Watching this live felt like a professional level movie trailer in the way it's edited and especially how it sounded. This looks absolutely incredible and I can't wait to see more!

EDIT: On a few rewatches, I can't spot the kindness again, but I can definitely spot Determination in the earlier shots. So two sets of mutually balanced traits...
Yeah, it seems (I think) that sans and papyrus are supposed to represent these "trait" blasters and when something happened go papyrus (bravery) it caused sans (integrity) to shift, and I'm very curious on why and how this happened what exactly this means for sans but also papyrus, seeing how sans change was linked to what happened to papyrus

I literally just re-found the comic yesterday. I remember being monumentally sad after thinking that it died after like page 40 or something, and I realized that I was an idiot and it wasn't, and then this came out today after I caught up. This is so good. The amount of cleanness and fine detail in it is astounding. The cinematography is excellent (is it still cinematography in an animation? I would think so), and this being a trailer makes me think that the full animation is going to be better. I am also finally happy to see my favorite Undertale character being a badass with out going insane or being real far out of character, because we all know he is, and somehow that barely exists. Wonderful work.

Oh my gosh I just wanted to say that years ago I read your comic and absolutely fell in love with it, I loved all your portrayals of the original characters, I loved your art style, I loved everything about it!! I’d since not kept up with it sadly and only really kept it in the back of my mind, but when I was watching underevent and saw this my jaw actually dropped and I was just so so happy to see it, I was like “wait…is that insomnia?? I think that’s insomnia..” (and I was right it was, in fact, insomnia 💀) Anyways, I just wanted to tell u (if you’re reading this) that your comic brought me so much joy and I was just so happy to see it in underevent, amazing job and I’m so excited to watch this!!!
Stuff I noticed by pausing the video and watching on slow: 1. You can see the crack on Pap's neck in pretty much half the shots. 2. Before Gaster shows up, there's a black vague figure that shows up in a few different shots watching the Papyri talking. 3. Between Gaster getting in Papsqueak's face and G examining the vial, there's a shot of the thumbnail (shown again in the trailer later), a shot of all the extractors at once, and the vial breaking in Gaster's hand. 4. The screen displaying the status of the blasters goes negative colours. 5. When Sans' eye shatters, the status of his Blaster behind the screen changes to CRITICAL. It also has an X over its right eye. 6. When the Consolidator (the giant tube blaster) activates and the colours go negative, the tubes actually turn into human souls, except the Determination one. That turns into a red X. 7. The soul traits Papyrus displays are Bravery (main), Determination (during the conversation), Integrity (frequently, but briefly), Patience (when using blue attacks). I think I caught Kindness the first time but I didn't spot it again. 8. In case it wasn't clear, Gaster's skull *breaks into hands* because we all needed extra nightmares.
The modern Undertale animation sphere isn't something I've much attention to as of late, but this is _damn_ impressive. And it's a Papyrus-centric story. And it seems he even gets to see some action. Colour me there, whenever this comes out.
Next top-notch quality series next to underverse. Been watching this comic for a while and im looking foward into what it will come now! This effort will definitely pay off and im supporting this work from start to finish! ❤

It's been so long since I was drawn into the very first pages of Insomnia, so to see this animated trailer is both a surreal and delightful surprise! It's always nice to see Papyrus take the helm, and your art has always been amazing to see, no matter what form it takes! I'm excited to see what's next, but mostly I'm giddy at how cool this animation is on its own. (the little different colour SOUL flickers popping up like they did in the comic, aaaaa)
The one thing from the event that I HAD to immediately check out, it looks super interesting. Is the comic gonna be a necessary read before the animation, or is it an animation OF the comic? I wouldn't mind either, just wondering before I get into this

HOLY SHIT! This is one of my all time favorite comics and to see it come to life like this, with legit some of the best animation I’ve EVER seen, indie OR professional, is an honest to god dream come true
I absolutely love the atmosphere and the quality of the animation is insane, especially considering that it's made by one person. I'm really hyped to see a story centred on Papyrus
going through this frame-by-frame is a real treat (especially for a papyrus fan like me HJSGDHJS), so many little details and fun expressions! you should be verrry proud of this accomplishment

It's been so long since I was drawn into the very first pages of Insomnia, so to see this animated trailer is both a surreal and delightful surprise! It's always nice to see Papyrus take the helm, and your art has always been amazing to see, no matter what form it takes!
I'm excited to see what's next, but mostly I'm giddy at how cool this animation is on its own. (the little different colour SOUL flickers popping up like they did in the comic, aaaaa)

hey! the comic helps for some things but shouldn't be a hundred percent necessary. you should still be able to follow this part without it :)

HOLY SHIT! This is one of my all time favorite comics and to see it come to life like this, with legit some of the best animation I’ve EVER seen, indie OR professional, is an honest to god dream come true
I absolutely love the atmosphere and the quality of the animation is insane, especially considering that it's made by one person. I'm really hyped to see a story centred on Papyrus
