Idk y but you have ahgase vibes on you, I feel like you love GOT7 too. I just want to say you're so good in names!! It's your first time reacting to them and you can put names at faces right away. I know the names in the captions and their faces being so distinct with each other helped but I just like to praise you on that because most of reactors I watch aren't good with names. 😅 Anyways to formally introduce, ALAMAT is a 6-member idol boy group from the Philippines. Its members comprise of Taneo, Mo, Jao, Tomas, R-ji, and Alas. They debuted in 2021, and their creative direction centers on championing the Filipino identity and culture through their music. They sing in different Filipino languages too. You'll get to see a lot of cultural/ethnical references from them be it in sounds from the instruments they use, choreographies, and clothing they wear. The string instrument they used in Day and Night is Kudyapi, a Philippine two-stringed, fretted boat-lute. Oh and footworks are really USED in different ethnic dances maybe that's why you can see a lot of footworks when Alamat dances. I do agree tho when you said some dance with different energy than others. They have different styles in dancing but one thing about Alamat members, they are always open for constructive criticism because it's for the betterment of their skills. They are listening to us and they are improving day by day. Alamat has two main dancers Jao, the one in pink hair and Taneo in blue shirt with necktie (Taneo is the leader too!). Jao choreographed Day and Night! They usually help in choreography but especially for the songs the members wrote. Jao and Taneo choreographed Gayuma, I recommend watching the MV. Gosh this is so long 😭😭 I'm sorry I just love yapping about Alamat. Bare with me tho cuz I'm not even finished, I'll yap on Say U Love Me and Manila Dreams on another comment. 😂
I adored this comment so much that I pinned it! You are right; I absolutely love GOT7 as I grew up listening them from before they formed (like back in JJ Project days). I love how much you love ALAMAT. Your comment is full of adoration and appreciation for them and I can see how much influence and impact they've had on their fans through this. It just makes me want to listen to more of their music and see their mvs. This was such an honest and cohesive breakdown of the group and I appreciate how much time you spent just writing this! Thank you as well for your comment on the names; I always feel a bit guilty when I can't remember them even though I am very new to them lol. I have also read your other comment too! You are truly a gem. 💖💖
Manila Dreams pre-chorus is just so beautiful. "It's paradise here, even at night it's glorious. There are also days when it's hell, but I will still go, I will still gamble my way to Manila". This is so significant because none of them are from the capital Manila, they are from different regions of the Philippines (which they represent), and they indeed reached their dreams in Manila. There's a a beautiful line towards the final chorus 39:26 "Your light is burning, flaming, like a fire. Flying by around like firefly...but I hope I won't get ravaged by the flames." They were also doing verses in their own languages. Such a special song.
For me it's not the usual break up song more like an in denial song where they don't believe their lover don't love them anymore but also craves for assurance like "say you love me, say you need me". Mannequin is to represent that their lover don't feel the same anymore. The hip thrust or what we call "kaldag" is a thing here in the PH. When you see Filipino dancers in tiktok, you'll most likely see kaldags in choreo. It's like twerking in US or west is what kaldag here in PH. Filipinos love to kaldag to sad songs too it's like "kaldag your sadness away". You can say the same for SULM but also it's like they use kaldag as seduction for you to go back to them. 😂 The ones who sing the low notes are the main dancers Jao and Taneo. Kudos to them because it's especially hard to sing low notes while dancing. Oh yeah the one you heard in SULM is probably Taneo. What I love about their performance for SULM or even in the studio ver, you can hear/feel the different emotions as the song progresses. From in denial/not believing the rumors of their lover cheating to begging to anger and finally they're done with them. Manila Dreams is about leaving your home to bet on your dreams in different place. For them it's the metro of Manila, the capital of ph. It hits different when you know that every member is from different provinces in ph. As I said in my other comment, Alamat is multilingual singers. In Manila Dreams they sang in their own regional languages. It's very fitting because all of them left their hometown to pursue their dreams in music. Alamat members were picked and formed in 2020. They trained for less than a year and finally debuted on Feb 2021. They started as 9-member group but now they're 6 members because the other 3 left for different and personal reasons. Tho they trained for a short time, they are continuously in training til now. They have weekly dance workshops and vocal lessons. The Ricky and Morty tattoo is real. Most of the tattoos you see in music videos are real except for the one in Gayuma MV (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it 🫣). My bias line is Mo, Jao and Taneo and my favorite songs from them are Gayuma, Dayang and Day and Night. I recommend Alamat's most popular song Maharani. Please check out Aswang and Gayuma too. If you'd like to check how good of a rapper they are, watch Dagundong and Kasmala. I also recommend ILY ILY which I like to call Ph's Bohemian Rhapsody. I hope you read my yap, hahaha. Thank you for supporting Alamat. Hope there's a lot of videos to come!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
7:00 it's most likely the Bandurria, a Spanish colonial period musical instrument which we adapted, tweaked and changed the tone and number of strings. It's mostly used for folk dances and traditional music. Not sure if you notice it yet, Alamat uses themes, visuals, and instruments that are Filipino. Forwarding Filipino culture is their creative direction. You'll love the bandurria in theor song Walang Hanggan!!!
