With all these greenwashing reformulations we’re seeing, I feel like I’m back to square one when it comes to naming my favorite brands. I find myself relying on honest reviewers (like you, Lexi) who have been in the game long enough to remember just how good many previous formulas were. Lazy repromotes, inferior reformulations that don’t last as long, less product at inflated prices-so many disappointments launch after launch. I think the so-called “clean” reformulations disappoint many of us who have been around the proverbial block long enough to be hyper aware of their inferiority. Of course, most newcomers to makeup won’t be able to realistically compare the new to the old and so they probably wonder what the uproar is all about, but the reformulation switcheroo will eventually hit them. In the meantime, I guess oldsters like me will just need to readjust our expectations and get with the program. After 66 years of wearing makeup, I could write a book about the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to formulas.
Dammit! I already love the Valentino rockstud packaging, with the slim format. Hopefully contains more product than the TF tho! 😕😄 The TF hi-liters were 50 % off on the Selfridges sale, and I think they still didn't sell out...and now there's another repat of the quad too 😬 The cases on the Dior quints look more interesting to me than the actual colorstory! 🤷🏻♀️...but those stick foundation/contour/bronzer sticks...yes!! (if the shades go beyond 2x) Chanel - no!...not amused with how the color of the blush/hi-liter duo changed. Don't like the new ones. And what happened about the Dior blush/hi-liter duos...didn't see them on the list? 😢 Will look out for your review on the Hermes #73! Thanks Lexi! 😊
🤔Very disinterested in TF and Dior. I have super similar quints already so I simply don't need those. I'm only interested in the Chanel stylos, they do look fun. And definitely the Suqqu lip fogs I'd be curious to hear about! Givenchy I do like the 2 colours of the stick balms. I don't have any of the coloured ones right now and it looks like pretty fall colours 😊otherwise zero interest in blushes and lipsticks. I have drawers of the same stuff
Hi Lexi, I like the silver quint from Dior but I already have a silver quint from Holiday collection 2023 and this one looks very similar. So I am not sure if it’s worth it considering the questionable formula. The Chanel blushes are nice colours but I am not a highlighter lover and the their formula for blushes (permanent or limited edition) let’s say is not my favourite. So probably I will skip this collection. So far I am a bit disappointed about the new Chanel creative directors. I was expected to see more exciting collections and didn’t happen yet. Definitely I will buy the new Hermes eyeshadow. The rest of the new releases are a hard pass for me. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

The Gucci highlighters look very interesting! And the Valentino lipsticks and the Rabanne ones…too many things! Almost happy that the Chanel blushes are not what I expected
Thank you Lexi! I was worried Id want everything, so Im hugely grateful to see so little I really love. Im tempted by a couple of the Burberry lipsticks/balms and maybe the Chanel pink blush duo and eye pencils (I always pick the same shades as you). The Gucci lavender highlight though probably not. Suqqu looks really interesting which Im relieved about because I was really starting to lose interest and Im a long term devotee. The Dior grey based balm - at least they're trying something different. Maybe one of the liquid blushes from YSL. What strikes me though is how samey it all is and how rare it is is to see something that bucks trends. All the brands move like a herd. It's not just that one or two of them focus completely on lip balms and glosses; from the odd lip balm or gloss line now every single brand is producing them every single launch and Im so tired of them already. And all the basic shades are the same, brand to brand, serving exactly the same people. Cool tones were another (sadly brief) trend for the herd (as opposed to something many people actually are). It's as if they all coordinate in advance. Next? Liquid bronzers/ blushes everywhere? Skin tints on sticks? Green eyebrows? I guess genuine innovation under the constant pressure of repeated launches must be incredibly hard, but everyone apparently agreeing to produce the same stuff for safety doesnt seem like the answer. And... end of rant!😶
Hi Lexi, I am not interested too much in anything. Maybe Chanel aqua pencil, and unless they have some kind of amazing formula,in those blush duo, I would prefer coral, it’s a pass . Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Hi Lexi. I’ve noticed you like Suqqu a lot. How influenced do you think you are because they’ve been sending you promotions? I know you are generally very thorough with your reviews, but it just feels like you are a bit subjective with this brand. And I don’t mean to sound disrespectful, but I just love your honest opinion.
I have been buying suqqu for many years, way before they started sending me any pr. They have always been a brand that I love and i still love them. As I have stated in a few videos, recently their quality has been inconsistent. Some of the palettes (like those with the marbled shades) have not performed as well as their classics. Aside from a few of the recent palettes, their quality has always been consistent and so incredibly well-done. These new moisture glaze lipsticks are seriously some of the best imo.
I will definitely check out hourglass and YSL liquid blushes, however, with ever increasing prices and shrinkflation I want to see how many millilitres of product will be in a packaging. If it’s too little of a product for too high of a price, I will skip. There’s so many good liquid blushes and great formulas to choose from now, I will make sure to get my moneys worth. Also, since cream and liquid products are having its moment, I don’t know why Hourglass discontinued the only cream face palette they had in offer. I’d likely get that one if it was relaunched.
That pink Chanel blush duo is calling to me. I hope it's good. I might get one of the Dior quints -- but will probably wait to see if you review. Thanks for sharing.

I only recently tried the original Givenchy powder & have bought a few back ups which was quite expensive in one hit. I wont be purchasing the new formulation & it's another disappointment of a great product being ruined.
I'm glad your picking up the eyeliners from Valentino and of course, items from suqqu! I still have my fingers and toes crossed for the new koh gen doh pressed powder, it's light pink with a small lighter section but the price is definitely heavy!

