TBH When these super competitive decks ending on like 5 negates or better. i'd argue they're doing the same thing as the anti-meta player here is but just taking longer turns to do it. The meta player is essentially stopping his opponent from playing yugioh at all while torturing him to sit through 10 minute combos. I'mma do the same thing but in like 3 minutes.

While I will admit i am not above using floodgates, eldlich is too basic for me, no I'd rather create and tinker my own decks made from scratch to the point of unfair than archetypes like (eldlich which is more of an engine than a deck of it's own by the limited amount of cards for it) just so i can expose my opponent to new possibilities to worry about. also to preemptively answer possible questions: to list a few deck types brought me to this point prank-kids, that one deck that combo'd a solo 24 card chain against me in ygopro, and infinite negate feat dpe. Also swordsoul, adventure, and burn decks to add three more to that list!
@@ANexus21i used to rock skull servant eldlich (no floodgates at all) but it simply became unplayable when tears dropped so i made my own pure mathmech deck which was ok vs tears with either a loss or an unstoppable otk. Got bored of that tho so now i play D link after shifting through many fun decks like plunder patroll which i liked for its variety.
And that's when you realize that Master Duel isn't a coin flip game and you aren't losing to a coin flip. You're losing because either you bricked, or your opponent didn't. So you call it coin flip as a cope to feel better.

(Lava Golem, Kaiju, Sphere Mode, Divincarnate, along with Droplet, Dark Ruler, and Raigeki/Duster/Lightning) Plus OTK decks are a thing which relish going second. Some of which can smash through most boards.

@2FaiLP Because people don't play enough Tear counter cards. We have every counter in the world and nobody runs them. The only times going second is a lose is because a lot of players want to rely on 5+ omni negate boards. Because Konami doesn't know balance for shit.
For me, it wasn't that deck list it was ruining people's days with Zombie World Lockdown with Eldlich and Balerdroch with Necrovalley as a Backup plan B.
I personally like my old school trap cards that destory a card as its played or the can be destoryed by battle cards I may lose the battle but I just wasted 30 mins to a hour against me lmfao

Around when branded fusion dropped I was doing really well with pure evil twins outside of running into floo without enough handtraps to stop them in hand. Then sprite dropped and I made evil twins sprite and now because I hate the top meta decks I run sprite runnick evil twins or labrynth.

@@msc2479 basically the strategy is to go first and do everything in your power to stop your opponent from playing. If they can negate your monster effects or blow them up with spell cards you most likely lose immediately. But other spells like change of heart, There Can Only be One, Summon Limit, Dark Hole, etc. will try to keep you in the game as long as possible. The monsters normally used are Vanity’s Fiend, Inspector Boarder and a Dino card I can never remember the name of It’s a strat that wins up to a certain skill level. More meta decks will have a lot of cards to clear a board like that
same, been trying a runick sky striker stun deck it takes 15 to 20 turns to finish, i dont care if i win or not as long as i can make it last longer sometime even if i have game i will not go for the LP and go for a deck out win.

But most of the times I lose because I brick all the time. So I threw away my Noble Knights and built an Earth Machine deck that contains Machina, Trains, Infinitracks, and the cannons.
Not ashamed to admit I'm playing Vernusylph right now. Hey if they want to play broken ass ishizu tear, then i'm going to drop barrier statue, fossil dyna, amorphage goliath on them. their own fault.
Its best of 1 in a card game where you can legitimately lose just because you lost the coin flip. Yeah, losing 5 games in a row with branded is very possible especially at higher levels.
Currently playing necrovalley with royal tribute and these cards. Making the opponent discard all their monsters turn 1 and then proccing card of demise and others into a full back row with boarder is hilarious.
Gren maju infinite lp loop is still my favorite deck in the game. Been playing it for half a decade now and it still warms my heart everytime it works. Half the time by the time your opponent knows what’s happening it’s too late and you have 50k lp
It really do be 1 bad fucking day. I played Ghoti with 3 Dimensional Fissure and 3 of the trap that banishes Monsters. And played Weather Painters with Skill Drain and as far as playing Qliphort with Skill Drain, Light/Shadow imprisioning mirrors, and more floodgates
I've stuck with Crusadia and Swordsoul ever since Master Duel came out. If anyone is curious to see, I have a ton of my Swordsoul replays on my channel. I have a ton of Crusadia replays from the first six months of Master Duel, since that's when I switched over to Swordsoul. So, you'll see a ton more Swordsoul replays. I play Swordsoul b/c they can do more than Crusadia. But Crusadia was the only deck I ever got to Highest Rank with (in all first 6 seasons, too). 😄
I started Master Duel recently and have been out of the loop for years. Starting off with a blue-eyes deck is great cuz that’s the deck I ran before, but saw how often I lost to meta decks. So I switched to a modern version of my old Gravekeeper’s deck, which is a great stun unless your hand gets bricked, but now I run a Yubel deck because it actually feels consistent
My "bad day deck" has been usually a Floowa deck. Remember that on late limit 1 festival I was tired so I modified my Floowa deck and Many of those lock decks ended rage quitting so fast
Was playing albaz against a deck like that. Brought out the fusion that can't die from battle. They stopped my first out with a Solemn. I ended up almost decking out until I found out you can Nadir's Servant a Psyframe Omega and loop it so you can't deck out
I love branded but invoked branded bystial thunder dragon is my go to. Mechaba for the Omni, colossus for the search lock, mirrorjade for the banish, and masquerade for the burn 💯
