Hmm I haven’t thought about mailing list. Michael’s (the craft store) is constantly mailing insane discount coupons. Not thrifting, but could be some good retail flipping if you rip a 50% coupon well.
plato's are individually owned and managed differently. I have made tons off of them, but you have to catch them on a sale day. Last year I bought 200 hoodies on $2 day, and at one of the other stores I caught the 90% off sale and got tons of under armour hoodies and shirts for like $1 to $2. It's my favorite store to hit since they take the time to inspect stuff before they buy it so the condition is good 98 out of a 100 times.
Regarding the bras - I remember listening to a side hustle podcast of a teacher who made lots of money selling bras. They'd buy store closeouts at greatly reduced prices and resell online. He said he was walking through the ladies aisle with a cart full of bras and ran in to one of his students who wondered why some guy wanted so many bras!
I love when you show your human side. I flub stuff up all the time but rarely recover the way you do. I love the T-shirt layers. You two are just fun to watch voice over or not.
Platos Closet was my spot when I started Summer of 2020 part time. So many pairs of shoes between $30-50 that went for $100+ and get those no fees. That helped me jump start my reselling. Then I kinda thought about it and told myself do I wanna buy 2 pairs at Platos for $100 or over 10 pairs for $100 at a Thrift Store. That was my thinking trying to build my store at the beginning now I'm almost 600 listings in so ROI and sell through are my main focuses. Love the videos and you guys are great.

Someone collecting these Can take a little real fine sand paper and smooth out the nick. A dab of dark Scratch cover. Let dry then wipe off excess. Love the hunt

My mother said the original carpet was white and black, but at some point, when she was still a kid, the carpet was replaced with red. So the current carpet is from to probably the late 60's. The couch was never covered in plastic, but it's still in like-new condition. My mother said something about how old it was and having to get rid of it when we clean out the house one day, and I told her to stay away from that couch. LOL. I'm not into mid-century, but others are. And that couch has nary a butt-print on the cushions, nor stain or rip in the gold fabric. It was kept in a dark room, away from sunlight, in a no-smoking, pet-free house. Someone will think they've won the lottery when that living room set comes on the market one day.

I finally traveled to the bins this following week and I didn’t make a killing. This is tempting me to move to a bigger city just to hit the bins every day. I actually found better stuff hitting a curb alert on my way home. Keep the content coming. I watch your videos to and fro my thrift stores local.

The cast iron all padded up made me chuckle. You could run that thing over with a UPS truck, a FED EX truck, a USPS truck, a DHL truck, followed by a random Dominos driver who didn't realize a video was being made and it still wouldn't lose shape. It's cast iron. Could be used as a bulletproof chest plate. Cast iron is definitely one of those items you can find regularly at garage sales pretty inexpensive and you'll have it for life.

I think my instinct would have been to sell the softball glove myself, but looking up the number (A9810), I think you saved yourself some grief with the instant flip. A $30 item on a good day, and there is a sold at that for one that looked a little worse, but I have a feeling it would sit. Also odd that Wilson updated that model often and there are much newer versions that look much different.
I believe the Joffrey Stitchery thing is a cross stitch kit! Keep an eye out for older Christmas cross stitch kits, many of them are worth killer money!!! Found a ton of them at Goodwill one time and I think the best one sold for around $80, one of my best Goodwill finds ever in terms of profit 😁
At the 4:45 mark, there was a light purple Chubs baby wipes container. They look like a huge Lego! They don't make them anymore. I sold off my collection of roughly 75 or so 15-20 years ago at a yard sale & I still regret it! I was actually thinking about them a day or so ago. They were great for making forts & castles etc.!!! FYI...They still sell for good $$ on eBay!

It stands for the company logo reduce reuse recycle. In January and July they should run mega clearance sales that could include a bag sale where everything you shove in the bag is x dollars also dollar sales so definitely sign up for the store texts!!

Sir you are the one with the experience, but Personally as a size Medium, my thought is that a medium size should be about as fast a seller as a large. As a NOVICE ebayer I would think Med and Lg would be the fastest sellers. When I shop for my size (med) I find it to be the one most likely to be out of stock. Love the video's. As someone from an Oregon Duck family, I know this would sell. Plus, I think in sports stuff (even college sports), male sellers tend to think that only males will want the stuff. Not true! I am also the biggest Boston Bruins fan out there and when I see something that ISN'T an xxl, I get excited. So remember- sports stuff and college stuff isn't always for big guys! :)
When you get a hat you can’t get clean, grab some bleach spray and a cheese grater - distress it and it will sell! I have sold tons of hats that way. Thought it might be good for some of those bins hats. (Plus it’s fun to distress the hats, similar to the reverse tie-dyes you have been doing) Happy Holidays guys!
If you ever find the hand painted Big Sky Carvers birds - get them! They sell well on eBay! (They make other animals too that sell well). They are actually made about 20 minutes from where I live in MT! Love your vids I always get inspiration!
We have the smart set alarm clocks. My in-laws got them for us off of QVC I think. Only fault is they are still set to the old daylight savings time so they will change your time in the wrong month. Also the homeco owls you can get pretty good money for them.
