I completely believe that the plaintiff was belligerent and cussing at the dealership owner. However, they still should have fixed what needed fixing under the warranty. Both parties didn't handle this correctly.

They think that if they can't answer because relevant person not there, then it avoids answering and incrimination but Judges aren't stupid and these people don't realise they are not original in their tactics.
Exactly. Mine did the same stating my warranty didn’t cover what their mechanic stated and I had to call the same guy 4 times, literally read my warranty that had that exact issue covered, threaten to sue before it went from a $4000 charge to covered under warranty….
It kind of reminds me of the confrontation videos you see online that start after everything has escalated and someone (usually the recording party) looks like they're being attacked in some way. You don't see how it started.
I just love defendant's logic about the trailer hitch. They didn't hook up the lights because not all towed vehicles have lights -- which reasoning reduces ALL towed vehicles to non-light status. Brilliant! (snark)
The defendant is an arrogant, typical, car dealer, I hope they have closed down and I'm not surprised they have several bad reviews. When you have a towbar fitted you always have the wiring for the lights, the defendant is talking crap when he says you don't!!
They should have discussed wiring when negotiating the hitch receiver, but I kinda disagree with the judge that it automatically would include wiring. I installed one on my crossover to haul a cargo tray and a bike rack. No wiring at all for what I needed it to do.

The costumer is NOT always right! I’m in the business of costumer service and doesn’t gives anyone the rights to disrespect me! I’ve been witness this more and more. The plaintiff comes across like a victim and he’s the aggressor! She made the call “ I don’t care how rude he was”. WTF! This is a problem and the judge put her stamp on it telling everyone it’s okay to treat people in costumer service like garbage!
Dude (the defendant) has been on people’s court 3 times…previous case was also about a car purchase and the last one was about his being a lawyer for the plaintiff and not doing the work. I don't agree with this ruling. Yes it's rude to hang up on someone and not professional, but I don't feel that he should of won on that alone. Just bc someone hangs up on you doesn't mean they are not honoring the warranty.

You still don't hang up on a paying customer with a valid warranty. It's just not good business savvy! This guy was smarter than the dealers thought he would be, that's why he won the case.
