Fay, I was first put in to The Fairport Convention when I came across singer/songwriter R8chard Thompson and became a fan. Including my fav by him, Meet On The Ledge - Cropredy 2017. The lyrics are incredible! I enjoy this, also, so thanks!! Richard is the guy playing guitar with a beret. Or you can see just him performing it here---Richard Thompson : Meet On The Ledge (live 2006)
A legendary singer whose works carried on. One of her unpublished lyrics for a song called 'London' was set to music and sung by Thea Gilmore as a theme song for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The late and great Sandy .............One of my go to tracks of all time .....Love you girl ..R.I.P. ..We all miss you ..Beautiful ...Your fickle friends are leaving ...
As well as her solo career and her time with Fairport Convention and Fotheringay, Sandy was the only female artist to appear on a Led Zeppelin album. "Led Zeppelin 4" "The Battle of Evermore".
Judy Collins is essential listening. She recorded this classic along with "Both Sides Now", "Someday Soon", and others by the best songwriters of the era.
Great singer I've been a fan of for decades. Tragic how her life ended, but all one can do is focus on her at her best, such as in the song "All Our Days" with an orchestra backing her up.
A great singer and a great band. Check out Richard Thompson who is the greatest acoustic guitarist alive no slouch on electric and probably the greatest British songwriter still writing and performing
Sweet! "Who Knows Where The Time Goes" is one of my all time favorite songs. Too bad though about that video distraction diverting attention away from the music. Remove that distraction and this is the sort of song that can draw tears. So too with Fairport Convention "Farewell, Farewell" and "The Ballad Of Easy Rider". Sandy Denny was the only other singer besides Robert Plant to ever appear on a Led Zeppelin album (notwithstanding backing vocals of Jones & Page on a couple of songs). She sings on "The Battle of Evermore" from Led Zeppelin IV. Knowing how much you like songs that tell stories, check out Fairport Convention "Matty Groves" and "Tam Lin".
hey faye i am not sure u got my comment but i gave u some suggestions it was on your james brown video that's where i made the comment and u should react to zero 7 again

One of my favourite songs of all time...just achingly sad and beautiful at once. I love your reaction(s).
Aww! Thank you🤗🤗
Much love❤️❤️❤️😍😍
The lyrics are positive and hopeful but the sound is sad and resigned.
I love The Fairport Convention. The Sandy Denny/ Richard Thompson era of the band. She had the finest female voice I've ever heard.
Sure💯💯
And still a wonderful live band.