I so so so love your reactions - so detailed! same same feels about them esp their vocals which is diverse 😊 Looking forward to more Alamat RVs from you. If you can react next to Maharani, Gayuma and Dayang 😊 Thank you! More power to you channel (sunscribed btw😊)
Thank you so much for this kind comment! I really love discovering new music and groups and ALAMAT did not disappoint! Thank you for the song recommendations as they will be in my part 2 for ALAMAT! And thank you for subscribing! 💖💖
My Biases are Mojito - Mo, Rji & Tomas. I have a lot of favourites, Manila dreams, Kasmala, Maharani, Day and Night and many more. I cannot pick just one song because they're all bangers.
Welcome to Ppop. Feel free to explore. Where their live performances are always better than their music videos and studio recorded songs. Also covering all sorts of genres is just a walk in the park.
I was pleasantly surprised! I do think their live performance I saw was better than the music video as I got to really focus on the song alone and their voices (I think the music video was a bonus lol). It's a lovely experience and I can't wait to make a part 2
Girrll, you are so00 gorgeous! Gap-toothed beauties are A++++ Hope you get to react to ALAMAT's PPopCon medley! The one where they are wearing an all-white ensemble. They each have their moments! You need to see them perform their songs live!
Hi new subscriber here, thank you for reacting ALAMAT boy group from the Philippines, they're talented and versatile. Thank you for your support. I'm glad you enjoyed their music 😊
Ma'am your vibes is just so joyful and genuinely appreciative. I enjoyed watching you enjoy our Alamat's visuals and vocals. Also, dont even play, i know you're gonna bias Mo. I guess Tomas is also a contender but nah, you keep smiling and giggling everytime Mo's on screen singing. I couldn't stop smiling when you keep praising Day and Night's choreo and transitions. My baby Jao did that, our dancing fairy who always dances like rent is due. And Taneo too. Also same thoughts with Say U Love Me, the song is so so pretty; the MV tho 😂 is a tad too much for my eyes and my heart. I recommend Aswang and Gayuma next. They're gfs you should watch them together 😊 i never got out of the chokehold those songs had on me. We love harmonies here in Ppop. You have a wonderful day too and I hope you enjoy exploring our music 🫶🏼
Pls react to more ALAMAT songs like Maharani, Aswang, and Gayuma. Those songs are really good and it somewhat showcase some of the iconic urban legends in the Philippines. They also incorporate to their songs the different dialects that different filipinos use. That is why their name group "ALAMAT' translates to "Legend". And they are a PPOP group that gives more dedication to promote the Filipino Culture. 😍🤩😍🤩
There will be a part 2 of ALAMAT songs so don't worry! Thank you for the song recommendations and giving me more insight into the group. I respect them so much and appreciate their artistry and that they promote Filipino culture. It's a beautiful thing to see! 💖💖
My all time favorite is Hala, it's a diss track but you can't feel an ounce of negativity, they even invite you to join them instead of bashing them. The musical concept is of Filipino street dance festival. The musical production is a roller coaster. Puts you in a good mood instantly.
Lately i been listening to other PPOP groups! I've only heard a few Alamat songs. maybe around 4 songs i've listened to already. And i love their vocals! they've got that r&b soul to the way they hit the notes! it's so great on the ears! I think this is my 4th PPOP group i've started listening to - SB19, BINI, G22, Alamat! Please check out SB19! they're the ones who put ppop on the map and they've defined what ppop is as they're the ones who've set the benchmark on what it is. So i hope you check out the ppop kings soon! i just did a search and looks like i don't see any sb19 in yo list yet! If you will, check out ther First Take - Mapa, and then Gento. and then ALL OF THEIR SONGS 🤣🤣 actually...since we're on that R&B ...... check out I Want You! They brought back the 90s/early 00s R&B.!!!
