  • In this video I will be demonstrating my new bully sod lifting tool. Keep in mind I am a senior as I believe a younger man I expect would have a much easier time with it. This is an unsponsored review as I purchased this tool with my own money.

jeez - glad I watched - this seems harder than just using a square shovel and cutting a grid of squares and lifting. I just wish the manual kick sod cutters weren't $350. I could do like $80.

I am an old man. I made it look a lot harder than it was

Minden Exactly 350.00 too much. Wish someone would some how put small motor and still not cost so much like electric tillers. 😄They cost less than 175.00.

I think kick sod cutters are up to $600 plus now, insane, looks like a $200 tool at best

I'm exhausted just watching him do 20 seconds worth and I'm a landscaper

May landscaper has a manual sod lifting tool and the way she uses it she slices sheets of sod like butter. It’’s not nearly as hard as you’re making it seem.

@rmstark1966 was a very bad attempt. I made it look much too difficult. LOL

Thanks for the comment. Its a nice tool for a small area. I am sure a younger man would do much better with it. Thanks John, for watching my channel.

I don’t know if it was really hard or if bro just made it look really hard.

LOL, It most certainly is a young man's tool. I was 67 at the time and made it look a lot more difficult than it needed to be.

THAT is not how to use a turfing iron. Way back in the 50s I used to watch the old boys use an iron. They would cut hundreds of 3' by 1' turves per day. They had muscles like superman, made it look so easy. This guy is working back to front, you slide the blade under the open edge. slowly working your way along in a rhythm, your knee giving extra pressure behind the hand on the handle.

LOL Tell me about it. That was my first time using it. I know I made it look a lot more difficult than it needed to be and I was totally exhausted afterward. Thanks for the advice but I don't think I am ever going to touch that dam tool again. It is destine for my next yard sale LOL. Thanks for watching.

Are you using a half moon edger as a sod cutter?

LOL, IT sort of looks like one. It is slightly bent for lifting sod. It most certainly is a young man's tool. I was 67 at the time and made it look a lot more difficult than it needed to be.

Thanks Vittu; Please by all means could you let me know what I was doing wrong? It seemed like I was working a lot harder than expected. Thanks for watching

Your comment did nothing to remedy the situation. It was pointless

LOL, thank you so much. I never thought of that, that would have made it way too easy. You know, I purchase that tool, it was a poor attempt at using it and I never touched it again. With your suggestion I might try to give it another go.

Yes or do it after it rains .. the trick is to do it when moist but not to wet or it's a mess- good work

lol, I agree I made it look a lot more difficult than it needed to be. I am 71 as it is most certainly young man's tool.
