Play this game on the harder difficulty and you'll see how much your precious button mashing can get you I played the beta at first like a button masher but then i started to make combos and how to juggle between different enemies and what not. The villain sector is a bit disappointing considering there only three villains featured in the story but hopefully we'll get more of them down the line.

I think it’s because if you play on normal, you can get away with mashing, but there’s so much depth to combat and pretty much every upgrade is meaningful. The gameplay part of Avengers is being severely undersold by reviewers in my opinion. It’s a game that feels so good it will keep you coming back trying to master it. This game is like Ultimate Alliance but way deeper. Same mission format but way better combat and more unique characters.
I haven't found the game boring yet but then again I've taken my time with playing. I do wish the square enix servers were better and that day 1 patch needs another patch on Xbox. There are cutscenes and audio bugs not to mention some frame rate issues. The particle effects sometimes hinder your sight to see incoming attacks. A.I. companions is 50/50 sometimes they're good and sometimes not. Overall fun but playing with randoms who rush thru gets annoying especially if ur grinding for stuff and trying to kill enemies.

Everyone saying it's repetitive....pretty much all games are. Madden...play same mode running back and forth. ALL shooters...shoot on the same maps...playing the same game modes. It will be a great game to play with friends. And with ALL micro transactions you are NOT required to purchase them. The costumes doesn't do anything but make you look nice so it's a OPTION if you want to purchase. Too many gamers are spoiled mommas boys and expect to be catered to smh.
While I do generally share the same sentiment, the biggest problem is Avenger’s core gameplay is just not engaging enough to compensate for that aspect. Something like Devil May Cry 5 is also repetitive, but there’s a crazy amount of depth and satisfaction to be drawn moment to moment.

I don’t understand why some enemy types need 3 shields... they have an overshield, a blocking mechanism which you can’t do damage unless it’s a heavy one, and a shield shield!!! Who thought this was a great idea?!

There are annoying bugs in the game...like some skins that should be unlocked are somehow locked with no solution to get them back other than a patch. Even tho Hulk is my fav superhero...I've been maining Kamala, her playstyle is super fun and she has a great support heroic.

I disagree you handle the enemies that shoot at you from a far first. Because they usually weak but their shots can really slow you down and break you out of a charged heavy attack
I will never understand the hate for this game. Yes, some endgame content is lackluster and some character move sets feel similar (looking at you Thor and Jane Foster). But it is endearing and has some really good gameplay aspects. I got a new Series X a few months ago and am loving revisiting this game. I wish Square Enix had stuck with it and completed their story, since they had a really good premise, but oh well.
I play on brutal just got the game yesterday hulk is hard to play as on brutal you have to move like a dark souls game and take out any enemies with quick long range heavy attacks first
Idk if you wanna power up your gear in this game in the early stages you might run out of materials your gunna need later but it may speed up your power level progress at least that's the trade off in most games idk any clarity would be nice

I noticed several times when using Unibeam you didn't hold the button and made it very short. Hold the button to extend its duration. Also they're called "take downs" not knock out attacks.
At level 50 can you equip all these at once or do you stop gaining skill points at level 50 as there are more than 50 available skills. Does that mean you have to be careful what you pick?

Hulk has a high learning curve. I did a lot of trial and error during the beta and still didn’t realize you have to hold down R2 to use rage until this video. Anyway, I suggest dodging a lot, getting the shoulder charge move as soon as possible and learning when to use his charge power attack since it charges so slow. Make sure you take advantage of Rage because it gives him healing and basically an over shield. He charges his rage very fast so you can take advantage of it more than other intrinsics. I thought he was a glass cannon during the beta, but with some finesse, he is a great tank.

This game sucks and is dying quickly. Bugs and crashes, bland and repetitive gameplay, an armor system that you ignore until late game. Bigger number, equip it and don't power it up until the base item level is 140. Its fun for about 2 weeks and then its just a grind for cosmetics, boring. Matchmaking is broken especially with the player base dwindling quickly. New content being released while the original content is bugged. Dont waste your money or your time.

Here’s a little tip. For iron man’s uni beam, you can make it last longer by holding the button longer. Same for Thor’s God blast

My Hulk is an absolute monster I've got such an insane build going and I love it currently power level 102 I think and level 32 I believe

Double tap the dodge button to evade a bit quicker and hold down the R2 when your rage is up, it decreases damage
