I’m from the states and the reason why he’s so popular because his music sounds western, modernized, and with the times. He listens to a lot of western rap which is why his music sounds the way it does. He’s pushing the boundaries and way ahead of most Filipino rappers. He raps to the cadence of the beat and goes with the melody unlike other Filipino rappers who just write lyrics to sound lyrical. Hev Abi the best rapper in my opinion coming from California.

there is really a misconception in between sampling and interpolation. nowadays, there are no original things to think about, due to the attention span of us, individuals. but some aspiring ones are taking inspiration from the old heads, which is a good thing because paying homage is a natural instinct. in this time where everything can be mainstream, all we had to do is just accept the fact that we are just jumping to a new trend/fad because art in general just keeps evolving.

Way back nung nagttrending ang EXB and O.C Dawgs, i already got hooked and their music was something to my ears. I still remember like, around 2019 and between 2021-22, na kesyo jejemon at corny ng songs nila. A year later, 2023, dala nng influence of TikTok in our country, ang daming pumatok na songs and lip syncing musics from EXB and OC Dawgs. From that point, i had no reason to complain and be mad sa mga bandwagon and haters nila, but full appreciation, na they're being recognized by the people.

For me di sampling yung ginagawa ni Hev Abi kundi interpolation kasi yung tracks niya nirerecord niya word for word yung mga lyrics ng mga catchy or sikat na kanta dati pero tini tweak niya to according sa beat niya. Magkaiba kasi yung sampling from interpolation.

For me di sampling yung ginagawa ni Hev Abi kundi interpolation kasi yung tracks niya nirerecord niya word for word yung mga lyrics ng mga catchy or sikat na kanta dati pero tini tweak niya to according sa beat niya. Magkaiba kasi yung sampling from interpolation.
