Wow. I'm Filipina and I don't watch those "usual" Filipino movies. But this one I think I'll watch. It seems like a very good film, with a lot thought and creativity put into it. Good job Hannah Espia! I'm sad they didn't get an Oscar nomination. Maybe next time.

By the looks of it, this is a beautiful, well crafted movie. But unfortunately, this will not click in the Philippines because many Filipinos prefer to watch commercial movies of their favorite celebrities.
It's not yet nominated at the Oscars. It will be the Philippines' entry to the foreign-language film category, then the Academy will choose 5 foreign films as nominees.
I just saw this in "Ang Pinaka"...tapos my heart fell when they showed the kid stating some phrases in the Torah, which showed the flaws in the policy...I must watch this film... also, I love Jasmine Curtis doing some indie stuff, unlike her sister...
