My “By The Book” Father Goes To India (Turns Wild)

- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- Join me on an incredible journey through the Seven Sisters of India as I explore this stunning region on a motorcycle! This adventure is even more special because my father traveled all the way from Israel to join me for 9 unforgettable days. Together, we embarked on a father-son saga, connecting with each other and experiencing the beauty of India in a way that words can't fully capture.
From the lush green landscapes to the vibrant local cultures, we discovered the heart and soul of Northeast India. Watch as we navigate through winding roads, encounter friendly locals, and immerse ourselves in the breathtaking scenery. This trip was more than just a journey; it was a bonding experience that brought us closer together and created memories that will last a lifetime.

thank you for insisting that I'll join this trip.
I'll never forget it, I'm so proud of you!!!, thanks for unforgettable memories and for your love
Happy father.. good son 😊
Sir, you will be fine we Indians love Israelis as a matter of fact. Be at home my country is so diverse that you will find change of language food culture traditions at every 10 or so kms. Readily enjoy it and you will never be the same as before , enabling you to face any challange that comes in front of you.
Heart touching moments in the video.. cheers
Sir, glad to have you here in our country. Welcome for next time also.
It is great to share your adventure with your father and enjoy those wonderful moments. I never had a an opportunity to do so myself. God bless you both!
just to clear you down. you're not the first foreigners in Meghalaya and kids sees them whole round of the year .
Yeah thats 100% true. Those are popular tourist destinations.
Yes😅
Exactly...😂 Dude thinks he's the main character, lmaoo..
@@Nate2.4 that's what bro . 😆😆Bro has no Humbleness at all .
😂😂
North-East India will challange your sterotype about India. It's much cleaners, less polluted, less traffic(compared to megacities like Delhi, Mumbai) and people are friendly.
Totally agree. They even look different
Don't say "India" . Say north India. South is different.
@@abrakidabra I agree South is cleaner than North, but still the crowd, traffic, noise, chaos etc are almost same. Although people are friendly from my experience!
So in North u don't include states like uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir or u just wanted to include up,Delhi ,bihar @@abrakidabraif that the case then madhurai is also dirt, coimbatore is also dirty

The UA-cam algorithm brought me here. For a channel with less than 1k subscribers , its actually good that YT help boosting the channel. Good luck 👍
Thank you brother
"Father and I"... When your dad left India really I felt sad.... He is really coolest and loveliest Dad in the world .. ❤❤❤

Yeah Assam is one of my favorite states in India

Wow - Gal, I love you and so proud of you !!! unforgettable memories for life ! thank you for my best time and adventure
Gal, please consider taking your dear father and mother to some of the places that have become "Little Israels", e.g. some of the towns above Dharmashala, and specific spots around Goa, where you will meet with innumerble Hebrew speakers, Israeli-run restaurants, and a lovely, crazy intercultural [con]fusion! Another but different mind-bending trip!!
Welcome to Meghalaya and you should know that Meghalaya Khasi people stand and Love Isreali people .Meghalaya is christian State and People of Meghalaya believes in the Bibles and the Existence of Isreli State .
Meghalaya is not a christian state it belongs to hindus and budhists as well😂 so stfu 🤬

