Hi John, I use a copper underbody on a lot of my flies. If I might make a suggestion? Start your copper wire with 2-3 tight wraps and apply a touch of superglue to the wraps and add a light brush of glue on the hook shank. By the time you put the cap back on the glue bottle the starting wraps will be anchored solidly allowing you to make tight wraps up the shank through the still wet glue. At the end of the first pass hesitate a couple of seconds for the CA to set and wrap the second layer of copper wire. Done this way, the first layer of wire doesn't move/shift and the second layer wraps smoothly. Optionally, a second application of CA locks all of the copper wire to the hook shank. If you "nick" the copper wire with an Exacto knife you can break it off real close to the hook shank with minimum wiggling. The Sawyers Killer Bugs are awesome producers! Cheers, Hank
I sincerely wish you would have continued working on your channel. I'm a hypocrite to say as muich since its almost been a year since I uploaded a video, that said I havent given up, life just crushed my head a bit. I do wish you had more videos. I'd like it if you'd go through a stack of flies that would catch white fish.
I like the original Frank Sawyer Killer Bug fly. I hand whip and glue my flies; have you had any problems with your fly unraveling due to your glued wire?

I have never made flies heavy with wire like that will give that go I like that fly...

Always best to use a ceramic bobbin holder. But best fly in world a lot of rivers banned it, cos of its effectiveness.
