Very good . I've had one for about eight months . It's molted twice and is almost three inches . Always out in the open , never gave me an attitude or kicked hairs . One of my favorites . Thanks .

I just picked up this species yesterday and I’m already completely fascinated by it! There’s something about it and I haven’t even fed it yet! I appreciate the tip about always keeping one corner damp.

I have this as my first T and got them a few weeks ago, apparently while it was in pre molt. Haven't had a chance to see a takedown yet bit we did see them molt from brownish to black. Still rather small

My pumpkin patch tarantula sling (as in it hasn’t molted once) hasn’t eaten in over a month and whenever I drop in a fruit fly it backs off and webs up it’s burrow. My brother runs up and down and it makes thuds, would this have anything to do with it?
The disturbance could be a factor. Does the tarantula seem healthy? Has it lost or gained a lot of size on the abdomen? If the tarantula is responsive and webbing up I wouldn’t worry too much it is probably in pre molt!
My I know the exact size of Mature male of acteon?
Unfortunately I have not seen one in person so I couldn’t give you an accurate size. Reports suggest 5 - 6 inch leg span.
