Damn, the original is like the ending where everyone just died but this one is the one where you died for everyone else to live. A little bittersweet because of your sacrifice, but overall a good ending. And the outro for this one is the part when you're actually dying, where all the pain and darkness comes. I love this version!

This is a wonderful rendition indeed for capturing the suppressed fury and resentment vaguely present in the original. Instead of the death of a person, it brings the death of their personhood to mind; like an ambition slowly crumbling down with devastating failures one after another. In that there’s no fear of consequence, only an intensive episode of anger directed at a society that set them up for fail. This isn’t depression inducing but rather fierce if you ask me

Edit: forgot to mention, the ending feels like when your death finally comes but unlike in many stories it’s not calm, painless and accepting. It’s painful, sharp, cold, and makes you want to escape but your body no longer functions and you’re left there with a permanent expression of awe and disbelief at the amount of discomfort you felt in your final moments

In my in interpretation:
From the outside, you lived a good life. Maybe did some good things but you never felt satisfied. The sadness and stress battled within your mind trying to overpower the good life you lived, trying to make you speak out. At a certain part of the song the music intensifies over the calm beat with layers of those hurt feelings stacking on top of one another and you have finally let your stress and sadness explode, letting everyone know, taking your stand and showing them that your life is not as good as it seems. It is not without strife. And then everything is happy again and only the calm beat shows through for a moment. Until those shadows and that stress returns, and they wear you down lower and lower until the end. With the soft tune mixed into the decay at the end it seems like there is hope someone will save you and pick you up. But no one has arrived yet you are left to wait until the music stops.

This kind of reminds me of this recent memory I had of me and my mom. I opened up and we talked alot about something that happened when I was a little kid and what she knew about it, and near the end, my mom hugged me and I cried. This song feels like you are sacrificing yourself to save your friends but don't want to die yourself, so you try to save your friends without dying but at the end you give up and die for your friends, dying a slow and painful death.

People seem to find this and the original as songs were the heros failed, but I see the original seeing how they won, but lost so much in the process, and this as that hero realizing that they still have a lot to fight for
you thought you killed the big threat, but in actuality the real threat was somewhere else, as you walk down the town (or whatever) you see that everyone is gone as you see a looming darkness over the place, you thought you did everything you could too prevent this from happening, as you slowly realize that you failed everyone.

death is truly the single worst thing that can happen to a person
I like the art for this it's amazing! For what I see, the text near the stick man is more legible while zooming out from the middle the text gets more messy where you can't even understand what it says in a way it's like having some sort of mental illness that repeats your thoughts and doubts you where you start to go crazy. Where the only thing you can perceive is your self although in an altered, twisted way. That's what I can see from the picture it I'm sure it wasn't intentional but I do like how it was made like that.

Thematically I just love the change at the end. Right before that, it feels like you are putting up your last fight, to win, to survive, you are giving it your 110%, and it seems to be going well.

I like how in the original for me it felt like you were calm in space, yet felt unsafe. This one makes it feel like you're in a calm meadow, then all of a sudden the whole world turns on you and you're never safe no matter where you go, and you are forced to fight for your life alone

To me this doesn't sound like a sacrifice but it moreso sounds like the foreboding boss theme to a sad betrayal plot twist. Like the person you trusted the whole game, spent the most time with, suddenly betrays you because you actually helped them achieve their goals and now you must kill them.

Ending 1 is basically you are injured in a way that you can still fight with your comrades but after you have won the battle you are brought to your knees as the effect of the injury finally kicks in, you won, you see your comrades and friends charging forward, pushing the enemy back, they will continue on without you, this isn't the end, for them at least, which makes it… a little easier to pass away.
I like to imagine this as follows: the beloved hero’s once vibrant and expressive soul has been severed from their body, the old “them” can now only watch as their shell kills everyone they grew attached to. The bad ending, by “your” own hands
