Josh always has the best responses to “how are you doing?” - “better than we deserve”
That’s from Dave Ramsey.
That's cute ??! I guess...🤔 💕
Just absolutely wrong. 😍
Dave Ramsey taught him that! LOL
I love the random squeak from Mose playing with his toy while you guys were explaining what you got. Love that pup!!
he was talking with the birds lol
Hahaha it made my dogs perk their ears up 😂
Same! Had me laughing remembering my old American Staffy and her squeaky lamb.
Whether it's an overpriced estate sale, yard sale or thrift shop, it always feels good to find the item/items they missed. You get a special sense of accomplishment knowing that you knew something they didn't! 😂
Agreed, at times it makes me want to act like a 7 year old and rub it in their face lol
They charged those kind of prices and then charged you for the credit card fee? I would have put everything back. That is “their” price of accepting cards. They should be paying the price for that.
That is ridiculous.
I’m so glad you like your “Hairy Tomato!” Thank you for the shout out! ❤️❤️
It was really cute. Good job - do you have a shop or IG or something? I've done some crochet, but always ready to support people who do crafts/sewing/quilting, crochet, knittting, etc.
@@beckypetersen2680 I have my insta shown in the video and my etsy shop link is in my bio of my insta! :)
Whew! Those estate sale prices are rough when you get used to bins & thrift. Still fun to see the stuff they had. And I totally agree about the NWT items...like I promise if I buy it for $200 you'll see me in it 3 times a week 🤣🤣🤣
The more estate sales you go to the more you learn that some companies are just better than others - better prices, better processes, better motivation to actually sell items. I don't live in an area where we have estate sales anymore but I used to. Learned which companies to go to make a point of going their sales and which ones to pass on.
What a sad experience! They even charged a $7.95 credit card fee and sales tax lol
Yeah lol it was rough
As Josh would say “Golly”
These homeowners had $$!
For estate sales, I usually wait and go on half price day. I’ve found some good scores and I’m not tempted by the overpriced items. Another great video. Thanks for sharing.
You should really tell them charging for using a card violates their card agreement. They could give a cash discount, but can’t charge extra. They really should read the agreement
Laws on that vary state by state, and there was also recent legislation that may contradict that.
To get stains out of upholstered furniture I do the following with great results. Mix in spray bottle half water and half peroxide with a couple drops Dawn dish soap. Spray fabric until saturated (entire piece to keep from leaving stain rings) and then sprinkle with baking soda and rub in with a rag. Let dry completely and vacuum off once dry. Turns out clean and fresh smelling. Try on the settee bench if you get it.
Estate sales out here are always overpriced. They usually do 50% off the last day so it's pretty picked through, but you can still find stuff because people leave good stuff cause they don't want to pay so much.
I went to an estate last weekend on Sat and then again on Sunday. It was 50% off on Sunday and because I had went the day before I was able to go back and pretty much get everything that I had left behind on Sat
@@keatonmay9685 I've done that same thing so many times
Helly Hansen is a Norwegian brand. They're historically big on sailing wear. Great brand, high quality.
I bought a Wantdo winter jacket at the Goodwill for $12. Best $12 I’ve ever spent! Living in northern Mn and having horses I’m outside all winter long and absolutely love this jacket! It’s warm, comfortable and waterproof. Not a well known brand but it has become my favorite. Just had to chime in when I saw them on your video. 🙂
I remember years ago, we travel from So Cal to Toronto, it was freezing temperatures. I got a long wool coat from Goodwill, it saved my life! The best part is only $10 dollars 😁😄
Thermal printer was a good find ... The Estates sales was quite high prices so you did well for the stuff you got 👍
I have a few Helly Hanson jackets they're good quality 😊
It is called “retail therapy”… people rack up credit card bills with designer stuff because they “feel good” (a rush) when they spend money… hen when the bill comes they feel guilty so they leave the stuff “hidden” away. I have a family member that does stuff like that!!! She filed for bankruptcy with a $16,000 credit card bill and didn’t learn her lesson from it!!! “Fleeces” a new car every two years because she “doesn’t like old”.
Great video. Love the "husband of haleytornado" shirt. Blessings Shirlene ✝️
The birds make the endings of your videos so peaceful now
That's exactly why I stay away from those state sales run by auction/estate sellers. The prices are ridiculously high. I can just go to the store and pay the same prices.! But that's not why I go to these sales! I love a bargain!
