Exactly, William! I was a studio musician between bands, very good at picking other ppls’ music and improving on it. I actually wrote in some neat changes for a few guys, some of them I know you’ve heard of, but they used my changes and I never got a mention! In fact! I got duped a few times. When you know the studio owners, it feels like a real smack in the face, kinda stings after awhile…
@@pugilemoltobene3708 and then you have guys like Tim Pierce, who are complete animals in the studio. He has played on everything from adel to shine down. But ask the average person if they know who he is, and they wouldn’t have a clue, but I guarantee they’ve heard him play lol
@@williamsporing1500 hey, Bill - yeah, I didn't care about the recognition. In one particular case, I was supposed to be paid directly by the band upon completion... and they used my recordings and changes at another studio for their album. I won't mention the studio producer, either, he's quite famous as well...known him for decades; he just said 'well, think of it like this - no contract with you, they know who you are, and they're thinking you can't do anything to enforce getting your money! c'mon! these guys are gypsies!' Mark is uncorrupted and loyal to his passion and plays a free man , thats music . Forget “the best” it’s a systemic way to exclude the real everyday players , check the net the amount of fantastic players couldn’t be counted . Mark’s face says it all .lol I’ll keep plodding !🇦🇺
You know what's even crazier? I can go home and blast guitarists who are 1000 times better than him for free. I would go see them play live, but they're all dead.

@@Banzo_A needlessly sarcastic comment, the guy's doing a perfectly good job. However, if you want to go down that road, it's better than 'Dianna and St Nick', by a country mile. Or ten.
Mark always plays a few miles down from me in Carmarthen town. Plays beautifully when ever he busks, heart and Soul goes into every note he plays. Incredible guitarist and lovely feller. :)
Ha ha, if I was there, he'd be round my place drinking my beer and showing me that bit,nah nah, that bit. Oh okay, let's try that again, yeah that sounds great.
Wow! What I really like about this guy, less is more! Every notes hits the spot! He is awesome! What a pro and your sound is so gooooooooooood! Thanks for posting this!
Love to see an genius autistic brother living his best life and surviving on the fringe. Enjoy these guys talent when you see them as you don't see them often.
The “looking for something unique” sign at the back points straight at the guitarist. Probably was not realised by the camera, but still a great detail. And a touching rendition…!
Great to hear those fabulous guitar tones Mark. The "jam" with the Hare Krishna group was an added bonus. Looked like the enjoyed it too. Cheers from Brisbane Australia
Wow that is a beautiful sound sir!! And a beautiful guitar! Wow you should be playing at the bars or or so mewhere where your making big bucks. Your sound is southern blues, country swing or something I can’t quite put a label on. Sounds like you could be doing all kinds of things if you wanted, but…. Busking is totally freedom👍❤️❤️
I like all the subtle little changes with the pickup selection and tone and volume controls when he is playing. A real masterclass in blues guitar so tasteful.
B,Jesus! It's 'Hippy' Mark!!! Haven't seen you since the eighties in B right on. Still playing and what great tone and technique. Lots of love bruv. Xx M.
Not all the best guitarists are playing stadiums, this guy is good and deserves more recognition of his talent.
I’m my opinion, none of the best guitarists are playing stadiums. They’re usually session guys like Pierce.
Yes!
❤👍⭐💯⭐👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This guy is incredible you can tell he plays with his heart and soul. The way a guitar should be played. ❤
Great playing and fine tone. Not all of the world's greatest players make it big or even go recognized. This guy is great.
He is very good!
Some of the best musicians in the world are backroom players, and we may never get to hear them, this guy knows his skill...
Ive worked with some session guys that are VERY good, but nobody knows who they are.

Amazing how people just walk past yet would pay a small fortune to see a guitar player with chops like that in a staged venue! Crazy....

Pretty average playing
Excuse me, I'm just going to the other side of the room to retrieve my socks, they've just been blown off. That playing hit's the spot. Wow.

Couldn't agree more!
He sounds excellent!
Nothing complements good blues as much as looking like you've lived it.
How is it that people can just walk by and not even notice someone kickin' it like this? It takes self-absorpsion to a whole different level.
Very smooth .
The man knows his way around the fret board pretty well
Absolutely loved this version. Just right. Mark Allen if you ever read this comment. Great stuff mate your a blessing to the world.
Beautiful tone , tasteful. Breaks my heart he's on streets 💔 😪 NO ONE SHOULD BE HOMELESS!
I agree but Mark is not homeless....
@@artfrob3754 Well I'm glad because he shouldn't be! What a talented individual. A gift of expression
Great playing Mark ❤ you're really in the groove, it's amazing 👏 🤩 cheers 🍻 from Australia 🇦🇺 😊
this man knows the blues
Cardiff and it's people are amazing. I honestly wish I could move there.
Good job I wasn't out shopping there,. I'd have got nothing done because I'd have been watching him all day 😂
Ha ha, if I was there, he'd be round my place drinking my beer and showing me that bit,nah nah, that bit. Oh okay, let's try that again, yeah that sounds great.
Stop the outside bashing and enjoy what's inside this dude
cheap people taking cheap shots.
Nice and smooth, like travelling in a 64 mustang down route 66
It's great to hear Mark's skilful playing again - wonderful 😀
Thanks for your support.

