Several years ago Walmart was selling plastic seal tight tubs, so I bought one. When I got home, I looked it over and knew exactly how to make my own. It was a bit 'pricey' compared to the regular tubs with lids and 'clamp down' handles. All you need is the window sealing stripping that you put around drafty windows. Since it has adhesive on the one side, you put the tape on the lid. Then, when you close it on the tub, it's sealed. It's great for storing dried goods. Plus, you can stack them, which takes up less space.

Walgreens runs a sale occasionally on Maxwell House freeze dried 8 ounce coffee regular and decaf for $4.99 . Stocked up . Toilet tissue and paper towels Walgreens brand are cheaper too.
Thanks Danno. Hope your back is healing nicely. Thanks for this list. Just saw Planters peanuts are being recalled in 5 states for listeria contamination. I'm in Florida, one of those states.
I have stocked some of the small plastic tubs of ready made chocolate fudge frosting. They're right above the cake mixes. When I get desperate, I get a spoon full and eat it. It's about like eating a soft piece of fudge. Not sure why I just told that on myself. 🤓
They don't even sell the 85% organic dark chocolate anymore, and the 90% went out a long time ago. The best you can get is the 70% on Amazon, but that isn't vegan.
If you bake or just need a chocolate fix, buy chocolate chips in the bags, and put in the freezer. Stays well. Watch the sales during the Holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas for chocolate chips.
Our Sam’s club had a lot of skimpy shelves on May 3rd. Things I normally buy were missing or in short supply. Also, no water. There was no store brand water at all and the more expensive brands there was only one left and it was half a pallet. People grabbing it like toilet paper, which was in short supply. The looks on faces made it seem like a fight was going to break out. Btw I’m in El Paso, Texas

My barter items are: flashlights, batteries, matches, canola oil, tuna, candles, and cans of baked beans and corn. Live in a tiny little house for retirement,so I don't have room for more than that.😊
I'm in Canada and I am also noticing prices going up fast while many things becoming hard to find. Ketchup seems to be one of them hard to find things to buy on Amazon. I just bought a two pack of Heinz Tomato Ketchup 1.25L per bottle last month and the next day after I ordered it it's now showing "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." I'm also seeing this a lot on chocolate bars both the big boxes and the signal bars. There used to be tons of rice options to pick from ten months ago now it's maybe a third of what there used to be the rest went out of stock and never came back in stock. Snacks also seems to be hard hit the choices of snakes have gone way down over the last year one by one going out of stock and never returning back in stock. The local stores are not much better stock wise(Prices are a lot higher at the local stores vs Amazon) I started stocking up about two years ago buying a little bit extra each time now I have a good stock pile to keep me going if needed to for a while.
So glad you are feeling better!! Thanks to you, I could probably not grocery shop for at least a year...maybe more. To me, it's like money in my pocket and gives me peace of mind. The worst thing is writing the dates on the cans of when I got them to insure I used the old stuff first!!

My local Food Lion (in NC) has the 6 pack of Hershey's bars (for s'mores!) on sale for $5.27 per pack from $6.59! Less than Walmart for now. Buying them each week for the grands for the summer!
This week our stirr has ground chuck $3.99, and beef bottom round for the same. $120 for each that should last a long time. Other stuff will wait. Those prices cone around on geound chuck one time a month. The beef bottom round once every four months or so.
A lot of people will not buy expensive food and coffee so they either cut it out or cut back or drink something cheaper and look at cheaper food to put on the shelves that they eat . I have never seen a shortage on anything most stores only get one truck a week and with all the people getting EBT card they shop from 1st to 10th of the month mostly unless they are homeless then they will get it when they run out . I'm sorry I will not pay that price for candy bars and pop and chips which is junk food and bad for you . When you talk about ecolli and salmonella think about all these people crossing our borders and using the bathroom in farm field and next to the rivers and in the woods while they are waiting to get in or walking across the boarder undetected . Get a water purification from my patriot supply or 4 patriot supply save up get the charcoal filter one they hold I think 2 gallon for 400.00 this will be my next purchase .
VO 5 men's hairdressing has already disappeared, as has the Denture cleaning brush. Only found on Amazon. Many American-made products are disappearing too. It creates issues for sensitive skin or allergic people.
I switched from Diet Coke to the Aldi diet coke which is only $3.99/12 pack. I don't like to pay more than $3/pound for meat, so now it's less hamburger and more pork and chicken. Now I have to quit olive oil because it too expensive! Walmart Great Value olive oil 101 oz is now $32.97!!!
HI Danno, I've been watching you since I joined your channel 6 months ago. My question for you is you go to a lot of stores but you never go to Save A Lots. Your saying stores are not having certain some items or not getting them. Or try Amish markets, the one near me always has spices by the pound and bunch of other things. Just a thought.
Be careful stocking up on bulk sizes of some things like cooking oils and peanut butter. You need to be careful to be able to use it before it goes rancid. Some things like spam has an incredible shelf life but you don't want to stock up more than you can use before it goes bad. Canned tomato, pineapples, canned milk, and hot sauces don't keep that long after they expire.
canned tomatoes are really not great unless you use them.....the acid works on the inside of the can and I've had a few cans pop.....makes a big mess.....I will buy tomato paste and smsll cans of tomato sauce. Besides, you can grow your own tomatoes on you patio!
I have Whiskey stocked in Ohio. I don't use it but will be a great barter item. Remember to keep tobacco in the freezer it stays fresh. I also have vodka in the freezer. I can use it to make homemade vanilla. The vanilla beans from Amazon come vacuum sealed.
I have all kinds of booze stocked up. And I don't drink. I even bought some small empty bottles on Amazon that I can fill for single shots. I could open a booze-a-terrium. 😄
Danno, canned fish may not be at the big box stores because the suppliers will not take a lesser prices. There is hardly any to be found so they want more money and that is a good thing people will not abuse but use food that they pay more for.
Hi Danno and Jess, I'm glad you're back is feeling better, I played, basketball with my grandson, I had aching legs, for a couple days, man, I was just thinking about getting peanut butter, is there any problem with, a certain brand?
I'm very lucky, I can my own tuna. But I do buy some cans and the little bags when it goes on sale. I feel like I'm good on coffee. Look on the clearance racks at your grocery store. I always find coffee there. But I'm not picky Also noticing baking items low at Aldi. Lots of cereal, but unless it's on sale, it's too expensive.
Bumblebee solid white albacore can tuner my buy at stock price is a dollar a can.... From ShopRite and I get that every 3 months so I'll buy the max which is 40 cans- 48 cans. NYC here
I think it got a lot to do with greed these companies see that stuff keep selling so they say okay their being sold out so let's go up and will still buy them gready people stop buying so much and they will go down
Hey everyone! My back is feeling much better! Thank you all so much!

