In my opinion both are necessary and relevant to the present world and will still be relevant in future
The purpose of both are now more clear then before.
To earn money and for a living people must learn modern skills; and to do researches and innovations and inventions one must avail education.
This is my opinion and I could be wrong.
Dear Sir,
The purpose of technology is to bring efficiency, productivity, reduction in human errors, collect data and compile them in shortest possible time.
But all these things like AI based revolutions have been based to increase services and production only for HUMANs.
Then who will buy or imbide these high-tech if HUMANs are deprived. Who reap fruits. Who will enjoy. Only few ultra wealthy class? But I think their survival depends on common HUMANs

As far as no one can predict the future 100%, but we must need to do the followings...
a) Have faith in ALLAH Pak.
b) Keep updating yourself in your profession.
c) Or open your mind to do or start something new things and turn your ideas into reality.
Last but not least, Job is not the only solution. The one can do something else (Just think and do out of the box)...
I am shocked to see that people are talking about AI replacing humans or causing job losses, especially from those who know nothing about AI. As an AI Engineer, I understand how AI works and its real capabilities. The way some present AI is often exaggerated, driven by the desire to raise funding or capitalize on the buzzword

However, as the advent of AI and technology i was getting older and i used to give it a thought that what will be the job market after technological revolution as i am I.T student too, well, then i came to the understanding that Government permanent jobs will remain forever.

Well said Sir! As an IT consultant of 25years experience in UK it is clear to me that the only safe way to progress in IT is to follow the Artificial Intelligence route. We need to understand how best we can benefit from AI. AI is, and will infiltrate ALL our lives. So adoption of AI should be like learning to drive! You can do many jobs once you have learned to drive BUT don't have to know how the engine works! Same with AI, you won't need to know how AI models work, we just need to be savy (forward thinking) as entrepreneurs as to how we can best exploit it.
Don't delay, claimb onto the band wagon NOW!

MIT lab director wrote a book back in 1998. It was one of the best books I read. The name of the book is “When things start to think!” This is where they talked about computing technology shifting towards variables, Jus as we have progressed from big main frames to desktop to laptop and in our palms, and Apple vision glasses the next phase is going to be more integrated into our bodies where computing is going to be effortless and embedded into our sensory systems.

Very thought provoking discussion. Being an computer science professional، even majority of us has become user of technology . For example machine learning algorithm are already developed, you only train a suitable model with your data and the model start predicting future patterns. In my opinion human intervention will remain there in majority of jobs, but the productivity expectation from human will be high, as they have support of AI tools to perform their duties.

I am in Boston USA . I wonder if there will be cap or hold on IA . So we don’t lose jobs because it effects economy of country. How will we be earning . I sm 60 and soon getting SSI. I basically don’t care too much . But wonder what will happen to our kids our next generation. 😢. Will everyone driving Uber or Saloon or even those have replacements. I was working in mutual funds . What I did 20 years ago is now done by computer . Matching cash and debit plus sending wires . Now no wire . Electronic transfer😂. World can’t run without work . Now they got to create jobs in some industry so people are employed. Unemployment bad for the economy. My conclusion ( human intervention) to create jobs .
