In my timeline Thomas is an E2 new built replica and was built in 1942 but arrived on Sodor in 1945. This is to make more sense for why he would act younger then Henry and Gordon with his alternate arrival date being a reference to when the RWS first started.
Nice customs... but the E2's were actually all painted black with red lining, the LBSC's "goods" livery. Only Nos. 103 and 104 ever had the brown "passenger" livery for when they were being experimented with push-pull trains... Yeah...
The picture you linked me is of #100 when first built, she was in a photographic works grey livery. She wore this livery for a little while in service, but was painted black afterwards. I do believe she was the only one out of the entire class to be painted in works grey.
Not sure... It's really hard to tell from just the B&W photos what livery any of them are in. 1:22 Actually, you're wrong. The first batch of E2s were painted in that colour, but were repainted probably when the second batch with the extended side tanks E2s were built in black. Thomas on LBSCR was painted black and NEVER had worn that special brown livery. That's why you are wrong.
Learned about that quite some time ago. Also, the umber brown color was for passenger locomotives. Only 2 of the first batch were tried out for passenger services. We don't know which 2, but the other 8 would have been black.
My only issues with this are that the E2 class had more than one livery, and the lining is a bit too thick, besides that, they are actually pretty good
No if that happend then in when that Rhys channel started there is a vid and Thomas saw Rhys and recognized him and if he was built in 2001 Thomas would never met him. Anyways so Thomas was built in 1915 and Rhys was built in 1913

100 and 101 of course. LBSC brown livery was for passenger trains and their black livery was for goods engines. And it was always said that two of the E2's tried to pull a passenger train using push-pull methods, but they didn't have the coal necessary.
Yes, but there are a ton of contradictions about that. Timothy said he was the first E2, and his accident was said to have happened in 1913, before the second series was built, yet he seems to have the extended side tanks and his number is 107. DieselD199's short made more sense out of it by removing the number and modeling him with the shorter side tanks. So if we go by that version, which is the one that makes sense, then the first E2 was number 100.
The first five had smaller side tanks and you made it bigger And the other 5 also were only on black The real Thomas was 108 while the actual ORIGINAL Timothy was 107 ...
The first five had smaller square side tanks. It looked better to draw a whole square like Ryan than a small square on the same size piece of wood. Also 8 out of the 10 were originally black, which I learned later on. I didn't get Thomas' number wrong. I explain very clearly in the video why it's impossible for his number to be anything other than 105 or 106. I picked 105. Also, I don't know what fan series you follow, but Rodger is not canon, so I don't have to include him. And the original Timothy movie has his number at 107 yes, but he says he was the first E2, so 100 makes a lot more sense.
@@thomasthesmallengine7550 good point sorry Also my brain was filled “London railway” so idk why I talked about Rodger Maybe Timothy was 100 but with longer side tanks as a rebuild and maybe 107 has an extreme accident and burned to death, Timothy was turned into number 107 but his number on his side tanks was never changed maybe ...
