Obviously I'm waiting for the full review of Tonnerre, and I wanted to know if this fragrance can also be pulled off in a social situation, or it is more of a reflective, self experience. Thank you!
This fragrance smells like ships fighting in the ocean, the citrus he's referring too is the limes that pirates had onboard their ships to stave off scurvy, the metallic note is supposed to be blood I think, imagine the aftermath of an ocean battle; bodies floating in bloody water, limes from the galley floating by, gunpowder burned up in the sinking wreckage.
I love this brand, I own full bottles of Rake and Ruin, Iron Duke and Terror and Magnificence, but had samples of the rest. The only one I hate and I really hate it is fathom v. My wife’s love it though and hates all the rest she pulls faces at

Tonnerre is smoked salmon to my nose. Stingy, deep seaweed. Unwearable but an interesting experience.
