apologies for the delay, this vid was recorded with commentary but I couldn't for the life of me find it ANYWHERE, and I do keep all my audio projects organised so I really have no idea what happened to it. I even tried summing it down to the dates of when it was recorded only to no avail, but at least those that prefer vids without commentary will hopefully enjoy this a little better, even if a bit lengthy.

Actually, compared to ctr, this is a mighty respectful game for a game that has the working title of CTR2
Mason Derulo yeah but there’s a reason this was called crash team racing 2 before it was officially dubbed as crash nitro kart. Thing is they have everything a sequel should have that builds off a predecessors formula ie nitrous oxide - emperor velo
It just took place after a single game rather a trilogy this time for the next gen
But even with that all said, while I don’t view nitro kart to be rushed, to call it an inferior game to ctr is a big disservice to what it did get right, cause it got far more right than it did wrong, people just don’t like change and are too used to CTR. To even say this game is okay would be an understatement when you really break down the things it gets right. Is it a perfect game? Hell no. No game is perfect. Is CTR better than CNK? Depends who played what first. It’s the first that’s usually chosen because of nostalgia-blind clowns. I played CTTR before CNK and CTR and yet I still can look back at the game and respect it for trying something different by trying to merge the performing gameplay with a non-drifting take on the racing gameplay. Bold but respectable! But I still won’t favour it higher than CNK and CTR just cause I have fond memories of it.
All that said tag team has the merging mechanic to the racing which would’ve been grand to see in nitro fuelled with the CTR and CNK esque mechanics and physics. Would be cool to see it return.