My wife and I usually have the best of luck at estate sales through Aether sales here in Kentucky. I've bought stuff from vintage Starter Redskins jackets for $5; to a lot of Jurassic Park toys for $10. We tried other companies before, but they always price stuff accordingly.
I love when Mose gets a squeaky toy, not only for the joy on his sweet face, but because my dog looks at the laptop like "I heard that! Where's Audie's squeaky toy? Audie wants a squeaky toy Mommy!"
A lot of resellers balk at the high prices found at estate sales these days, but I think we forget that Day 1 at the estate sale is rarely priced to cater to resellers. I go to hunt for deals to resell, but i'll also pay up for the things I collect. I just paid $80 at an estate sale for a rare book I needed (yes, needed), and I'd never be able to resell it for a penny more even if I wanted to. I think we, as resellers, often lose perspective and think every venue should be priced like a Mississippi yard sale. But many sellers, especially these days, treat venues like estate sales or antique markets as the end of the food chain for those items. They aren't in the business of making us money. Sourcing is a creative art these days.
Exactly.
Great point 👍
💯💯💯
I get what your saying but the companies also aren’t going to help their clients what so hey price it too high that it won’t sell. Unfortunately a lot of estate sales that I’ve been too are priced higher than new, like used items at the sales will be higher than new. Estate sales are to sell, pricing super high doesn’t help sales.
I am a fairly new subscriber but love your content . I am not a reseller or anything but enjoy watching you an Hayley on the hunt for stuff . I wanted to comment because when you were talking about the estate sales and the instances where they have so much stuff that was still new with tags and fairly expensive I agreed I also noticed that every time I watched one of the estate videos I can not help but get a little sad and wonder about the back story of the situation of why the sale was necessary which I know can be a variety of reasons.keep up the good content!
Me To, Not A Reseller ...Just Enjoy There Content.
Only resellers are allowed. Sorry guys
It's great to see Haylee looking relaxed. Your interaction with josh is now so natural
you guys really need to put out 2-3 vids a week. that's how much we love you guys. plus our lives really suck and you guys have a good life. kinda makes us feel better. i'm disabled and my wife is my health aid for now so i cannot get out and buy like i used to. we are sandispad on mercari but we sell so little it really does not matter. that's why you guys need to do a few more vids. Ron & Aleta
We already put out 3 videos a week. 😂 I don't think I could do any more lol
They certainly weren't priced for resellers, but some Great Deals if you were purchasing for personal. Glad you found stuff they overlooked.
I have only been to two estate sales and they were way too expensive. I prefer yard sales but still feel a little awkward going through people's stuff. lol. Great Dyno printer find. I love watching y'all. It's always great seeing couples work together. I can't wait until my husband can quit his job and help me full time. :)
I loved hearing the squeaks in the background! I assume that was Mose happily destroying his new toy. Good trick, btw, the "turn around" for Mose! I was glad to see you found stuff at the estate sale because those always feel so discouraging when it looks like everything is overpriced. I'm gonna count that 2nd to last frisbee shot as in. Truthfully, I only heard it and couldn't see it, so I woulda believed ya if you said it was in!
I go to estate sales almost every weekend. You get to know the companies that leave a little meat on bone. It's always funny to see which way everyone goes. I'd be heading to the kitchen and collectable stuff. Always love your videos. Thanks for taking us along. You can always go back early on half price day.
I’ve never been to an estate sale. Seems like you have to get there at the right time to find the reasonably priced items. Love the shirt Josh!
Exactly. Sometimes that is my motivation lol
Geez, those prices!!! Congrats on your Whatnot sale last night. You guys are killing it! So happy for you.
I just love watching the two of you out there thrifting and that estate sale was expensive, but you did well.
Let's goooo!! Another HT video. Never answered your last poll on IG but I watch everything you post and think some of your strength is the variety of content you put out.
We love watching you guys! Thank you!
Those DIFF sunglasses are so nice. They are a charitable company that sells glasses so they can provide eye exams, surgeries etc to provide the gift of sight to people that wouldn't otherwise have the chance. My good friend works for them. She ran into them doing their charity work while she was in the Peace Corp in Uganda. Great Finds!