If you like Mo, he composed and wrote "Gayuma" (Love Potion/enchantment) and the music video is straight FIRE. and their live Wish Bus performance has an extra rap verse that Mo included as an exclusive. The dance was choreographed by Jao and Taneo. You should also try "Maharani" (Great Queen) which is an R&B song and the MV features BINI Jhoanna!! If you like a crazy choreo tho??? "Aswang" (Monster/Ghoul) is a spooky romance pop song that goes HARD. And the dance practice video? OOOO??? But my favorite is Kasmala, and the music video is about racial discrimination that Filipino immigrants faced in America, and has a lot of historical references, like how they displayed our indigenous people in a human zoo in St. Louis World's Fair 1904 etc. The same indigenous group that Alamat Taneo comes from/shares ancestral background with.
my fave is Jao bcs he’s so funny and sassy. The songs I liked from them are the following: ABKD, Walang Hanggan (Forevermore) and basically all their other songs hhahaha they have such a no-skip discography so have fun with them!
You should check out their whole discography tbh.. Here would be best though Maharani (Great Queen), make sure to watch the mv with subtitles... Dagundong, Dayang, Gayuma (mo co produced it) noli (mo and other members wrote and they produced it themselves) , aswang, abkd and kbye (debut song, with former members) If you like ballads make sure to check sa panaginip nalang and walang hanggan it's like a sequel Lastly probably their most unique one Ily Ily It'll be best to watch always with English subtitles if it's available because they're actually singing multiple languages on their songs to represent where are they from here in Philippines and sometimes just to really showcase how diverse they are and our languages. Alamat is probably the best ppop group out there who from the very start and way before showcase our culture in everything they do. They were formed for it. That's why they really incorporate our folk music, indigenous dances, traditional clothings and more to represent us Filipinos. Hope you'll dive more into them
Thank you for these recommendations. I will have a part 2 and maybe a part 3 as well. I appreciate everyone for these comments telling me more about ALAMAT as a whole and it gives me more insight and a deeper appreciation for them.
TBH, compared to other groups, Alamat is not strong on coreo and dance, and they should work hard for it. The diversity of their voices and their unique concept of what makes them stand out. Check every WishBush live performance of them.
Agreed, i'm a big fan of them but di talaga pare pareho yung galaw ng bawat isa kahit sabay sabay sila like may sariling mundo talaga isa't isa hahaha.
@@erlzn183that's what makes them unique though and what makes me like them actually😅. They're still showing their diversity in dancing, so definitely, it just depends on our preferences.🤎
Since you have a background in music, ILY ILY is their most musically complex one I feel. It's multi-genre though!! You might actually like it! (Topic is abou Filipino children who get separated from their parents who migrate to work overseas.) Sa Panaginip na Lang (only in dreams) is a romance ballad that is their best vocal showcase. I recommend you look for the raw live vocals from this show called "Dee's Room" that they did, just sitting around in a slumber party in pajamas passing around a microphone.
Now I get why the amount of hip thrusts and chests is off the roof in Say U Love Me... It's to get the girl back!!! 😂Also, I thought I was over him, but I'm falling back in love with MO again 😭😭😭
"Maharani" is my fav, next is "Aswang" for the ones with videos already; if you're gonna watch "Aswang", watch it at night 😉 AJ of G22 is in their "Gayuma"
Thank you for reacting to Alamat. Just to let you know Jao, the pink haired member choreograph "Day & Night"🤩 Also the one singing that baritone in Say U love me in the beginning is Taneo. Two members are responsible for low notes. It's Jao and Taneo
About the "BIAS" thing hahaha as a long time Magiliw (ALAMAT's fans) its hard to have a bias in this group. Thats why I just decided to be an OT6, stuck in the Brgy. Hall happily😅 (Brgy hall is like a house for those who doesn't have biases or basically the purok hoppers since alamat has 6 puroks. (Some purok numbers are for the former members 4-Kin, 7-Valfer, 8-Gami) Purok 1-Taneo, Purok 2- Mo, Purok 3-Jao, Purok 5-Tomas, Purok 6-Rji Purok 9- Alas This is because their group is culturally incline, as you hear or see on their music (both words and instruments), fashion and MV concepts. That's why the fans choose what we use in our country to where we reside (the Barangay & Purok). They also sing in different Filipino languages (English, Tagalog, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Bicolano, Waray, Bisaya and others) which are spoken by each members since they are from the different regions of the Philippines. On a serious side, their group really want to showcase the Filipino culture in their craft and educate it most especially for the new generation of Filipinos who seems to not learn or know about it anymore. I recommend you watch their 'Concept Teaser' or the Alamat ng Alamat videos that will introduce you to them. I hope you'll react for more ALAMAT Music videos. I honestly think their group deserves more love. By the way, I think I can say it now -Welcome to Brgy Magiliw😊🤎. I hope to see more reactions from you.
