Hi, I have my lesson observation on Wednesday and I am really looking forward to this opportunity. Can you please guide me some interview and lesson tips?
I’m also worried as CS secondary as the children are older compared to to primary and I don’t know how they behave etc so watching it right now hopeful things gets fine and they listen and learn and respectful too
Try not to worry, we're sure you will have the skills to handle behaviour in any age - our handling disruptive behaviour series may also help you here :)
Yes, I am looking for a PART -TIME PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT VACANCY OR A PRIMARY COVER SUPERVISOR VACANCY IN LONDON, ENGLAND. I AM PLANNING TO STUDY MY B.A. IN PRIMARY EDUCATION WORK BASED DEGREE AT ST.MARY'S UNIVERSITY TWICKENHAM LONDON. I NEED A PRIMARY TEACHING OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY THIS UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING DEGREE. I have previous primary supply teaching experience. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!
One minute in, there was some incorrect information I'm afraid. In some schools, they expect cover supervisors to actually teach. They shouldn't do this of course, as many cover supervisors are not qualified teachers, some of them don't have degrees. So if you are expected to teach as a cover supervisor, don't. It's not in the job description.
Thank you for watching and for sharing your experiences. As we discuss in this video, we agree with your point that cover supervisors are not meant to teach, but to manage the behaviour of the class. You make a good point that a cover supervisor may not be qualified to teach
@@My-Progression Anytime, I did this job for about 4 years, and I've seen it all. What is most absurd is, a cover supervisor may be called upon to teach a class with no supervision, even when they have no teaching experience. Yet, a trainee teacher must have their mentor with them, or another member of staff for safety, despite them having more experience. It's mad.
Thank you so much for this video.. Got my first cover supervisor role this week.
Thanks for watching! how exciting, best of luck in the new role!
