I would have like to see more African countries in this trivia as well as the Caribbean islands,as they have not been represented at all. There are many nations in Africa that would be good for people to learn of.I would have also like to see eastern European countries represented as well,such as Romania or Bulgaria.Not a proper geography quiz if you doing only the mainstream places.

I enjoyed this immensely , mainly because it must have been easy. I've never been anyplace except the US (which I know pretty well) but I got all these right except Tanzania (guessed Zimbabwe). I would love it if you did a series of increasingly difficult versions of this same quiz. I think a lot of us would learn a lot. 30/30 - I love geography and didn't stop with the Sporcle quiz until I got 100% on it LOL. I think it's because I was such a crappy academic student that I loved kicking butt in things like reading and geography.
Like several others, I missed Tanzania, mistaking it for Mozambique, though at least they’re adjacent! I was even able to speed up the quiz to 1.75, as the others were quite easy. I enjoy geography, though still get quite a few African countries incorrect - there are so many in one continent! Recently I came across an app, “World Geography”, which I’m finding has definitely improved my geographical knowledge. I’m far better at locations of countries than flags though - they often stump me! Wishing you all enjoyable virtual “travelling”!

A GLOBE is round like a ball, a MAP is flat & shows lands, countries, etc, a CHART shows how to navigate on the sea or in the air - a nautical chart is a map for ships, an aeronautical chart is a map for for airplanes. There are several government agencies that make maps, nautical charts, and aeronautical charts in most countries.

Very fun. !! Most all Americans are not smart when it comes to world geography. Education in the USA needs to emphasize world geography much, much, much more. Americans are so ethnocentric. Part of the problem is the media and news also.
The only country I got wrong was the last one! I would have had more trouble identifying the Eastern European countries - bits that used to be Yugoslavia, Soviet Union, etc. I'm middle aged, but I've only been to one other country. Maybe I'm unadventurous, but I've just never felt a strong urge to travel. I think I'd only go to another country if I had an actual reason for going there, rather than travel for the sake of travelling.

I missed three... Scandanavia always messes me up. I mixed Finland and Sweden, then I missed Thailand, mixing it up with Laos, and I mixed up Venezuela with Columbia.
Sometimes I have trouble with the Scandinavian countries (though technically Finland is not part of Scandinavia). I just think of the three countries way up north and then think of NSF, which stands for non-sufficient funds. So reading from left to right, you have Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
Pretty West/Eurocentric. You left out the really tough nuts like the -stans, most of Africa and Mesoamerica, and what you included is still tightly tied to the European cultural sphere or involved in a conflict with the US. I stumbled over Tanzania, though. I always have a hard time separating this from Kenya.
It has been over 50 years since I memorized all the countries on the map. Got 100 percent back in grade 9. But I am old now and that was a long time ago. So very surprised I only missed 4. The one was on the tip of my tongue, but I was not fast enough. Now if I could only find the stuff I put in safe places so I will know were they are.

Many maps are different depending on what country you are in. An official map when I visited japan did not show Lesotho, Cyprus, or New Zealand. A map from Panama may be different from a map you have seen.

So many countries in Europe have changed since I was in school. There is no more Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia, for example. Every time I think I've got them all down again, another country changes into more than one country with different names.

29/30. I missed Tanzania.... Fun quiz but would have been funnier if it had had more countries from Africa, Centralamerica and south Asia where the countries, at least for me, are more difficult to place.
So many countries in Europe have changed since I was in school. There is no more Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia, for example. Every time I think I've got them all down again, another country changes into more than one country with different names.
Pretty easy. You should add more African countries
29/30! Not bad in my opinion! Couldn't guess Tanzania unfortunately. (Guessed Kenya tbh) Still, gotta thank my HOI4 experiences for teaching me things about geography!
I also said Kenya for that one. Shame on me, my ex girlfriend was from Kenya, she'd be appalled!

29/30. The only one I missed was Tanzania. All the others I answered almost instantly. I noticed that Tanzania seems to be the hardest one in this quiz on average, since I've seen several other comments say that they only missed Tanzania as well.