I can understand choosing to be OT6 as you love each member dearly and can't pick! There are a few groups that I also just love all the members a bunch! Thank you for giving me so much information about ALAMAT! It really helps me understand them both musically and as a group! I'm in awe that they sing in different Filipino languages and incorporate their culture!
my fave is Jao bcs he’s so funny and sassy. The songs I liked from them are the following: ABKD, Walang Hanggan (Forevermore) and basically all their other songs hhahaha they have such a no-skip discography so have fun with them!

OMG!!! Hi, I’m an Ahgase and a Magiliw. I get you, too!!!
I just said yesterday that SB19 is the BTS and Alamat is the GOT7 of Ppop, idk whyyy 🥹
If say you love me made you 😱 then follow it up with their Aswang and Gayuma MV 😂
I've added these to my queue! We will definitely have a part 2 coming sooN! 💖
7:05 That's a kudyapi, two-stringed lute from Mindanao :) Beautiful instrument. It has a nice iconic reverby sound
Manila Dreams pre-chorus is just so beautiful. "It's paradise here, even at night it's glorious. There are also days when it's hell, but I will still go, I will still gamble my way to Manila".

I'm so glad that you found them!!! This is my favorite group and they have some of the best songs in PPop.

The hip thrust or what we call "kaldag" is a thing here in the PH. When you see Filipino dancers in tiktok, you'll most likely see kaldags in choreo. You can say the same for SULM but also it's like they use kaldag as seduction for you to go back to them. 😂

I hope you read my yap, hahaha. Thank you for supporting Alamat. Hope there's a lot of videos to come!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I would recommend next "Maharani" and "Dagundong" by Alamat. Jhoanna from Bini is there in "Maharani" MV 😊
You had me at the mention of Jhoanna- this will be in my part 2! 💖
do you know what’s better? their Wish Bus Performances. it’s crazy how they sound better than the record.
Please listen to and watch these ALAMAT songs/MVs next:
- Maharani
- Gayuma
- Aswang
- Dayang
There are also Wish Bus performances of Gayuma and Dayang.
I will more than likely have a part 2 and part 3 for ALAMAT so some of these will be in part 2
I so so so love your reactions - so detailed! same same feels about them esp their vocals which is diverse 😊
Looking forward to more Alamat RVs from you.
If you can react next to Maharani, Gayuma and Dayang 😊
Thank you! More power to you channel (sunscribed btw😊)
Thank you so much for this kind comment! I really love discovering new music and groups and ALAMAT did not disappoint! Thank you for the song recommendations as they will be in my part 2 for ALAMAT! And thank you for subscribing! 💖💖

Harmonizing is very common in P-pop. ❤
I am a massive fan of harmonizing and adlibs and it is so lovely.
thank u for the reaction! BINI Jhoanna is feautured in Alamat's Maharani as the leading lady!
You're welcome! OMG I will be checking it out soon!!
TOMAS and MO are my biases on vocals
My Biases are Mojito - Mo, Rji & Tomas. I have a lot of favourites, Manila dreams, Kasmala, Maharani, Day and Night and many more. I cannot pick just one song because they're all bangers.
I'm the one who keeps commenting on you before about ALAMAT huhu i knew u gonna love them.
I appreciate it! 💖💖
Oh and watch the Live at Viva Cafe fet. Alamat - Maharani too! That one has Tomas playing flute. Really sick
1:12 you accidentally sang that perfect falsetto humming with them 🤩

Looking forward to your RV of Aswang, Gayuma, Porque, and Day& Night 😍😍😍😍

Gayuma and Noli is wrote by Mo with others
Hi new subscriber here, thank you for reacting ALAMAT boy group from the Philippines, they're talented and versatile. Thank you for your support. I'm glad you enjoyed their music 😊
My bias is bestie Jao with the gold mic, and he choreographed Day and Night 😁
Thanks for supporting ALAMAT. Hope you'd react to their "Ngayong Gabi" Coke Studio mv next... please :)
What makes PPOP unique from the others Neighboring Countries' POP is the harmonization
Their songs incorporate a lot of native instruments in them.
It's one of my favorite aspects! 💖
I also suggest to check on dayang and maharani these two songs are my fave from them because of the rnb feel of it
I'm finalizing the songs that will be in my part 2 but now I may have 4 songs since I love rnb lol 💖
Girl I recommend you to check out sa panaginip nalang MV and maharani MV
Pls react to more ALAMAT songs like Maharani, Aswang, and Gayuma. Those songs are really good and it somewhat showcase some of the iconic urban legends in the Philippines. Maharani, Aswang, Gayuma 🙏🏼💫
GAYUMA, ASWANG, DAYANG, DAGUNDONG, and MAHARANI next please
Personally, this is one ppop bg that has a nice discography. Every song of theirs is a bop
Yes thats a rick and morty tattoo of Alas. Pls react to Gayuma next 😊
Please react to their song Dayang and Dagundong. They also have a collaboration with The Juans on a song called Gupit.
