- In this video, we look at how to market yourself on Reddit. 5 Steps to Growth Hacking on Reddit. Reddit is one of the biggest websites and communities in the world. They have 1.6 billion visits per day and can generate incredible traffic to any Startup.
The first step is to get familiar with Reddit, really understanding Reddit. Reddit is different from other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram because it was built to be a discussion-based platform.
Make sure you ask all the newbie questions and start engaging with your niche. The final steps are preparing yourself for marketing and then you start gaining traffic.
At the end of the video, we also talk about why it is so much more important and valuable to go viral on Reddit. We tell an amazing story about how Staffan went viral on Reddit and what happened.
Resources and Subreddits mentioned in the video:
Subreddits:
/ startups
/ entrepreneur
/ startup_ideas
/ shamelessplug
/ smallbusiness
/ coupons

It's nice to see someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to growing a business and not talking out of their ass like a lot of those advertisements you see.
Thanks yes really try and do most of my talking through my mouth!
@@RawStartup It is nicer to listen to as well when compared to the alternative
Thank you for this video! I have been struggling with all of the other social media platforms, and I kept coming back to Reddit because I find value with the communities there, whereas IG & FB are just as you stated as just "flying by". This was amazingly valuable for me, and I'll be working through the steps that you've outlined here. I also subscribed, because I like that you got right to the heart of the topic, there was no "sign up for my sales course" anywhere, the "please subscribe" info was at the BEGINNING, and not constantly sprinkled throughout. A well-thought out video, minimal call-to-action, and straight to the topic. Well done! Look forward to learning more! Again, thank you for this wonderful video, and keep up the amazing work!
Thank you I very much appreciate the kind words!
Fast, useful and clear video. No bullshit. Thanks guys!
Yes please, no BS.
Thanks for the info, Great for new reddit users!
No problem!
this was very insightful thank you sooo much!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
I loved your lessons ❤️❤️
Glad you liked them!
Personally I’m not a fan of Reddit. I just use it to ask questions and learn things. But this was interesting. I will give it a try.
Yes, you should try it, not easy to use, but if you figure it out it can be really useful.
Whats the name of your sub
Great content sir, very awesome interview and very helpful tips
Glad you enjoyed it!
still super relevant, thank you!
Great thanks!
Never use to like reddit but i feel like its the best for genuine followers and a core source of people to your page because reddit people usually are interested in what they follow i find
Thanks, yes I agree.
Very useful thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Welcome back!
Thanks, great to be back!
Great timing as I was looking at Reddit to do an early market questionnaire type. Do you think a good channel to do this? Just finding the right sub reddit no?
Yes it can be, find the right sub reddit and read the rules!
Raw Startup but reading the rules was never mentioned in the video? 😉🤪😂😂
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great advice.
Glad you liked it!
Reddit is a great place for supporting long tail keyword research also.
Very true!
I am even loving Reddit already since I started last month.
Reddit is different some people love it some people not so much. I really like it too, now that I understand it better.
LOL
Heini, I think it's brave of you to include the "body language" at 0:02
Kinda makes me trust you even more...
Thanks, yes it just happened :)
Really interesting tips.
Glad it was helpful!
Nice tips
Glad you liked them!
Hey Heini, thanks for the great insights. We are building out a multi-channel raiding party working to liberate the gaming industry from walled gardens- the video helped with our approach. We are actively evaluating good fits, is there anyone you think I should talk with or consider?
Good question, thanks, but not to of my head.
Thanks, it\'s informative. And I have a request to u can u please about tumber
Noted, will look into that
I love reddit can traffic to all my sites
Yup it works!
I never knew that I could promote my self this effectively... I found the power of reddit this late wtf, just thought it would be similar to promoting in facebook groups and twitch tags lol. I know my main channel has good content and I'm reviving it and peopel still love it but it's a new audience who never got to see it.
Glad it worked, it is not easy however, have to really be balanced.
@@RawStartup I built my main channel on a very niche subject and only let it organically build but this is my alt channel where I'm free to experiment!
How long do I have to be on Reddit before I can start posting links?
Thanks, I think that varies from group to group, read the rules and be a little careful.
I made an account earlier this year, haven\'t explored. And their UI isn\'t impressive :D what you think?
Everything about Reddit is different, but I think the number of users just tells the story that they have a passionate following.
Awesome video Sir....Can I use reddit to get views on my UA-cam....if so...How?
You can, but that is a longer story. I have done it with success sometimes. Not easy.
Good
Thanks
Reddit is awsom :)
True
Sir, make video on email marketing pls
Noted, I may just do that very soon!
I took your advice and asked on R/Startup my newbie question about how to grow my new community promoting Liz Cheney president and they banned me and said I was spamming them. Really frustrating.... How do I get advice from Redditt people on 1) How to find like minded people 2) How to find people who have grown things like fan clubs or political people fan clubs?
My best advice here is to follow the rules on Reddit. Usually you get banned because you break some rules.
Thanks
Welcome
How to create reddit community if it says try another
Thanks not sure I understand what you mean
I want to know how to make MY subreddit popular.
Maybe we do a video on that some day!
Amazing Stuff #SIR. These tips will really gonna help
Hope so!
Who can remove perma ban on reddit
Good question, no idea
Love it! I also heard if your comment gets upvoted enough the link within will become \"do Follow.\"
reddit is the worst website on the internet.
I was super impressed with this video until I realised it's a cheap rip-off from another video by Neil patel on the same topic.. Even the skyscrapper example is copy/paste (ua-cam.com/video/U0F1JrmoxTw/v-deo.html) :)
But I learnt something today nevertheless so thanks.
Ok I don't agree and impressive that this 11 minute video is copy of a 3 minute video..