Enjoy watching your channel, just a beautiful family putting a lost job into a brilliant idea. So happy for the 3 of you enjoy your new home keep us posted of the progress.
We went to an estate sale looking for a small patio table set that we saw online. It ended up being the plastic wicker looking material and it was so brittle that if you poked it, it broke right apart. They wanted $225 🙄
But I try not to go to estate sales on the first day, I prefer when they have the discounts as the sale goes on.
Love Estate Sales, they are always a lot of fun to explore :) I'm glad you guys had a good time !! Thank you for always taking us along :) Keep up the good work on your Disc Golf Game!! :)
What a gorgeous house that sale was in! and the Hairy tomato is super cute!
That was def a high amount for an estate sale and of course the fun at the end, I always cheer you on! I can't wait to get my 3 pairs of sneakers I got last night, on Whatnot you guys kill it on there and I am just so happy for both of you and sweet Mose! I went to a thrift store yesterday and I got a brand new pair of Vans in black and it was 1/2 price so I only paid $15.00... Thanks so much for always giving us fun... I had never heard of disc golf before I saw you playing, I wiah we had them by me!
Thank you so much for the support! Your items are being shipped out today :)
@@HairyTornado I can't wait to see them. I also think I hit Savers right when they put out new thing in shoes, 2pr of Merrill's 4-5 Brooks and so many others took 5 backs brown to carry them out I felt like I hit the lottery! Again so happy to support your Whatnot sale. I did go on some guys selling video games and I got a few... I can't wait to see your next fun...
Hey Hayley and Josh...we go to lots of Estate sales but usually wait and go back the last day to get the best deals. The companies usually mark stuff down like 75% or more off. You really found some good deals especially $4 for Oakley sunglasses wow! Great finds in a rough area to get deals.
In a Weed Sprayer Pump Container, mix together: 1 gallon regular vinegar, 3 cups regular salt and 1/4 cup of Dawn dish detergent. This will not completely kill the roots of invasive weeds but it is cheap & easy to use and does a good job of killing top growth and keeping weeds from taking over.
Love watching yall shop.
From my memory helly hansen jackets were all the range around 15 years ago, then it was superdry, now north face.
A couple of goats might be the best natural care for the growth in the back. Previous house I had to have mine mowed every other month. I’ve used the method you mentioned with salt. It didn’t work on everything but it helps.
I love to find Helly Hansen! "It's the #1 apparel brand for Ski Professionals, you’ll find HH at more than 200 ski resort and guiding operations around the world, and worn by more than 55,000 ski professionals."
Sorry, having to write this twice. I don’t know about estate sales where you are at, but in Arizona estate sales are 50% off on the last day and are sometimes even negotiable because they have to get rid of the stuff. Good luck on future estate sales. ☺️
Just found your channel. You both seem like really kind people. I absolutely love your doggy ❤️. I'll be watching all your videos. Very sensible and kind. 👍
My dad and I do a lot of estate sales and this was very expensive but still some good finds. The staring at stars jacket is an urban outfitters brand and that Helly Hansen should be good. Love watching you guys keep up the job work!
Love your shirt Josh! Love
watching you both! 💕
Love the hairy tomato. That was one expensive estate sale.
Love watching your videos all the way from Brisbane Australia. My friend and I are addicted to your videos and can’t wait to watch your next one. We can’t believe the deals you get at your thrift shops - called Op Shops in Australia (short for Opportunity 😀). You also have so many garage/yard sales with such great bargains. We are super jealous 😀 Keep up the great videos and love seeing your new home evolving in a great place to live and work. We plan to come to the States hopefully next year and will definitely be visiting some Goodwill stores while we are there 😀👍 And Mose is the cutest dog 🐕 ❤️❤️
Crazy prices for sure. Go back second day and see what you can get. Loved your shirt at the end. Lol 😂
"Super cute, it looks just like me". You got that right.
Awe, Josh. I about died when you touched all of the Turtle Plush's! I kept yelling to buy them for me, but you didn't 😆😂🤣😅
Great video enjoy watching thank you for sharing
I'm not a reseller but I've always enjoyed watching both of you shop along videos.