Aswang/maharani/gayuma next plss
These will be added to my queue! I think I will have a part 2 and 3 for ALAMAT!
My all time favorite is Hala, it's a diss track but you can't feel an ounce of negativity, they even invite you to join them instead of bashing them. The musical concept is of Filipino street dance festival. The musical production is a roller coaster. Puts you in a good mood instantly.
ALAMAT is the unofficial PPOP RNB KINGS in PH and soon more Filos will realize that they deserve that title 🥰😘
17:40 guurrrlll!!!! Watch Gayuma and Aswang! Hahahaha

Maharani for Master Jho!! Hahaha
Watch Maharani! BINI's Jhoanna is on that music video as well
This will be in my part 2 video!
Mo is mixed, but i haven't finished watching so i don't know if you realize it eventually lol
@@huhjanus I could tell when I saw his hair ☺️💖
my fave is Jao bcs he’s so funny and sassy. The songs I liked from them are the following: ABKD, Walang Hanggan (Forevermore) and basically all their other songs hhahaha they have such a no-skip discography so have fun with them!
He is so much fun! I will add these to my watchlist as I really miss reacting to ALAMAT and it has been a while!
You should check out their whole discography tbh..
Here would be best though
Maharani (Great Queen), make sure to watch the mv with subtitles... Dagundong, Dayang, Gayuma (mo co produced it) noli (mo and other members wrote and they produced it themselves) , aswang, abkd and kbye (debut song, with former members)
If you like ballads make sure to check sa panaginip nalang and walang hanggan it's like a sequel
Lastly probably their most unique one Ily Ily
It'll be best to watch always with English subtitles if it's available because they're actually singing multiple languages on their songs to represent where are they from here in Philippines and sometimes just to really showcase how diverse they are and our languages.
Alamat is probably the best ppop group out there who from the very start and way before showcase our culture in everything they do. They were formed for it. That's why they really incorporate our folk music, indigenous dances, traditional clothings and more to represent us Filipinos.
Hope you'll dive more into them
+all of their wishbus live too
Thank you for these recommendations. I will have a part 2 and maybe a part 3 as well. I appreciate everyone for these comments telling me more about ALAMAT as a whole and it gives me more insight and a deeper appreciation for them.
More ALAMAT Q
I love ot6, but I'm now in Purok Tres(3) - Jao stan
Perfection in indeferences
Yan din naiisip ko na parang need nila improve but I love them because their musics are so good. SB19, BINI, and alamat ang top 3 PPOP for me
ALAMAT'S "Aswang" and "Gayuma" MVs
Since you have a background in music, ILY ILY is their most musically complex one I feel. It's multi-genre though!! You might actually like it! (Topic is abou Filipino children who get separated from their parents who migrate to work overseas.)
Sa Panaginip na Lang (only in dreams) is a romance ballad that is their best vocal showcase. I recommend you look for the raw live vocals from this show called "Dee's Room" that they did, just sitting around in a slumber party in pajamas passing around a microphone.
i’m subscribing now bec of ALAM🫶🏼T
This means so much to me, thank you! 💖💖
Gayuma MV featured AJ(G22 leader) is good like SAY U LOVE ME
Aswang +gayuma +dayang Next
Jao choreograp day n night
Now I get why the amount of hip thrusts and chests is off the roof in Say U Love Me... It's to get the girl back!!! 😂Also, I thought I was over him, but I'm falling back in love with MO again 😭😭😭
"Maharani" is my fav, next is "Aswang" for the ones with videos already; if you're gonna watch "Aswang", watch it at night 😉
AJ of G22 is in their "Gayuma"
Thank you for reacting to Alamat. Just to let you know Jao, the pink haired member choreograph "Day & Night"🤩
Also the one singing that baritone in Say U love me in the beginning is Taneo. Two members are responsible for low notes. It's Jao and Taneo
Thank you for this!! I really think they are so, so talented! Those low notes were absolutely amazing!
I WAS EXPECTING GAYUMA MV WHAHAHAHAHAHA!
(Some purok numbers are for the former members 4-Kin, 7-Valfer, 8-Gami)
Purok 1-Taneo,
Purok 2- Mo,
Purok 3-Jao,
Purok 5-Tomas,
Purok 6-Rji
Purok 9- Alas
This is because their group is culturally incline, as you hear or see on their music (both words and instruments), fashion and MV concepts.
