- In this video, we'll demonstrate the sounds that The Thunderdrive Deluxe from MOD® Kits DIY is capable of producing. Adjusting volume control and gain controls provides a wide variety of tones in spite of it's simple construction. The Turbo switch provides an additional boost in volume and less internally generated distortion. The pre-painted black enclosure, red control knobs and red LED indicator give the Thunderdrive Deluxe an understated attractive finish. It is capable of overdriving the preamp section of your guitar amp or adding it's own layer of distortion at lower volume. The current draw of this pedal is very low at 1.3 milliamps, allowing for long battery life.
MOD® pedals are DIY kits that use point-to-point wiring and come with easy-to-follow instructions. Pre-drilled enclosures and all parts are included. All you need to provide are hand tools, a soldering iron, and solder.
The Thunderdrive Deluxe operates on a 9V battery.

Very professional presentation. My taste in guitar is maybe too purist to love the sounds, but I like the idea of kits, which taught me so much about electronics when I built some Heathkits back in the day. It even helped me later get a job repairing Dynacos built by amateurs.
Very cool! We try to keep our instructions and builds pretty straight forward so that even a beginner can get started much like you did with the Heathkits.
How about putting the turbo switch on a foot switch for a boost? I was the first like!! yay!!