Much better, thank you!
Glad to hear that. Take it is though. Have a great week. Going to get hot here in Florida midweek In the 90’s
Thanks Danno.hope you heal quickly
Meijer is Awesome and amazing over the years and much better than Kroger and Walmart, they don’t have it in Colorado California and Arizona
I hope your back is feeling better. I have had back issues and it is a nasty pain…
Got a nice supply of coffee, peanut butter, rice, chicken and chocolate, the only things on the list I really consume.
I bought so many cans of tuna. They were 75 cents each.
Thank you for feeding the zombie empire. I live in the city so appreciated. I won't be in your mag either.
Jeanette, I don't think you were invited
A little over a year ago I got Starkist tuna for 50 cents a can . It was at Safeway during their dollar sale. I got a lot!
I love our Meijers. They have very good meat and the best fruit and vegetables in my area. I appreciate when you do videos about them.
I live in Cincinnati I grow my own herbs an my own tomatoes meijer only place I shop. Make your own bread products
Almond milk has a good shelf life too. I was buying Nov exp date in January
Hope your feeling better today Danno have a wonderful day!
Much better, thank you!
California grows olives so not that necessary to buy Italian or Greek olive oil
Like your content and attitude Brother....Subscribed..Thanks
VO 5 men's hairdressing has already disappeared, as has the Denture cleaning brush. Only found on Amazon. Many American-made products are disappearing too. It creates issues for sensitive skin or allergic people.
A .99 cent store staple. Rip
Not much of a cook ,, I use lard for cooking oil . I render lard while canning pork loin.
If things get bad enough, we will not be able to rotate foods.
Become a producer of something.
Kroger has Chicken of the Sea canned salmon on sale. The Kroger salmon is good, and far less than many other brands.
So happy that you are feeling better!:)
Thank you Danno ❤️✝️
I am in Illinois and stock up when Meijer has their 7 for $7. They also have a pretty good reward system 💯
How are you feeling, this morning. Danno
Much better, thank you!
Hello... thanks Danno 👍
I drink almond milk or oat milk...depends on availability and price.
canned tomatoes are really not great unless you use them.....the acid works on the inside of the can and I've had a few cans pop.....makes a big mess.....I will buy tomato paste and smsll cans of tomato sauce. Besides, you can grow your own tomatoes on you patio!
Costco has large supply of the major spices. Plenty of cereal but the price is up ,
Definitely have barter items! I don’t use tobacco but living in Montana not a bad idea to have a few cans of chewing tobacco 😂😂
I have Whiskey stocked in Ohio. I don't use it but will be a great barter item. Remember to keep tobacco in the freezer it stays fresh. I also have vodka in the freezer. I can use it to make homemade vanilla. The vanilla beans from Amazon come vacuum sealed.
@@KimberlySpahr haha perfect!! Know your demographics 😂
I have all kinds of booze stocked up. And I don't drink. I even bought some small empty bottles on Amazon that I can fill for single shots. I could open a booze-a-terrium. 😄
yup lill botts of booz cigs smoke
@@JamesBrown-db9pk perfect 😎
Ha! I JUST bought some tuna to “freshen” my pantry - and it was BOGO free.
Danno, canned fish may not be at the big box stores because the suppliers will not take a lesser prices. There is hardly any to be found so they want more money and that is a good thing people will not abuse but use food that they pay more for.
I'm not buying tyson even if they have by one get one sales
Off topic ? But
Have you heard that
Sams ? Costco?
Will be using ai
To check carts
When we leave?
Getting rid of workets?
Thanks
Hi Danno and Jess ❤❤❤
Good morning
Nothing here I can't live without or substitute.
Almond milk doesn't surprise me. Take 8 gallons of water just to produce one nut!
Coconut milk better than Almond or Oat.
Mystik Dan won the Derby 😁🍀✌️
Tyson investing billions in growing bugs for protein

They will go, are going to migrants first.
Salt, meat and water.
I think it got a lot to do with greed these companies see that stuff keep selling so they say okay their being sold out so let's go up and will still buy them gready people stop buying so much and they will go down