On how to get rid of baby trees; I've found out that it's best to put on a pair of good gloves on and pull it by the roots while it is still small. Pull up what you can and then use big tree clippers to trim it down as close as you can to the roots; to prevent the trees from growing back. Some people might suggest to mow it down or use weed Wacker. But I've found that the baby trees will continue to grow back; plus you will have a bundle of stumps to trip on. Good luck with getting rid of all of those baby trees....that is in your disc golf's path.
Great video as always; and love the toilet in the background for the last ~5 minutes :D
Lovely home, so well organized. You did so well with your choices, nice clean items.
Loved the 3 segment video, great mix.
Man I really love your channel and your energy! You guy inspire me so much I go back and watch your older videos. Let me know if you come back to sav ga I would love to meet you both🙏🏾❤️
Great video! Definitely kinda spendy but great content! Going to be looking out for those brands. Very helpful.
Great video thanks x
That darn 14 chain basket showed no love!
I'm always impressed that you know what brand of shoes & clothing your looking at. I would be horrible at reselling clothes.
Also i love hearing Mose chewing on the squeek toy while your talking..ya just hear squeek squeek every now and then very funny
The two of you brighten my day, thank you for that!
Helly Hansen is number 1 brand sold in Europe for winter/autumn clothes. Super high quality, quite expensive.
Josh the natural solution is one gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt and 1 to 2 TB of blue Dawn. Put in on in the morning so the solution will be absorbed to the roots during the day.
Best video on UA-cam today for me, keep it up guys!🔥
Love the video as always. How many tricks can Mose do? Always like seeing him in vids! 🐶
He can sit, lay down, turn around and shake (kind of). He just holds in paw like 3 inches off the ground and you have to go get it lol
“Better than we deserve!” I hope you got that bench. It’s so awesome.
My dad always said once you drive the new car off the lot it's worthless ... Works with all items
I’m at work scrolling for a video and this came up 5 minutes ago. Man I’m excited!
GREAT VIDEO, I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR. THANK YOU
Haven’t seen you do a pull-n-pack video in a while! My favorite kind!
Hello from the Uk love the vids keep up the good work😁
I love that, at the end of the video, you are wearing the 'Husband of Hailey Tornado' t-shirt :-)
Disc golf!!! Loved the shirt @ the end. 😊
It was fun shopping with you two. I hope you make some great profits from the estate sale~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪 High prices...but as usual love the content. Well done you two🙂
Love your tee Josh!!
Josh you might try a weed burning torch. You can get them at Home Depot, Lowes. Not sure if you have a Harbor Freight where your at, but you can pick up a reasonably priced one there. Obviously be careful of the time of year you use it.
Love your shirt at the end! :)
I love the “Husband of Hayley Tornado” shirt!!!
His wife however is just right for a lifetime partner, she is so there and so into it, yet lets him lead thru out. Like having four eyes. Now I see her selling thier finds; they compliment each other without tension or ego struggles. Nice to see.
You might as well ask flesh not to grow skin. Plants are soil creators, how can you expect plants to not grow in it? You want the perfect system to go away. Aside from that cover it with opened cardboard boxes; that always works.
Lol I was yelling “get the Bop It!” What a relief when you picked it up
That back yard was fabulous!!
It’s great to see you’ve got a disc golf 🥏⛳️ set up in your backyard! I really enjoy playing with family and friends ! As always great content guys ! Thanks for helping us all with what to watch out out for . When it comes to deals and what prices are current! 😃👏😃👏👏👏
Wow estate sales are high!! Good luck though love you both and Mose !!!!
The thing about these estate sales is that they’re not selling with the intention of trying to help a flipper to make a profit. Their main focus is for people who are looking to buy things for their own personal use and wouldn’t mind paying up for them.
And also their obligation is to the estate, to get as much money for the deceased and for remaining family
I know this video was 9 months ago but I just saw it. Try salt, vinegar & dawn in warm water so the salt dissolves then spray. Don’t do it if you’re expecting rain. Should dry up and die quick. Works like a charm for me and my pup stays safe.
nice to hang out withchu guys, greets from germany
Lol the hairy tomato cracked me up
New subscriber, excited to see what you buy!
Having baskets is great! I usually forget my own bag.
hairy tornado learning gen z slang
Omg the white wicker bench is gorgeous
Someone obviously had a shopping “love”!!! All the new stuff w/ tags still on!
I loved the meanie babies. I use to collect them. My favorite was Splat the road kill cat!
Great find on they dymo printer jesh
