The lease for the land can pretty much always get extended so you can have the property for longer. You also can rent it out and make some profit out of it. Having a home in Bali is always a good investment ;)

This is not a good investment over 25 years at $800,000. You can rent a similar Villa for $1600 a month over 25 years of renting thats just $480,000 bucks So Not a good investment, There are cases where the lease holders never renew the lease and ask you to leave .

When you rent a villa monthly you are only allowed to live in and as opposed to leasehold you wouldn't be able to make profit out of it, so it wouldn't even be an investment. I won’t be needing your advice… Its Bad Investment you know it i know it, And looking at the comments many other do too, Its a Lease hold property and after 25 years will not renew the lease , They will take back the land and the Person who had paid the lease for 25 years will get asked to leave, Then the lease Holders again have a house unless the person takes the house with them but that’s impossible. The whole process starts again, They state that the lease Holder has a opportunity to renew but the wording will also give the lease holder final approval thats where it gets iffy . If they say No you lose the house, We have seen this happen many times , And is the reason we do not sell that type of Property, And your advice about not being able to make any profit by renting it is a bit Duh to be honest , By renting it i have already saved $400,000 over 25 years buy not paying the original £800,000 and only the $480,000 in rent plus interest that would be over $600,000 . Renting turns out to be better after all ..

This is a terrible investment. You pay $800,000 for 25yrs of leasing house. Do not get fool by the interior design.

Also remember in 10-15 years the area is going to be alot different let alone 25 years

To pay $875,000 for a 25-year lease? Then what? Basically, you rent this house for $35,000 per year.

Renting out a property that is not under title to an Indonesian citizen or a registered Indonesian corporate entity is illegal.
