Hi Chris, I’m learning to drive in a (newer) diesel car and whenever I attempt to move off quicker by pressing the gas the engine just sorta growls at me and I don’t go anywhere I think it may be because I’m holding the biting point but I’m not too sure, any tips?
@World Driving, Very useful video! I have one issue though. I currently drive in a Citroen C1 and my gas pedal is very sensitive. When i move off on busy roundabouts/junctions, I often give like 2500-3000 revs when I press the gas pedal and I find it hard to get around 2000 revs. While I move off quickly, I don't think it's good for the car. Do you have any tips how to deal with this issue? Cheers!
I can think of three things you could try. Practice revving the engine slightly while the car is stationery to get used to the sensitivity. Try driving in shoes with a thin sole to help feel the pedals. Try not to have too much foot on the gas pedal but use the ball of your foot. Good luck :)