Thank you for your kind words
Im glad the video sparked such emotions for you
I can relate to this .... traveling with a parent after such a long time is one of the most joyous feeling. Hope your dad liked his short time in India despite the chaos.
He enjoyed it dearly. Its one of those adventures that gives a little change in perspective of reality.
How long was your journey with your parent and how did they take it?
@@GalHefer20 days in the US (about 2 decades back). I was an Indian working in the US at the time. I met my parents after 5 years when they flew over from India. They can barely walk now, but they remember every moment of that trip very fondly. Everything was a (pleasant) culture shock to them 😃
man your unlike other travel vloggers they only go to delhi mumbai. you chose the right place to travel
Loved the way your father came and adjusted to the hum and drum of India.
The term "third world country" is outdated and not commonly used in modern discourse due to its historical context related to the Cold War. However, if we are discussing development categories, India is typically classified as a developing country or an emerging economy. It faces challenges such as poverty, infrastructure gaps, and social disparities, but it also has rapidly growing sectors like technology and services.
It's important to note that using terms like "third world" can be seen as pejorative and simplistic, as they do not accurately capture the complexities of a country's development status or economic situation. Therefore, it's better to use terms like "developing country" or "emerging economy" to describe India and similar nations.
Im glad you guys opened my eyes to it in the comment section, I never knew the terms have been changed. Will be sure to address India accordingly from now on
@@GalHefer Welcome to India. Enjoy your stay ❤️
Brother u barely see the beauty of Meghalaya u should have talk to local people to guide u to a few place cherapunji is what other called the place but khasi tribal in Meghalaya called the place Sohra there r many water falls u missed there brother there r also several water falls in jaiñtia hill shnong pdeng is part of jaiñtia hills Sohra/cherapunki is khasi hills
Good work bro, you and your dad are the best! love you guys 😍😍
India was good to you ❤
Thats not true. We have lots of foreigners. Especially Americans missionary and catholic missionary
Sure there are some people, I myself saw one tourist in one month. Yet, If you put it in comparison to the millions of tourists who come to Delhi, Goa or HP, the seven sisters is pretty deserted of tourists. Dozens of missionary are minuscule compared to to the millions
Just a correction. India is no longer a 3rd world country. It is classified as a developing Nation. It will be a developed nation by 2040.
Many people commented this to me.
I had no clue before, thank you for the clarification
@@GalHefer You are welcome. I have Subscribed to you. Meghalaya has some great caves , Root Bridges and many more waterfalls too. Also there is a floating stay on the lake. Do visit it.

That's adorable to know dad never drove bike once you were born and kept his promise long enough ❤
India is NOT a 3rd world country any more. India pursues organic growth and peace and "harmonic" to use your word :-) hence it takes longer to look like western countries where the poverty is shelved away to specific neighborhoods while the main downtowns look pristine. India is as authentic a country as you can get-No wars started by the country ever in its history.
Beautifully said about India.
I agree with everything you said except one thing, No wars? Quick ChatGPT search gave me these wars:
1. Mahabharata War (circa 3100 BCE)
2. Battle of Hydaspes (326 BCE)
3. Kalinga War (circa 262-261 BCE)
4. Gupta Conquests (circa 4th-5th century CE)
5. Battle of Tarain (1191-1192 CE)
6. First Battle of Panipat (1526)
7. Second Battle of Panipat (1556)
8. Third Battle of Panipat (1761)
9. Siege of Chittorgarh (1567-1568)
10. Battle of Haldighati (1576)
11. Carnatic Wars (1746-1763)
12. Anglo-Mysore Wars (1767-1799)
13. Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-1818)
14. Anglo-Sikh Wars (1845-1849)
15. Indian Rebellion (1857)
16. First Indo-Pakistani War (1947-1948)
17. Second Indo-Pakistani War (1965)
18. Indo-Pakistani War (1971)
19. Kargil War (1999)
20. Sino-Indian War (1962)

What a Legend. I added everything to my notes
You and your father are rockstars. Glad you had a good time in India. Good content. Your love for your father was really touching and special. Come back to India someday. Cheers!!
3rd world country?🤣😆
India have more rich and educated people than the entire population of your country.
Infact India have more millionaires than the entite population of Israel.
Amazing! What a great upload! What a dream come true to travel with your Dad, it looks like he had a really great time. 🎉
You are still living in a world of 20 years back.
There's no 1st, 2nd and 3rd world countries anymore. India is a developing country or should I say reclaiming country.
Yeah the roads are crowded, polluted and poverty is there(15%) but the Infrastructure is being ramped up at a frentic pace. Highways, electrification of railway lines, ports, airports and world class mertros are being churned out everywhere in India.
So, India is slowly reclaiming its lost glory.
For sure India is reclaiming its glory. India was by far my favorite country out of all the countries in all the continents that Ive traveled. It feels almost like a second home to me honestly Baya.
Yet, there is no denying from speaking with many locals that make in a month of work what I make in 1 hour of work in my own country, that there is extreme levels of poverty which you can’t deny. India is developing for sure, yet it got a long way to go from a third world country. I know for sure I will get to travel India when it will finally stop being a third world country, with the development in the last 10 years I’m very excited about the developments in India in the next decade
@@GalHefer Again you are incorrect. In the present day lexicon, there is no such thing as a 3rd world country. It's either a developing or developed country.
You can't compare what you make in your country with what you make in India. For example a loaf of brown bread with 12 pieces will cost only $0. 5 in India but the same bread may cost $ 3-4 in USA.
So a term called PPP( Purchasing Power Parity) needs to be brought in accounting for the difference as highlighted by me.
Nominal : GDP/capita is $2500.
PPP : GDP/capita is $ 10k.
So, $ 1 in India= $ 4 in USA.
In a nutshell you need to earn 4x more than what you earn in India to maintain a similar lifestyle
@@kirtigupta9753I’ll take your word for it, next time I’ll be sure to refer to India as a developing country
I subscribed for your father 👍👍👍

