To be honest I was a bit worried that even with their massive fan base, the fact that they have separate channels would've split the vote enough that someone else would get in. That one of them won anyway (or lets face it, both) even given that gives you some idea just how big their base is. They do face challenges most don't. Most duos on UA-cam share the same channel - John and Hank, Rhett and Link for example. So when they get nominated it's that channel and there's no split. These guys are like a duo but not and that's awesome but going to present some issues that I'm glad they've overcome here.
They are the most well known UA-cam duo on the whole of UA-cam. Hands down. And even if they only share their gaming channel, they are still a pair, no matter what. I keep thinking about 2012 Dan and how he didn't want to be associated with Phil so people didn't think that they were a couple, but look at him now! He and Phil are so well known (UA-cam wise) you can't think of one without thinking of the other. They are what peanut butter and jelly hope to be. I'm SO PROUD of them! They have come so far, not only as creators, but as people too. They are my favorite jelly beans and I can't WAIT to see what they have in store for us in the future!

I suppose you could look at subscriber counts but they have a bias there in that they have separate channels, and a good number of their subscribers will be subscribed to both. They are up there though. And I agree you can't think of one without the other. I'm so so proud of them too, even though I'm not sure I've any right to be. They've come so far and done so much. Both in terms of objective achievements and in terms of becoming more accepting and comfortable in themselves and how fandom sees them and who they are within that. 2012 and the forced distance was crappy and that they've come through that makes me so happy. I am 100% convinced they love each other, I just don't much care in which form. I'm pretty sure they're still holding back but they have a right to a private life and personal experiences just like the rest of us. Also agree I'm excited to see what they'll do next. They've pushed so many boundaries and don't show any sign of stopping.