" Dan Fogelberg summed it up.. Its not how much you play its WHAT you play."
@@donsscooters Perfectly said!😉
Understated and smooth as silk with a fantastic tone and touch. All you need in my book.
Wish I could see this musician live. Really like this music. Thanks.
He's absolutely brilliant.... Check out him playing Albatross by Fleetwood Mac.
Mark Allen awesome guitar player 😊
Go on lad… get it some … sweet 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 had my guitar since December and boom…. Absolutely 💯 loving it…
Wow! That"s guitar playing. Got to love it man. Thanks! Mr. Allen
That is the coolest blues Ive heard for a while and some tasty licks in there...brilliant...
Some awesome blues playing there!
Love to see an genius autistic brother living his best life and surviving on the fringe. Enjoy these guys talent when you see them as you don't see them often.
Just fantastic to hear you playing with such feeling thanks mark keep them coming thank you from dai fantastic taffswell
Nice to see someone play some classic blues on the street.. Tasty guitarist.. Well done!!
Can't help feelin' there's a little bit of JJ Cale in there. Nice.
Holy cow, what a great shuffle grove! Swing it!😊
A very good feel in this blues.
Ein ganz toller Blues Gitarrist , man spürt die große Liebe zur Musik. Meine Hochachtung.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Shredding the shit out of that tune... What a clean tone and sound... Bravo... Wow!
He’s a fking guitar genius. 👏👏👏👍👌✌️🖖🫶😎
Love listening to this guy!! So much talent
Please more, makes good times roll...😊❤
He should record a full album, I'd buy it 🎸😋🎸
Yes me too. Great driving music.
Great rendition. Glad to see you back on UA-cam.
thats just what i needed jazzy bluesy , its as smooth as the color of the Guitar. Thanks::::
Real nice touch. Smooth, powerful, clean
He makes every note count. If he were shredding up and down the fretboard, it would get boring real fast. A perfect example of less is more.
Great point not to mention many of the head banging shredders haven’t soul
Great clean playing, love the tones.
Brilliant and soulful, bluesy playing 🎸🎶
Nice one!!!! Keep playing the Blues. You do it SO well!!!!!!!
Every note so tasteful, and beautifully placed! Thank you Mark
Love it…good groove, good chops.
Excellent Mark.
The “looking for something unique” sign at the back points straight at the guitarist. Probably was not realised by the camera, but still a great detail. And a touching rendition…!
OUTSTANDING catch! You must be a cop or detective. 👍
Great feel and phrasing Mark and I loved every second.
Sweet, nice touch 👍
Thats the face of a man who loves what he does. Youre an inspiration Mark. Love from NZ
What just came into my mind was the rolling stone Magazin and the top100 guitarist!
Street musicians could replace a lot of those guitarists
Had to bust out my harmonica and play with ya lol haven't played in almost 30 years. Thanks! lol
Cool, could listen all day to this man
Nice playing, got the feel..Fab..!
We need that stuff at Glastonbury which now resembles a Sunday School afternoon tea party!!!
It takes great skill and control to play like that.
Sweet Sound , Thank You , Sounds Great !! Amazing !! Awesome !!
Unbelievable, this is I'm sure the guy who use to live and play in Brighton, he's an incredible musician.
Five minutes of pure joy ❤
As a seasoned player ..this guy has the feel ..vibrato dynamics and chops …😊
Beautiful and stunning. So much of his Joy pushing through from the Blues of which he's had plenty of, I'm sure.
Loved every minute.
What a blues, man! This guy knows the trade!
What a fresh blues! Blues as it should be!
‘Love it ! 😉 This has to be the best buskin’ guitar on UA-cam. Thanks SO MUCH for cheering up my day ! Northern Ontario 🇨🇦 Canada
This man doesn't just play the music, he lives it.
Love to know his history.
Nice 👍 Playing, Mark! Like your phasing and vibrato! Keep playing the Blues!!!
Absolutely awesome!
Great to hear those fabulous guitar tones Mark. The "jam" with the Hare Krishna group was an added bonus. Looked like the enjoyed it too. Cheers from Brisbane Australia
Hi and thank you for your kind words.
I always try to join in when I hear the Krishnas are getting near me .🙂
I wish I knew what he has forgotten on guitar, soooooo smoooooth..........
Im amazed at the clean sound/mix for being outside. Proof you dont need a Fender named Strat kids, to play some boogie woogie Blues. Sweet.
That's a Blade. I played a couple in the early 90s, magnificent super-strats and they make a mean J-bass.
Blade strats are actually very good guitars
The guitar is in pretty good shape. And he knows how to use it. 🙂
a beautiful strat! excellent play with feeling and fine nuances!
It’s not a Fender.
Very nice … every note counts .
This guy is really good with this blues rhythm....Great Job!!!!
WONDERFULL,Beautifully played.
yay - good to see (most of) you back!
Thanks !
Really nice playing, very tasteful!🤘😎🤘🎸

Very nice work Mark - great tool for it too!! Levinson Blade R3! Love my '89 version.
I prefer that players make their own versions. Well done! And it's you. Cheers for that, Brah!!
Bring it on home boy, you true got the blues.
Cool man really good swingn'blues
Talent at it's greatest ! I can feel the vibes...foot tapping ...
love to meet this gentle man one day !!

great! and lovely greetings from a german guitarist, I have been playing the same guitar for 40 years, only in blue.........
Mark Allen's guitar style makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up! :)
Awesome! 🙂 A little nod to the Quo there around 4 minutes, & the child dancing in the pram shortly after that, Class! 👏👏😎
Awesome. What the hell is the matter with all the passers by??????? You’re listening to this guy treat you….. tip the man!!!!!!!!!
I really dig this. Hints of Stevie Ray Vaughn. Hello Mark Allen, from Dallas, Texas!

Mastery on the guitar if it was anyone famous you'd be queueing to see him , he must have been to the crossroads and signed on the dotted line 😊
Excellent, simple raw blues!
