Watching your videos is so therapeutic. As a new acrylic artist I was looking to further my new hobby which started with a beginners six week course. I have attempted one of your paintings and to be told I have mastered your style of painting. I will continue to paint and enjoy listening to your guidance and background music to create wonderful works of art. I have two questions could you provide a video to explain the different types of brushes and how to make a wet palette plus store it. Also do you take the border tape off whilst the paint is still wet? Please continue to produce videos and happy painting!
Thanks so much Pauline. So pleased you are enjoying my painting tutorials and gaining confidence. I have published a video about the brushes that I use in my tutorials and how I made a stay wet palette which you may find useful: ua-cam.com/video/cYf2pPGpjRk/v-deo.html. More videos to come! Thanks again
This painting is so inspiring! I don't know how you do it but everytime I watch one of your channels I want to paint. Are you painting animals at all (watercolour or acrylics)?
Thank you so much 😀 I do paint animals from time to time. I recently painted some camels on my watercolour channel:ua-cam.com/video/FV4qhzRJDxY/v-deo.html :)
FRIED EGGS HAHAHAHAHA LOVE IT!!! So...I fell in love with this one because of the background; I love blues in grass, and I loved all those gorgeous brushstrokes. The grey in the white of the daisies was a brilliant idea. I'm not sure why it worked so well, but it did! Karen can you tell us what made you decide to switch to a smaller brush halfway through painting the petals? Thank you - lovely way to start the weekend!
Glad you enjoyed it Tamsin! It was so much fun to paint!! I switched to a smaller brush to paint some smaller details and control some of the marks for the petals. Hope that make sense. Have a lovey weekend :)
Thanks for this tutorial! Just what my Friday needed. I was wondering if I could use a palette knife for the petals and centers. Just to introduce a little more texture. Do You think that would be OK for this?
The daisies look so alive against the dramatic background - really looking forward to doing this project - big thanks 🙏😁
Thank you Chris! I really hope you enjoy painting these daisies! They were so much fun to paint! :)
Lovely
Lovely picture! A very effective background. Thank you Karen as always!
You are so welcome! Thank you John!
Beautiful and lovely.. congratulations 🎉👏
