Tour of AlaskaGranny's Granny Camp
This remote Alaska off grid cabin is in the woods, and has no electricity or running water. I love spending time in Granny Camp and teaching my young grandchildren to enjoy time in the out of doors. If you want a rustic cabin for camping, hunting, or bugging out, try converting a shed into a cabin living space or tiny house. It is amazing how little you need to live in a small space. Plan a space for sleeping, water, food, and basic cooking. It is easy to turn a shed into a camping cabin. Remote off grid cabin life is fun!

You inspire the world, AG. WELL DONE! And look how happy our doggy is with his Mommy. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much!
At last, Granny Camp is open! I'll be looking forward to your Granny Camp adventures. 👍🌠
I live on 5 acres, horse, garden ,chickens and dogs. I am a senior and manage by myself, so I know what it's like. Nice to know there are other women managing wilderness.
Wow, you have chores!!
Sounds amazing!! My daughters want to do that so I’m looking for land.
I can't tell you how impressed I am with you and your ability to do all that by yourself!!!
I appreciate that! It's not that hard, thanks.
Love hearing the birds!
That was fun A.G....watching you work! Hope it is a pleasant happy summer for you & yours. May His angels watch over you always 🌺

I set up a smaller camp in my backyard and It’s fun to be a solo camper until nighttime. How do you plan for cozy and calm overnights? Thanks!
That's a lot of work but looks so wonderful 😍
Wishing you a wonderful summer!
Thanks!
Glad Teddy is looking well.
Hey AG, time for an upgrade to your loo. How about placing the green rug on a pallet for a bit more stability??
OMGoodness!! I so admire your knowledge and abilities to take care of yourself and Teddy. It's nice to see that your Granny Camp is up and ready for a new season of fun and adventure. It was fun and inspiring to watch you set it up again. Thanks for sharing the process. Blessings, AG. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Hi AG 👋 yay its time for granny camp. I love watching you do this. Your family is so blessed to have you. You make their life so fun 😊 God bless. And so glad Teddy is doing fine. ❤
Hi AG! Happy Sunday! I love your granny camp! That takes a lot of work. I hope you and Teddy have many fun adventures there this summer! 🌞
Thanks for sharing your camp. Nice set up. I need an outhouse enclosure like that. I had not thought of that to be honest. I just have a couple trees that block the view, so I think I may try for a better set up.
Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of where I grew up in Northern Virginia. I only have a apartment patio now
Granny Camp 2024! 🏕

