Stop apologizing, Kyle, it's fkn 8,000, prolly 150 slope. Bogeys are GOOD. You're your own worst enemy. You're a fkn amazing golfer, get your confidence up!!
Yeah, I think Erin Hills played at around 7,700 in the 2017 US Open. Adding an extra 300 yards makes it much harder, but Koepka shot -16 for the tournament. The gap is still huge for Kyle.
@@1b0o0 Brooks also beat a field of PGA Tour players by 4 strokes. Most of the field was WAY over par on the final day. The gap was huge for everyone to Koepka that tournament.
@@andyhooper8641 there were lots of -12, -10, etc... It's a US Open, so conditions would be worse than what Kyle encountered here, and normally, under-par rounds in the US Open should be an anomaly. He even said at the beginning that the rough was not that bad. There is a huge gap between UA-cam golf and pro golf.
@@1b0o0 Well no kidding there's a big gap. But you dont use a historically low winning score at the US Open as a benchmark to an amateur. There's a huge gape between the top guys on tour and the lower guys on tour too. Maybe most importantly, you think Kyle doesn't know that? You literally commented just to crap on someone being encouraging like Kyle is so stupid he doesn't realize he's not as good as Brooks Koepka.
@@andyhooper8641 well said sir. It’s awesome Kyle is pushing a course like this to it’s limit for an amateur and being genuine about the highs and lows of his round
Kyle you are hitting that 2 iron perfectly. It's as much of a weapon as your driver and you did not miss with it. We all love seeing the 400 yard bombs but you are hitting that 2 iron well over 300 and leaving it in spots you can attack from.
Played this course from 7000 yards over a decade ago, so definitely not the same. However still a beast. I had the same goal. To break 80. Parred the last hole playing about 625 to shoot 79! Definitely a highlight for me. And it was only $99! Those days are long gone. Thanks kyle for coming to Wisconsin. Barring the private country clubs, there's definitely a number of other stellar, and tough courses many of us would love to see you play from the tips!
I love the videos with Bernie. He's very knowledgeable on the game and his point about the leading edge from the fescue was really helpful. Would love to see more of him on the channel.
Kyle you are a beast. You became the best in the world at something which is a feat that is almost impossible to achieve. Many talented people work very hard at something for a long time and never even come close to achieving that. You are maybe the greatest long driver of all time which means you have the talent, the drive and you know what it takes. Sometimes it looks like you are so hard on yourself that you almost hold yourself back. You get to play golf for a living bro, so you are quite fortunate. Enjoy the journey man.
Great vid Kyle and looking forward to more. Love seeing driver vs. iron off the tee. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. After watching some of your videos, I've started playing holes backwards from the center of the green to the tee box. I'm super confident with my gap wedge from 120 and am playing off the tee to that number. It's made a difference too because I'm typically a 18+ handicaper and just shot my best round ever of 84 last week with not a single lost ball. Keep up the hard work and thank you!
I love the 18 hole videos with the course management strategy. The fescue tip is a good one, thanks. One thing I noticed though is Kyle kept over reading the putts and missing on the same side.
Kyle, you were so gutsy on #14 with your 2 iron, so yes I'm subscribing! FYI my son just turned 16, he plays Torrey quite a bit. I was lucky to see him score an Eagle on #8 from about 95 yards. Ball hung on the lip for about 3 seconds and dropped. We were so thrilled!
Been watching your videos on and off since your very first video. Love the content. Game has gotten sooooooo much better from the early days of your videos. Keep it up
That 8000 yard Links style course (fescue rough), wind and brutal lies (bunkers) and brutal slopes reminds me of Links courses over here in the UK. The fairways, luckily are not as tight as in the UK. I believe you when you say it plays tougher than Torrey Pines. That course was brutal - no small wonder it got you down. Gotta take your buddy Bryson DeChambeau out to Erin Hills GC before he plays in the Open at St. Andrews (a course where long hitter John Daly won). Would love to see you do a tough course like this together. If your putting improves you’ll be impressive! Quite a few shots dropped on 3 putts. I did enjoy that 410 yard drive. Thanks for doing this vlog. I love watching guys who love pushing the envelope between tech and performance.
Would have been so epic if Kyle yelled "This driver sucks!" after that first tee shot 😂 I know it's the Indian not the arrow and this was probably shot before that debacle, but that was my first thought.
Shooting 80 from the "Tips" with 4 or 5 Penalty Strokes is really a damn good score. Kyle's irons today were really struck well. Some of those Drives are a little wild but the putting was very good too.
Thanks for this video. I am impressed with your ability play great golf being a long drive champ. Usually they have no shot control. Definitely inspired to keep grinding. Great round, brutally aggressive and intimidating swing. Stay unsatisfied!
Freaking BEAST!!! Course and Kyle. I dare to say I see NO ONE taking on the course at 8k. No justification Kyle. Much respect. I would of shot a 150. Great playing!!!

I can’t imagine playing this course at 8000 yards bro. I played it in May this year for a high school tournament and we played I think around 6300 yards and it was insane. I love to see the videos that give Wisco some love. Keep it up!
Really beautiful course. A video like this really puts it into perspective why this course was awarded the US Open a few years back. It’s hard when set up like this, imagine when it’s set up by the USGA!! 😱

Another thing to think about is the distance in to the green for your next shot. You hit your 2 iron as far if not Further than everyone on the planet, and extremely accurate. I’m done being excited about you hitting the D 450yards. I do enjoy a good strike down pound town, but I love watching you go low more. That’s not easy on an Ego, which you’ve done an excellent job of reigning in. When I play with the younger men, I tend to try and swing out of my shoes, so ego has a huge influence on managing the game. If I get one out 330, it’s a striped show with gale force winds behind me, but it’s what we do after the drive that gets the low scores. Keep grinding! You have what it takes, to play on the PGA big boys tour, and hope by next season we see you getting into some PGA events. MONDAY qualifiers at opens which I know you can be on those leader boards.
