Area of sphere = lateral surface area of cylinder 4pie r²= 2pie rh we know height =diameter which is equal to double radius so height= 2r 4pier²=2pie r(2r) 4pier²=2pie2r² (2 common) 4 pie r ²= 4pie r ² Hence proved. Hope u understood this😊
Thank you for your video. Is there a way for you to illustrate why the lateral area of a cylinder is the same as the surface area of a sphere? I do not understand any intuitive relationship between them, and it is difficult for me to imagine why I would end up with a sphere if I folded down (infinitely many) slices to the middle of a cylinder.
I am unable to understand how anybody can dislike this wonderful vedio? But There is a doubt that how lateral Surface of cylinder is equal to surface area of sphere?
Suppose we consider sphere in two dimensional arrangements and stacked closer to each other then how much surface area of the plain surface is occupied how can we relate this to radius of sphere ?
Hey Neeraj Dhanik, Thanks for the comment. We also believe the same concept of clearing the basics before moving ahead and we make our content in such a way that any person can understand it. Do watch our other videos too.
Dimple, Lateral surface area and the total surface area in the case of sphere is same. As the entire surface is same, there are no edges to divide the surface area like in the case of a hemisphere. I hope this will clear your doubt.

One can simply define the surface area of a sphere as the rate of change of volume of the sphere per change in the radius of the sphere such that delta(R) approaches to 0

I knew that the earth was a flat surface. What's left of the radius in the sphere/cylinder, is what's called the firmament. With that being said, there are no planets out there neither, I'm sure. I thought that you were going to do the math on a half hollow sphere, which would really explain our earth. You should do that and make a video about the earth in this manner! I came here for the first time and received what I was looking forward to learning. Thanks.

We can say sphere of total surface area is calculated with the help of diametre. Which of the outer part as half circumference around his diametre then, how can you say that it's value you can measure in a cylinder.

Question is still remains same that why lateral surface area of cylinder is equal to surface area of sphere.
@Naveen praveen xD
But I want to know that derivation
Because sphere has no top and bottom faces it is round
Yeah
Area of sphere = lateral surface area of cylinder
4pie r²= 2pie rh we know height =diameter which is equal to double radius so height= 2r
4pier²=2pie r(2r)
4pier²=2pie2r² (2 common)
4 pie r ²= 4pie r ²
Hence proved.
Hope u understood this😊
Really it was an awesome video,👏👏 easy to understand the concepts of sphere👍 keep it up 👌

Tq so much
showing Archimedes prove would be great.
Can u plz tell why archers said that csa of cylinder = the tsa of sphere
varsha agrawal May he also not know the reason. But Archimedes proved. 😂😂😂
Really good
Thank you so much sir
Let me inform u that planets r geoid in shape not spherical....
By the way - great explanation.....it really helped me understanding sphere..

well explain why Archimedes said ...,
or you have only found the curved area of a cylinder
????????????????????????????????????????????????
Awsome
I watch 2:37 - 4:03 video because there are no illustration and no solution of surface area of sphere in my Grade 7 Math book.
😊
