Excellent work! The script I created for my language, Itlani, is very blockish in its printed form. In it handwritten form, however, it does have a more arabesque look (not unlike your Ashuadi. A friend of mine made several fonts for the Itlani script, and he worked very hard on them, but I think it is fair to say it was not as complex as the process you have gone through. Very well done indeed.

Thanks for the compliment. I do plan on trying to see if I can produce a handwriting version of Ashuadi at some point since my font software supports both layers and has a brush/pen mode - but I have yet to give it a shot to see what can be done.

Oh wow! I have never tried to script ligatures. I created separate glyphs for every single possible syllable in my font, which has a similar structure to yours, except syllable codas can sometimes include two consonants, making for a very long list of possible syllables. It's very long task, but I would have no idea where to start with scripting like that.

This is my personal favorite of your videos. These shorter videos are also really good for these topics.
I personally like your /t/ glyph.
What software is that at 4 minutes in btw?

Thank you for this comment, made within minutes of it being posted even. It means a lot to me :)
Glad you like the /t/ :)

Oh sorry, missed the last question. I use Fontlab Studio 7 - best font software out there in my opinion :)

What software are you using to store these glyphs? Because writing on paper is a bit hard for me, considering I have thought on having 40 - 50 glyphs for my conlang alphabet and looking back and fourth for my "letters" is getting a bit annoying.

I am creating these glyphs as a font, using software called Fontlab Studio 7. They are mapped to the keys on the keyboard that way and I can simply switch to the Ashuadi font to enter text. Fontlab is expensive, but there are cheaper alternatives that can do the same thing. [Type 3.2](www.cr8software.net/type.html) from Cr8software costs around $40 US. That would give you access to the Ligature Features that I use to allow for substitutions of glyphs depending on what is entered. So if you have created a glyph for say /ʃ/ you can add code to your font to allow typing in SH to get the matching glyph you created for that sound. This means you can have your Romanization reflect what appears when you type it in. I find this to be the easiest means of entering a conlang using a font version of my conscript. I hope that makes sense. There is free software called FontForge that will let you do the same thing but its not that well documented or easy to use. If you are doing a one time project it might be worth looking into using that.

@@yrburd Oh UA-cam didn't like a markup type link, just take the bracket off the end of the link and it should work.

honestly version 1 dosen`t look bad at all, but the final one is definitely better.

Okay thanks. To me version 1 looks very clunky, perhaps its just my esthetical senses evolving. These changes took place over several years