Thanks for visiting Mr Gal, try to come again anytime during winter. ❤❤
Should've visit that cleanest river during winter season because in the summer the rain water from the hills flow to the river so the river is not as clear as during winter where you can see the bottom just like a mirror
Yeah that was my mistake. Have you had the chance to go there during winter? Is it real this much clean?
@@GalHefer yes it is, try again to go there but go during winter November will be better.

That roti/chapati guy is scary. Don't do that😭
Did you give the video a Like?
The Chapati Police are no joke, they are the elite of the food chain
Welcome to India especially northeast india,it is better to visit northeast India in sep to November and March to May, Sikkim is also a good destination please do visit ❤🙏
one thing i must say, please remove the chapati police, cause i think in future, you would be termed as racist once your viewership grows.Dont add stereotypes to indian videos. You might not know but A japanese youtuber did the same, violinist kohei starred in a racist video ' curry police' and he lost all his channels subs and got a ton of hate for doing it. dont say i never warned you. Your videos are nice but please remove the stereotypes. Indians are quick to catch up on them and they will not leave you alone.
I appreciate your concern my G and I totally agree with the dangers of this.
For me If I cant express my creative weird humor then I don’t want to do UA-cam. if people will leave, let them. The real ones will stay.
People who take things like this seriously should not follow me
@@GalHefer as i said, its a stereotype, try a better creative art , once you live in india for a long time, you will know what is appropriate and what is not. And believe me, India has a very large population, the backlash you think you will be getting will be far far less as compared to the backlash you will actually be getting. You might not have any experience of that level of backlash.
You know what, you were right. I will make appropriate references from now on
I appreciate you for this
@@GalHefer no worries, I live in India and I know what happens lol, I know you meant it in a good way but when you are targetting the indian audience, you need to cater to their way. The feelings you wanna show need not to be stereotypes but something more imaginative/ creative or just leave it altogether and just focus on vlogs. Indians now even hate that useless music which foreigners used to add in every indian video. In the end, ofc, if you are a casual youtuber for 3-4 videos it's okay to be stereotypical cause no one will care but if you looking to grow with the indian audience, you will need changes
you should come to northern india too... very similar to north east but only difference is higher mountains like tawang or upper arunanchal and silkim.... cleanliness and roads are (if not better) same 😌..... love to all north east brothers a and sisters

FYI, India is no longer labeled as "3rd world".
Being the 5th largest economy in the world, it is known as an "emerging economy" or "developing country".
Shalom, drive safe bro!
There is dish of potatoes, aaloo m'kallah, that is the pride of the Baghdadi Jews of India. Hopefully, you can locate someone who is a genuine expert at making this dish in Israel. In the right hands, it is magic. Smallish whole potaoes of the right starch content and age are peeled, and possibly blanched, before being submerged in vegetable oil that is slowly brought up to the right temperature, and fried for the right time.
A fantastic crust forms, and the inside of the potato shrinks to a small soft center of yumminess. here is where the real expert shines, otherwise the potato will become an oil-soaked horror! Like latkes, the expert touch makes all the difference between a magical delicacy and a horror!!
I am sure that there are many traditional dishes of the different Jewish communities who have made India their home for centuries, and now have returned to Israel. Hopefully, they will continue to preserve and propagate some of their favorite styles of cooking! God bless your nation and all Israeli Jews for all time.
