Jessie that usually doesn’t matter, the company owns the artists therefore also the songs they write while being with the company, which means the song doesn’t usually belong the artist and the company is allowed to do whatever they want with the song.

Labels don't allow some of their former artists to perform songs produced under the company because the artist broke the contract terms and such. Sunmi left JYP on good terms and she didn't break the contract at all that's why she's allowed to perform the songs.
