They're back!
...And that guy's back!
...And that girl's back!
...They're all back!
I literally watched this video to see if anybody I recognized from their older videos was still around lol.
@UA-camUser They probably received their degrees and moved on to other things
Moved to the very bottom of my soul. Thank you all for the work that you do.
this is my fave choral group but - I don't know any of their names XD

Finally a video conference that couldn’t have been an email!
As the old saying goes, 'there is always gold in the comments section'.
Still listening in 2024!
Mark Waters... sigh... that voice ... I love the whole choir, but if I could listen to only one song before I passed... it would be Mark singing a parting glass...
I know exactly what you mean🙏
I have made arrangements with my wife, that song will be played at my funeral as I'm lowered into the ground.
Mark Waters is the MVP, theyll never get a better set of pipes than him.
I love Mark Waters voice. I would love to hear more songs from him. This song is beautiful!
I could hear him sing the dictionary
Another AWESOME job from the Choral Scholars!!
I think Irish music was invented for Mark Waters’ voice! Not only is he a phenomenal singer, but he’s a very modest and down-to-earth young man. My wife and I got to spend a little time visiting with him last year, and he is as enjoyable to talk with as he is to listen to! Just a great guy!!
Hazel Conway also has a fantastic voice, and it’s great to hear her featured in another song!
Someone mentioned Abby Molloy in an earlier comment. My only gripe about her is that she doesn’t have enough stuff on UA-cam! She has a gorgeous voice...it just sounds so PURE!
Kudos to Desmond Earley for the amazing job he does with the choir! It’s a stroke of genius to keep bringing the graduates back for new projects!
Abby has a fair amount of videos on her Facebook page. Great stuff!
wow, you lucky dude
His voice is enchanting! Does he have any more content available??
@@nathanielmcfadden3152, aside from his work with the UCDCS, I don't think so. A few other vocalists have some solo work (Hazel and Abby have some fantastic content on their respective channels), but I believe Mark's singing is just on the UCD channel.
@@bobtnailer oh bummer. Thanks for the info!
33+ million of Irish ancestry in the States looking back proudly at the Emerald Isle.
The Irish diaspora!
He is magic.
I can't get enough of the UCD Choral Scholars. This video is even better than the usual fare. I'm interpreting the composit of thumbnails (?) to be how a choir in the Age of Covid practices social distancing. It's pure genious! From Utah in the USA - I love you guys!!!
This took my breath away. Fabulous performance of a classic air. And Mark Waters is a revelation.
I’m from El Salvador and never would have been exposed to this type of music had I not come to the US 39 years ago. Amazing music, beautiful voices.
Mark's voice is just amazing
With a choir like that it's easy to see how sailors may have been bewitched by the sirens and lured to their doom on the rocks, you'd die happy having heard music like that.
I've lost count of the number of times I have listened to this in the last 24 hours!
Lyrics:
From sweet lovely Derry for fair London town
There is no fairer harbour all around can be found
As the children do wander as the play along the shore
And the joy bells are ringing for the maid of Culmore
The first time I saw her she passed me by
The next time I saw her she bid me goodbye
But the last time I saw her she broke my heart sore
She sailed down to Ireland and away from Culmore
If I had the power the storm for to rise
I would blow the winds high and I'd darken the skies
I would blow the winds higher and the salt seas to roar
On the day that my darling sailed away from Culmore
Fort he shores of America my love I'll go and see
For it's there I know no-one and no-one knows me
But if I don't find her I'll return home no more
Like a pilgrim I'll wander for the maid of Culmore
Like a pilgrim I'll wander for the maid of Culmore
So many were forced to leave Erie, whether or not we wanted to go. That leavin' remains in our DNA, our genetic memory. When we see the sweet, gentle green of Spting, or a carpet of moss, or the ocean, or mist rising off the water... we think of "home", a home we remember, but we kniw not how. If we get to return, it is with tears in our eyes that we greet ahain the green lands of Ireland, and we cannot hear Danny Boy or a song such as this without some cryin'.
Thank you ALL...
@Celtic Revival / Adfywiad Celtaidd Failed? I do not think so!! The progression continues. Irish culture (i.e dance, art, music and festivals) is alive, particularly in the west of Ireland, and is celebrated around the world. There is growing numbers of national primary and secondary schools teaching subjects exclusively as Gaeilge. Admittedly, revival of language has been extremely slow. One of the main reasons for this is the utility if the English language globally! I do think Gaeilge can and will be revived 👌
That guy has the perfect voice to sing those ballads. Wow !
I long thought I'd never hear new performances from many of these exceptional alumni. Maybe my vocal music degree is showing, but asking for autographs would not be beneath me. Choral Scholars is creating celebrities. I'm not sure how aware these singers are of that. Dr. Earley is a treasure, shaping talent into mastery. Balance and blend is fantastic here.
Excellent.
Unreal talent.Mo ghile mear was my fathers favourite song. When I hear it by the Choral Scholars I cry and im 52 yrs old
A few drops of Irish blood flow through my veins, coming from Irish ancestors who immigrated to France two centuries ago. They were called O'Brian, and had their name Frenchized in Obrion. These few drops are touched and moved by the grace and the beauty of this song interpreted with so much talent. Merci, merci, mille fois merci.
So grateful that Desmond and the Scholars continue to post videos of their performances for a wider audience. The harmonies are gorgeous and the cello accompaniment lends a moving melancholy enhancement.
