Bright seems to have softened quite a bit since his wife's death. He's not afraid of showing his vulnerability now (it makes him an even more intriguing character). Anton Lesser is marvelous.
Anton's acting is incredible! He creates a very believable character. He is so good at his craft, it's hard to believe that his character is not real! Please keep the series running! We love to watch, and are fascinated by the superior quality of the production.
This series has no weak spots. Will miss it when it's over.
The character Bright speaks softly with a meek demeanor. BUT, he has the courage and heart of a lion. Mr. Lesser portrays him beautifully. I will miss this program.
I love Anton Lesser's character. My favorite episode with him was the one with the tiger. So touching!
I agree! I think his character's strength and experience is often underestimated by others - arrogant criminals and/or police.

Me three. Shaun Evans has been magnificent and just as wonderful if not even better than John Thaw. His brilliance and vulnerability has made Morse my very favorite detective of all time. Anton Lesser has to be my very favorite character actor. Whatever production he’s in he adds so much to. A couple of friends and I have our own Anton Lesser fan club.

Would not be surprised that within a few years Morris ( Shaun Evans ) will return in a spin off of Endeavour.
If this happens gives hope that several cast members from Endeavour will return!
Anton Lesser is so talented and lovely! He's wonderful in every part he plays.
I totally agree every aspect of this series is spot on. Acting, directing and every period detail. I was a teen in the same period and the outfits were what I wore and loved.
I wish the series would continue it is brilliant.
I also hope there is something waiting for Shaun Evans next he is so good as a actor.
As the series has progressed Bright has become a very genuine character and he shows he is a good policeman ... indeed a good man ... nton's performance is fabulous to watch ... his scenes with Roger and Shaun are just masterclasses in performance!
Best series ever produced anywhere, fabulous cast. I love every minute of it.
Really love him now. At first he really gave Morse a bad time for no reason. I liked the way he took care of the lady officer too💕

He is one of my favorites on the show. I watched the finale, no more Endeavour and I was so terribly sad to see it go.

So great to enjoy the slow reveal from those early episodes. At first I thought he was just a foil for Morse and Thursday, a stuffed shirt. But oh what a sweet unveiling. A fantastic series, so much depth in all the characters.

Anton is one of those guys who is in EVERYTHING.
One of the best British dramas. Sorry to see it end. Am waiting with bated breath for it to be on Prime Video.

This series is in my top ten. All the actors are brilliantly cast. Mr. Lesser especially.
I love the character arcs all these have taken. First seasons it was really hard to like him or Strange but their complexities are just so brought out you understand them better as time goes by.
I have seen this man in so many good shows. He’s been in some that made me hate him for being such an ass but after watching this WOW. He looks like a really nice person and a real sweetheart. Great actor. 👍🏻👍🏻

Gradually his character as Chief Inspector changed attitude for the better towards Morris through each season.

I love Bright's apparent naivety about what goes on in 60's Britain. In one episode he argues a male suspect can't be seeing a young woman 'because he's married' 😆

Anton Lesser, what a gentleman! I hope this level of civility is not a generational thing. Those coming up need to be exposed to it. I am lately appalled by the crassness rampant, it seems, in the world. I believe that humanity can do better.
The casting director for Andor killed, never knew who he was but now I absolutely love him. He can play a villain and hero. Major Partaagaz really sold the ISB.
Amazon Prime subscribers in Canada are allowed to pay extra to subscribe to PBS Masterpiece but that does not mean that every program is made available to you. Endeavor Season 8 is one of the ones that is not.
Superb series. Just a shame that CS Bright’s uniform is all wrong
Loved it until this last episode. I didn't care for the storyline.
I agree, the episodes of the very last season seems very amateurish and forced I thought the writing was really pretty bad and I was so surprised about this I just used to be my one of my favorite series. The stories were so implausible and rest to their endings.
This is a amazing company of friends.
That have made the most beautiful intelligent series ever.
But never given the credit by BAFTA or any other award.
Disgraceful.
Although Anton Lesser is a brilliant actor, I am very upset that he and the shows producers chose to allow him to appear in uniform with hair almost to his shoulders. There is no way a chief superintendent would appear like this particularly in this time frame. For me it destroys his credibility.
