went "half hobby grade" with the Veil Side, WLtoys A959/979 receiver+ESC and servo, 380mah 3S powering it. the servo gives 90-95% of full steering lock, good enuf! its a little "fun" to cut the hole for the 5 wire servo fits upside down in front, connect it to the steering bar and close it back up, but not too bad. the small LiPo fits same place as stock battery (with a little clearing), a hole cut into the "charging bay" for the 1/4 x 1/2 balance charge plug to reach into. the extra 1.5 to 2.5v of Lipo vs stock lithium ion 9.6v, plus the higher current output is a nice boost, lots more fun with fully proportional throttle and steering.. which is only a little bit slow not horrible. went there because I had the inexpensive spare WLtoys stuff already, and already know its OK with 3S through it, as long as the motor demand isn't TOO high. not done video of it yet, hopefully soon tho. may bump up to about 700mah 3S LiPo soon, don't want to run too much weight on the 12v 370/380 motor. there's no room to stuff a 390 motor into it unfortunately, the bevel gears for the front power wont allow the larger motor.