Marks voice gives me a heart on every time 💓
Angelical voices making justice to that jewel called traditional Irish music. My admiration from Spain.
Mark Waters.... Beauty
Gorgeous, as always. Hang in there everyone. 💚💚💚
He have the voice of an Angel. I love them so much
These wonderful men and women have provided us the gift of their voices to soothe and inspire and hold us in love.
Hauntingly beautiful. You will need a moment, after the song ends. Don't jump to the next thing on YT, please. Just take a moment...
Words are inadequate. Tears are enough. Thank you for your gift to all of us.
Please give us the glorious Mark and Abby duet we all need.
Beautiful 💕💕 and Mark Waters what a voice! 🙌
Wow. Just wow.....
Wow, it's beautiful! What an incredible and moving voice you have.
The choir and the music accompany so beautifully. Thank you.
A patchwork of angels 🤗
This choir sends chills down my spine. Breathtaking.
I love your performances, and this is wonderful. Through this difficult time, to continue to share your incredible talents with us all, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for doing this. ❤️
I've just come across the UCD choral scholars and wow, I am blown away. I have actual goosebumps listening, so good.
I seriously love these guys! Hearing them sing really makes me feel connected to my Irish heritage
I love this song and would probably be embarrassed if anyone knew how many times I've listened to it. Thanks for releasing this!
They are wonderful. I look forward to seeing more from them.
This gave me chills! It’s so hauntingly beautiful! Thank you 💚
WOW! Absolutely beautiful I'm so very touched! Great job I love it!
Just lovely!
Although I am quite impressed by this arrangement and the group of singers, what really hits me in the heart is the tenor voice of the main singer (Mark Waters), the delicate guitar work (Kevin Whyms), and the heartbreaking emotion of the story in the song.
¡Cuanto más la escucho, más me gusta! ¡Qué maravilla!
Refreshing and lovely music. I spent a bit of time in County Kerry, but also throughout the island. Ireland never disappoints, with her people or their music.
Thank you. I love listening to you!!!
Wow….this the best version I’ve ever heard 😢
Absolutely stunning, like always. Incredible!
I heard this for the first time three days ago on satellite radio and was mesmerized. It's been in my mind all weekend. Finding and watching it today was a bonus. Bravo.
Though we have emerged from widespread isolation, we still need this beautiful music to heal our spirits.
Just simply spectacular.
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Wow just wow!!
Incredibly beautiful!
So Beautiful
This is great, please continue to post more!
Wonderful, as usual. Thank you so much, yet again, all Choral Scholars of UCD!
My gosh, what a beautiful song!
Just beautiful...
Mark Waters is amazing. I tried to find other projects of his on UA-cam, but only these are coming up
You guys are AMAZING!!!!!!
No words to explain how great and wonderful work you do guys 🤗 wish all the best with loves from Finland 🇫🇮❤
Amazing voices again and again.
Beautiful as always!
I love all your videos! Your voices are all amazing!
Just beautiful and a delight to listen
Incredible, they are, owesome, my soul hit the blue sky!
This is so beautiful. Sensational. A year ago but love it today.
Thank you so much for your music. So haunting and beautiful. Love this choir.
As we pray worldwide for vaccines to get approved and made for this blasted COVID -- such pleasure to close one's eyes and imagine this blessed group in a concert hall with thousands in attendance, rapt in attention. God have mercy on us all. Much love.
Gorgeous.Thank you for posting.
Truly wonderful music! Love it so much and so glad to see the grads/alumni still singing with the choir! Keep them coming people! Thanks so much.
I got goosebumps listening to this... masterpiece of perfect harmony.
Edit: I have listened to this song a few times now, and the last time, I just had to close my eyes and only listen to the song, the voices, the rhythm, without being distracted by what my eyes could see. And I found myself shedding a tear or two or... five, cause... to me, this is pure beauty of the voices. I listen to all sorts of music, depending on my mood, but I can honestly say that Irish music, has a special place in my heart and the performance from Choral Scholars, is something of the most beautiful I have ever listened to.
Thank you, for the pure beauty you give us all with your voices.
Greetings from Norway!
Beautiful. You should all be together. Thank you for the music
Yet another beautiful song ❤️ thank you!
Beautiful! And just when we most need something beautiful. Thanks!
What a beautiful song and the singer did exceptionally great job on the rendition of it.
Love and thanks from California!
tears in my eyes
His voice is so beautiful. Well done!
Great!
Stunningly beautiful!
Just love these videos.
Wonderful song
Agree that Mark Waters needs to make an album. Nothing like a lovely Irish tenor
Beautiful! Thank you!
Gurgus guys and girls..I love this song and I love this version..Thankyou you've made me very happy
Second album? I love my invisible stars! How great to see so many back! I love Abby (Orphan Girl is so lovely) Mark ((you should be declared a national treasure) and Hazel (Gartan Lullaby is a favorite) - I'm sorry I couldn't match faces to names for all, but I assure you, someone in Texas thinks each of you is remarkable. All of you produce such beautiful music, I guess I better check Amazon.
@@desmondearley69 it is easy to tell you how wonderful is all the work these singers have done, but I would not forget the guide that steers all - thank you for your work sir!
Crazy beautiful!!!
My favourite performance of the year ... Breathtaking.
