@Wyatt Puffs No, the old was soooo better than this terrible chapter 2. Trust me, better graphic, better guns, friendly Players. Competitive would not exist, It ruined the meta and the Players.
Wyatt Puffs Competition is not that fun lol. It’s more satisfying to take out loads of people like a badass.
Wyatt Puffs I understand that but just think of all that building you have to do just to get 1 kill. The only satisfaction that you’re gaining from that is earning a kill by working for it. I understand that some people like that but you can also understand why we like to dominate a majority of a lot of people rather than tell us to go to a different game. Lets agree to respect each others opinion since that’s what it is.

The sounds! I swear that's what makes the nostalgia the most impactful. So many sounds sounded much different than they do today. Listen how a door and chest opens, how guns sounds, how kills sound, how steps and pickaxes sound, and the builds! How they sound forming. The storm noises sound different too. I swear they play a huge role in the enjoyment of this game, which I find rare these days.

More than 4.5 years later. This was my personal golden age of gaming, and that emotion is shared with a lot of other people. OG Fortnite is something you can’t describe much with words, a perfect example of “you had to be there”. Explaining it to the friends I have who play now and didn’t then, they don’t believe me when I say this was truly just about the best it got, and barely anything is ahead, with few following this quality as well, just not in the same way. There’s Minecraft, BO2/MW2, TF2, etc. Fortnite’s was a different type of perfect. The type that wasn’t perfect, but everyone was learning together, and working out the pros & cons as a community, as well as having near infinite replay value & a constantly changing scape of play. These years I hold dear in my heart as so much time has passed, yet it feels like yesterday where I got home, sprinted up the stairs, and played fortnite with my friends until I couldn’t keep my eyes open or my mom forced me to come down. A time myself and many other miss dearly, but will (probably) never be recaptured like many other “You had to be there” ages of gaming.

I miss THIS Fortnite. When everything was still new. The satisfaction I felt when I was getting better at building, double pump, the crazy Twitch clips, I used to be able to play this game for hours and still look forward to getting back on the next day.

@@glitch5311 the map is awful ..every game has about 50 bots meaning the kills are boring and not rewarding ...the guns are terrible ...the npc characters are just stupid and annoying ...and yes every game feels like a world cup match ..its just a garbage version of what it used to be

Nerfing turbo building would help a lot. They need to balance the lootpool for competitive and casuals.

C_ultr no, it’s not possible. Yeah you could bring back the map, the gun sounds, the building mechanics. But it wouldn’t be the same. Everyone was bad, everyone had fun. The game was brand new to everyone and now most people have been playing it for over two years now. You saw how basically everyone he killed in that video was a default. If you saw a default today, they were either fake or on an alt account. That game in 2017 is some we will never get back.

The thing is we can’t. Not because epic wont , I mean epic could bring back all the season 3 map, guns sounds and everything. But the one thing they can’t fix is the dumb sweats in the game, you know, you shoot someone once suddenly “oh look there’s the Eiffel Tower” not like epic would do anything good for the game anyways....

The feeling of greatness is gone. The sounds, the buildings. The locations. Nothing is the same if they brought it back it would be so much better. Season 5 was the turning point, when epic took it too far, too extreme, and the game wasn’t the same anymore
Season 8 is win it changes the most to me but yes season 4 was the last actually good old season

AesirApex I play both. And I never said anything about adjustment. Building and aiming is much easier on PC.
