She can compete well on a show like this only with favorable song choices. She can't sing a song like Seulgi's solo nearly as well as Seulgi did. Listen to her attempt the high notes on ImSongs and consider whether it's enjoyable to listen to. I think Seulgi should have won, and if she had a song that enphasized the high end of her range, would have won. Right or wrong, the high notes usually are what separate the singers (especially females), in this case they didn't. That was a bit unfair to Seulgi, imo.

ALi has this raspy and husky tone that doesn't suit well in this kind of song BUT she brought more techniques AND sounded way more relaxed while she was singing. ALi's voice is not for this kind of song and we all know that, but she IS a better singer and everyone can see even in this performance (and she didn't showed 1/5 of her talent let's be honest).
