The footage of you and Johnno sitting on the ledge sharing the pizza … through the scaffolding and magnificent sunset! Gold. Forever made with love memories. Thanks for sharing with us.
Omg this turned out amazing!!! Love the colors and all of that stunning outdoor furniture! 😍 Your arms must have been killing after all that painting! Can’t wait to see the next episode!
Love love love the production! Plus your set up 7:56 while presenting the finishes looks so pretty (a vid for another day maybe 😉). Props to both of you for having the energy to film while working on the house, might've been exhausting
Love how you renovated a quintessential coastal shack with a sophisticated update whilst considerate to keeping the essence and personality of the Aussie coastal shack vibe. Looks fabulous! 🤩☀️🌊🏄♂️
I love the new decks, gonna steal some ideas for our Southern California backyard. Nope, no decks, but I can always tweak,, right? I’m gonna practice my Aussie accent! Maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to share it with you in person!❤️❗️
Cape A Cape for Lucy . WOW you guys are the best. Blown away with what you have done. Bravo Bravo . I am so impressed with the finishes , furnishings and OMG everything. Dusty needs much more onscreen time . Get her an Agent. Love Love what you are doing . P.S. your vids are so Dam Funny.
Perfect timing for me, as I told you before, Lucy, I’m starting my own reno! I watched the whole thing, I even let the ads go through in full 😹. It’s a great result for the exterior, I loved it and I can’t wait to see the rest, it’s actually a great idea to see how you’re renovating space by space. Also, having Dusty the site manager eating rocks was my fave 😂. Lastly it’s great to see Jonno in action! This reno series is looking awesome so far! Thanks!
Love it. Great design as always. Also - smart that you‘re approaching this in stages but invested in planning right in the beginning. Can‘t wait to see the inside!
Hooked on the Reno's, can't wait till next Thursday. Loving the new addition Rusty 🐕🐾 We really wanted the Ironbark decking colour, shame we can't get it in Northern Ireland :-(
I wish you had a Reno Goals UA-cam channel! I would love to follow your renovations more in depth! Make more videos of each project, You don’t have to start and finish a project in the same episode.
All the PVC products we looked into didn’t have a high enough BAL rating for the fire rating zone this house is in. Fibre cement does meet BAL29 and is a very durable product and with the prep and paint we did it won’t need another paint job for a very very long time. ⚡️
its a great vid although the music is mastered at 3x the volume which is distracting. for learning more about insulation i recommend reading up on building science.
I love what Lucy does. But every time I watch any of the videos, the sound just bugs my husband so much. He is a sound engineer and has good ears. If the video go through a basic normalisation for the loudness, it will be so much better. At the moment, the different sound levels and various loudness in different clips are quite distracting…
We had most of it removed. But will replace the last couple of sections that are easy later when we have time to replace the remainder of the timber weatherboards.
@@Huntingforgeorge Thanks for your reply. Love your videos by the way. Just curious is there any reason you don’t show it or mention asbestos being removed? Just from the point of view of people watching it and wanting to renovate their house but don’t know the dangers. Thanks!
As I am watching all I am thinking is snakes, spiders, human eating birds, tropical polar bears and forest sharks 🦈, since I was a little kid I have love Australia but I cannot deal with everything trying to eat you or kill you just for fun, The other day I saw a video of a koala trying to eat a Little kid, Australia I will love you from far away.
None of that is an actual reality for those of us that live here. 541 people were killed by animals between 2001 - 2017 in Australia and most of those were from horses and cows. But in 2020 45,222 American's were killed by guns.
@@melanieholmes5022 Oh Melanie! I think you took my comment a little bit too seriously, I don’t know if you noticed that some of the things I said do not exist, that could have been a clue of my sarcasm but yes it is true that I am scared of going to Australia because they are spiders, snakes, jellyfish, sharks and all the other things that wants to kill you and that is a personal thing because I know that all of that is under control and people are not dying every day from it and I don’t care how many people die in America by guns because this is not an statistics competition, I was half joking because the truth is that I will be paranoid if I go to the beautiful Australia.
I just always find it funny how scared people are of our little and not so little creepy crawlies. And love how tiny the actual figures of people being killed by them are. We do have a mouse spider, supposedly quite venomous, I saw one for the first time recently, it was a male and the craziest red and blue/black colour.

Get that woman a paint roller my goodness
HUNTING FOR GEORGE IS BACKKKKKKKKKKKK
🙌🙌🙌
Love it!
Question: will you also be renovating the house you bought a few more than back?
Yep! That’s the next project!
Looks amazing.
Am surprised you didn't use PVC fascia boards though. You'll need to hire scaffolding next time they need painting.
All the PVC products we looked into didn’t have a high enough BAL rating for the fire rating zone this house is in. Fibre cement does meet BAL29 and is a very durable product and with the prep and paint we did it won’t need another paint job for a very very long time. ⚡️

omg soo siiick, can't wait for the next episode. Did you guys buy the place? or is it still in the family for everyone to use?
This will always stay in the family! ⚡️
Looks fabous! What did you put around the bottom of deck? Is it corrugated iron?
Yes same as the lower cladding on the extension.
Beautiful. Can I ask is your outdoor decking fibreglass Hardie from Bunnings so you don't have to keep recoating each year to seal for weather?
The decking is timber, we will probably just let it grey off over time.
I’m Canadian. Someone tell me what that cookie cake thing Lucy was eating at the end!
😂 It’s a Lamington! It’s an Aussie thing…
😍😍😍
🙌🙌🙌
Just... Muaks 😘💕
What’s happening with the timber cabin project you guys brought? 🥰
Working on that next.

Was the cladding on the top half of the house asbestos and did you get it removed or just painted it?
We had most of it removed. But will replace the last couple of sections that are easy later when we have time to replace the remainder of the timber weatherboards.

Five bathrooms seems excessive for a cottage no?
Five bedrooms too.