They are relatively new. I have one of the greens but not the olive. Out of the ones I have, quartz is my favorite. I wear it a lot. I don't recall which shade that dior is but it is a repeat shade and one of them was icone. The two on the right are the new shades.

Hi Lexi, I love seeing these previews of new makeup releases! I’m enjoying my Armani Beauty liquid blush - so easy to apply. Interested to see how YSL stacks up. Have never tried Burberry lipsticks - some of the shades look very pretty. I’ll pass on the Tom Ford release too - nothing terribly exciting since he sold his company to Estee’ Lauder. For whatever reason, I’ve never really used my Dior eyeshadow quints. I prefer the Cle’de Peau and Chanel formulas. Thanks for all the details! 👍🏻
Is Tom Ford turning in into Charlotte Pillowtalk? Dior is uninspiring to me. The Chanel seems safe. So many looks are kind of uninspiring. I’ll probably be looking for things on the edges of luxury. I still need to explore Prada and Rabanne. They are still unavailable in Canada.

I am really curious about: YSL’s liquid blushes, the Gucci highlighters, the TF items (mild interest in everything except the Body Heat quad), Dior’s pink quint and new lippies, Chanel’s pink blush duo and some of the stylos, Valentino’s new eyeliners and matte lipsticks (that packaging!), Hermès’ new eye quad (the green) and new lipsticks in 3 and 23, and Givenchy’s pressed powder. I have been very bored with the spring and summer releases so far so I am quite excited about what’s coming - and I will wait for your reviews and links (TF excluded since you’re passing on those). The newer photos of Chanel’s duos are undoubtedly disappointing because the cool duo looked SO COOL - but I think that the actual shades are more flattering and wearable (IMO, the purple blush shade that was originally posted would look like rosacea on cool skin tones, and would look like bruising on neutral and warm skin tones). I’m really disappointed that Givenchy has reformulated my favourite powder . I will not be replacing mine . I have the Suqqu Anniversary powder in 103 the lavender shade so I rotate this with the Givenchy so not to run out so quickly . I like the look of the Givenchy gloss in the swirl ❤🤗

Hope you're feeling better, Lexi! I just did a massive declutter and the number of blushes and tinted balms I own is downright embarrassing so I put myself on a strict no-buy until the holidays. I not even tempted now as most of the upcoming releases are more of the same of products I just won't use.

Thank you! There are quite a few brands that I like for lip liners and it depends a lot on the shade but my go-tos are Givenchy, ESUM, Jones Road, and a couple shades from Makeup by Mario, CT pillow talk fair, and an old Pat McGrath that has been discontinued.

I’d be so excited for these releases if the Dior eyeshadows were their old formulas. As it stands… meh. The Suqqu fall moisture glaze lipsticks look GORGEOUS!! Is Tom Ford turning in into Charlotte Pillowtalk? Dior is uninspiring to me. The Chanel seems safe. So many looks are kind of uninspiring. I’ll probably be looking for things on the edges of luxury. I still need to explore Prada and Rabanne. They are still unavailable in Canada.

Hi Lexi! Glad to see you’re feeling better. Thank you for this preview! I am really excited about these upcoming items. I am really curious about: YSL’s liquid blushes, the Gucci highlighters, the TF items (mild interest in everything except the Body Heat quad), Dior’s pink quint and new lippies, Chanel’s pink blush duo and some of the stylos, Valentino’s new eyeliners and matte lipsticks (that packaging!), Hermès’ new eye quad (the green) and new lipsticks in 3 and 23, and Givenchy’s pressed powder. I have been very bored with the spring and summer releases so far so I am quite excited about what’s coming - and I will wait for your reviews and links (TF excluded since you’re passing on those). The newer photos of Chanel’s duos are undoubtedly disappointing because the cool duo looked SO COOL - but I think that the actual shades are more flattering and wearable (IMO, the purple blush shade that was originally posted would look like rosacea on cool skin tones, and would look like bruising on neutral and warm skin tones). Thanks Lexi for sharing these new upcoming releases. Burberry lipsticks , V eyeliner and the Suqqu collection has peaked my interest. I’m really disappointed that Givenchy has reformulated my favourite powder . I will not be replacing mine . I have the Suqqu Anniversary powder in 103 the lavender shade so I rotate this with the Givenchy so not to run out so quickly . I like the look of the Givenchy gloss in the swirl ❤🤗

Thanks for the heads up on these up and coming products Lexi. Thankfully I am not tempted on any. I left you another message on your Dries Van Noten video from 12 days ago saying I loved my DVN lippy so much, I ordered and received two more. The texture is perfect on my old lips. I still enjoy the Prada lipsticks you "made me buy" but I'm not fussed on the Prada cases. Night. Good to see you back.

Hope you're feeling better, Lexi! I just did a massive declutter and the number of blushes and tinted balms I own is downright embarrassing so I put myself on a strict no-buy until the holidays. I not even tempted now as most of the upcoming releases are more of the same of products I just won't use.

Thank you! There are quite a few brands that I like for lip liners and it depends a lot on the shade but my go-tos are Givenchy, ESUM, Jones Road, and a couple shades from Makeup by Mario, CT pillow talk fair, and an old Pat McGrath that has been discontinued.
I hope this new video means you’re feeling better. You look great! And you’re switching it up with a stud earring! I always love your earrings!
I’d be so excited for these releases if the Dior eyeshadows were their old formulas. As it stands… meh.
The Suqqu fall moisture glaze lipsticks look GORGEOUS!! I can’t wait to see how the blushes perform! Of everything in the previews today, the Suqqu fall blushes and moisture glaze lips are the most exciting!