Good Morning AG, That was so fun! Thank you for taking us along as you got 'Granny Camp' all set up. Looking forwards to our next visit. Teddie looks gorgeous as usual : )
Wonderful, you are certainly blessed
Yes I am!
Glad you're back out at Granny Camp. That is a lot of work to get done. Hope you don't have anyone bothering your camp while you're not there. Hope you have fun with your greenhouse this year. Glad to see Teddy is doing OK!
I know you're good about reporting recalls so I saw this morning there is a recall for Reser brand pasta salads sold through Aldi Stores in several states so hope that you can pass this along to your viewers too and there is a tea recall for this product too due to high pesticide amounts: Yogi Echinacea Immune Support tea bags,
That was fun! And a lot of work 👌🏽
Oh What Fun!
How Fun!!!
thank u
You're welcome!
Morning...
I'm out of breath just watching you. 😮 You've worked really hard AG, & Granny camp is looking awesome.
What are you planning on growing this year.?
Glad to see Teddy well, & back to his cuddly self.
TFS AG, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤️🙂🐶
Thanks so much for watching, and sending best wishes to Teddy. We are having a wonderful time setting up Granny Camp!
@@AlaskaGranny Thank you for sharing your Granny camp with us all AG. May you, Teddy, & your Grandchildren have a great time there this Summer. 👍🌞🤗
We have to do something similar, when we visit our old camper on another site. Because of having mice in the past, I pack our bedding into a storage tote. And keep some other foods in metal boxes. It's not food we eat there all the time, but just in case something does happen and we are stuck there.
Yes, mice and squirrels are the worst!
You're a darned-good worker, A.G. I feel ashamed of myself - but I DO have head-first crash injuries/ head/ brain & full neck & back injuries - along with more recent MULTIPLE further concussions, MANY broken ribs and NUMEROUS skull fractures caused by my being drugged into oblivion and then blacking out, falling & smacking my head on the floor (over and over) - and from which I am still healing, so there ARE all those things...
Yet, I must admit that UBER-passivity and laziness have over-taken me lately, thus... As I admire YOUR efforts, I deplore my OWN, so... I need to get at it.
It's stopped raining here now, so I have to get out and cut the grass before the expected high winds & hard RAIN come. I LOVE seeing women be so competent and able - it is very inspiring! Cheers, dear A.G. and beautiful Teddy! (Hey, that moose poop will compost to excellent garden material for next year's garden!) Best Wishes!
Don't compare yourself to others, do your best!!
@@AlaskaGranny 🙂, ❤.
I love your videos. Thank you ♥
You are so welcome!
Thanks for sharing YAH bless !
My pleasure!
You are so hard-working - chapeau! 🎩🤠 and lots of promising greens 🍂🌱- I hope, it was fun for you, nonetheless. 👍☺
Teddy stealing the show again
Thank you for motivating me!!
You are so welcome!
You. Have such a wonderful take on being prepared.
I appreciate you ideas reminders & suggestions.
May I ask you to consider doing a few videos on non food items that beginners especially, perhaps don't know about or haven't considered.
More & more are beginning to see the light.
Also could you discuss things like pickled and fermented foods to put in one's preps please. There are benefits but no one seems to be talking about them.
You are such a a beacon to singles and widowed folks. Thank you. Your outlook and practicalities are practical for us everyday folks.
If I may ask, have I missed any update about Teddie.
Nice work
Thanks!
Hi there AG! Always love your videos! We are from Southern California, but this week we are in Alaska! We took the train today from Anchorage to Talkeetna and as we travelled along and watched the scenery, it got me wondering about what part of Alaska you live in! I know you probably don’t share exactly, but maybe generally? We are loving your state so far. We started on a cruise from Vancouver to Seward and then train with ultimate destination being Fairbanks in a few days. We will enjoy Talkeetna for 2 days then head north again. Not nearly long enough, but we are talking about coming back and maybe doing a road trip. Meanwhile I will keep watching your videos, enjoying the wisdom you have to impart. ❤
I am so glad you are enjoying Alaska! While on the train, keep your eye along the sandy edges of the river. Lots of giant bear tracks may be seen.
@@AlaskaGranny we actually saw 2 bears while on the train from Seward to Anchorage! That train moved much more slowly than the Denali Star yesterday.
Cool! I don't believe I ever saw your outhouse before. The moose probably thought that was where the outhouse had been, LOL!
Can you burn moose poop? Add it to compost?
Have you thought of putting up solar shower, AG?
Here is a video I made on moose nugget fire starters ua-cam.com/video/lmZPXuXdW70/v-deo.html
@@AlaskaGranny No moose here, but I will look into it! I lived in Idaho and Colorado for a dozen years but never saw a moose.
Hey AG, Teddy's looking good. One question , if you did have to " big out" could u manage a winter at granny camp? We don't have a choice of a place other than our home to go to. So we're going to have to ride whatever at home.
I could not spend the winter at Granny Camp, but could be there for a while.
Freeks me out with the bee or deer fly! They swell me up like a balloon & itch like a bee sting! Ive watched many on traps or im wondering is it just attracting them. Theres are cows on the side of me but they clean the field but horrible. Do you have any advice? Im scared if i get two bites at the same time ive have to go to Drs. I love sitting in my swing & im going to have a fan installed on pourch to blow them maybe🤔 Love you at camp! Teddy maybe not so happy when he hears the wind! Love him!
That is hilarious, I didn't even know that happened until I was editing the video!
😷💚
QUESTION: Morning A.G. Just wondering how long you spend at G.C.? Is the season long enough to grow much? What do you grow? Love to Teddy and G'kids from Australia.❤
I love Granny Camp, and enjoy times spent there. I travel back and forth to my home during the summer.
I'm wondering if those "nuggets" burn.
Here is a video I made on moose nugget fire starters ua-cam.com/video/lmZPXuXdW70/v-deo.html
Is the moose poop good fertilizer AG?
I think so, and toss it in my garden.
💯👍👍😎🇺🇸
Do you have chiggers and ticks in Alaska? I live in the Mid-South and we are covered up with them.
I have problems with mosquitos, wasps, spiders, and no see-ums.
@@AlaskaGranny The no see-ums are rampant in Florida. They are much like the chiggers we have.
thank u
You're welcome!
