Thank you for posting. I read the paperback novel in the late 1970's. A page-turner! Realistic! On the back-cover of the novel, one the five or more newspaper critics had written in his comment: "Could this be fiction?"
It's a fiction book and Jon Voight (the actor cast in the movie) is one of the biggest supporters of Donald Trump. Clearly Jon Voight has forgotten what the Nazis did. He may have stopped them from returning in a 1970's movie set in 1963 but he's done a lot to ensure the American Hitler is heading back to the White House.
0:19 ODESSA is an American codename (from the German: Organisation der ehemaligen SS-Angehörigen, meaning: Organization of Former SS Members) coined in 1946 to cover Nazi underground escape-plans made at the end of World War II by a group of SS officers with the aim of facilitating secret escape routes, and any directly ensuing arrangements. The concept of the existence of an actual ODESSA organisation has circulated widely in fictional spy novels and movies, including Frederick Forsyth's best-selling 1972 thriller The Odessa File.
Every MAGA so called patriot should be forced to listen to this as a cautionary tale for blind allegiance to a personality over the Constitution a democratic ideals we have been so lucky to be part of
@nata3467 As usual, marxist useful idiots accusing others of the exact thing they are guilty of. Congratulations, you have been successfully brainwashed by the democratic party. You live on hate which is why you always lose.
I would add 'the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich'. It's a great read, but also available in audio, and even a documentary. Can't help but think of all our grandfathers that fought fascism in WW2. And now we have people willingly voting for it. 😢 🇺🇲
The narrator has the perfect voice for this book. I could enjoy listening to him reading out the telephone directory.
The narrator makes the story come alive, David Rintoul outdid himself in this narrative - outstanding (imo).
Thank you for uploading and Great narration.
Let us never forget.

Thank you for uploading. Good narration. We should never forget that this was the reality.

Superb narration of a terrific story. First Class.
One wonders how, having known such horrors, Israelis can commit genocide in Gaza
I need to believe that most Israelis do believe in compassion & a fair two state solution, except for the faction of extremists with Netanyahu.

Exquisite narration.Thankyou
Thanks for uploading this!
Superbly read. Wish the film had followed the book
Yeah, they never do. But it would have been about 11 hours long. Maybe a great miniseries?
This is a book I'd not normally pick up but hearing it read is quite engrossing
Excellent 👏
Excellent narrator. Did justice to this books story.
Excellently read 👏
Fantastic narration
I read the book 10 years back and loved it once more
Great intro !!!
Why do men need women more when they are frightened? Great upload.
They walk among us .... !
Very. Good should I watch the movie ,if there is one
Movie sux (Jon Voight stiffs badly, and narrative changes are grotesque)
The film is poor when held up against this book. This particular narration lifts it even further above the film.
The film is from 1974 starring Jon Voight & Maximilian Schell

Well put and of course, no thumbs up until now.
A naive and foolish comment
