyrie is good. I personally am going with 6.5 creedmore for 150+ yards and .300blkout for anything 150- yards
Thanks for sharing
What weight projectile do you think is min. for pigs?
Do you eat the the boars or sell them ?
Dang that fence had enough strands on it. I was afraid you wear going to get a deflection off of one of the strands. Do you have a way to range with the Iray? Or are you just familiar enough with the landmark to know distances?
I can usually take a good guess with the size of the animal and my reticle, if my reticle is covering them up they’re to far to shoot. Flat shooting cartridges help as well.
@TxKiller yes sir. The 22-250 rig is awesome finding ammo is another story.
Hello sir, really like your UA-cam videos and sure would love more videos, and yes I’ve watched ALL of them , sure would like the opportunity to go out night hunting with you some day just saying great times are meant to be experienced .
Straight on shots with the 22-250 makes coyotes look like they’re going to pop like a balloon. Like you say, if you don’t hit them right, they can soak up some punishment. Good thing there are no two or three hundred pound coyotes.
🫡✊🏾
4 solid minutes of ranting is enough
Killing coyotes is counterproductive. They breed more frequently and with larger litters if populations are small. You kill one or two and there's more coming back in a year's time.
Thats awesome we need more to shoot lol
@@TxKiller That's pretty fucking psychotic. Varmints or not, killing is never something to excited about or proud of. It's a necessary task at times, but if you're excited about it, there's something very wrong with you.
I beg the differ. Anytime word got out that an area had coyotes, hunters would move in and DECADES later the populations haven't recovered. It's hard to find a good place to hunt coyotes in the mountain west time zone. People drive 5, 6, 7 + hours out to the middle of nowhere looking for them, and it's still hard.
Hi! Can you shoot faster, please 🙏
Killshots ??? I dont see it !!! I only see Failshots... ...Dont be shooting man, when you cant it...
