I first fell in love with her when Love Me Again came out, but since her new album Ive become so invested in her as an artist. As an independent musician myself, her success is so inspiring!
It’s like you said businessmen don’t need to be making artistic decisions. If all you know are the technicalities of the industry than stay in that lane cuz you can’t crossover from that into art and really reach hearts. Only hearts reach hearts, in good in evil. It takes one to know one so even if it doesn’t touch the producers or the label they need to repeat that the artist knows the audience on a scale the label can’t necessarily reach without the artist. Long winded I’m sorry, but I agree with the thoughts you laid out so well in this vid. Thanks for sharing !
it's a little mawkish, not gonna lie. i respect if that's what you believe though. that record exec might have cringed hard on that one lol... but nowadays if you want to hit it big in music, you kinda have to be a bit controversial and clever with your lyrics (take the 'might seduce your dad type' billie eilish thing) you know, music and lyrics that will permit the tiktok folks to act cool
Ok rewatching what I said about my song, I may have made it sound cringey, but I promise it’s not. 😆 It wasn’t the fact that they didn’t like it, it was the condescension in their tone. About TikTok, I understand that’s where a lot of people get discovered, but I think it’s about finding a good balance of writing music with the potential to go viral that is also real. It’s always good to hear from you, Anabell! 😊
Escapism is raw and real. Best original .non-Omar song in ages. Thanks for the recommendation
So glad you liked it! You should listen to the whole album. It’s stunning.

Well said! 🤍 Thank you for watching and leaving a lovely comment. 😊
Do you really believe that. I would have said "Yes asshole. I do."
Haha I may have said something along those lines, but in my head. 😆
