Masterfully made new version. They seem so happy and relaxed now. They are even better now..Hazuki shows us that She can handle anything 💪 Lovin’ Nemophila 🔥❤️
They are incredible. My favorite songs out of all their songs which are my favorite haha. Love this version . Love seeing Haraguchi-san bass solos and Hazuki just tearing it up. Tamu smiling and Mayu melting my face with those growls and screams. It never gets old and never will.
This is OIRAN on STEROIDS. Nemophila are the toughest sound now with that bass, drums and guitar filling the void. Best version so far by a mile. The new drum fills and bass and guitar solos are super SWEEET.
Saki saw the potential and helped instead of just consulting. They got to Budakan and she felt her job was done. She moved on to her destiny. That's all.
No, I think you hit the nail right on the head! Based on everything I've seen from them since March (especially their streams), they seem freer than ever or more like a unit or group of true friends to me. That's not a knock on Saki who is a phenomenal guitarist and I really like her songs so far, but it almost seems like the one person left the group who didn't quite fit in. I don't know how to describe it. Sure, they had to sort themselves out and see if/how to continue. But with their first evolution video, I just knew that the band was now in 8 not only very pretty, but above all damn talented hands that hold together, have even more fun and a common vision. This, together with their NEW SONG that they've released today "G.O.D." 😉 only one conclusion remains for me. Nemophila has leveled up and is now stronger than ever. 💮🔥🤘🏻 _____________________ _"America invented rock. England improved it. And now, Japan has perfected it."_ Band-Maid | Gacharic Spin | Lovebites | Nemophila | East of Eden | Hanabie | Asterism | Trident | NEK! | Hades | etc.
A very nice evolution ver, but i prefer the original one, two guitars can do more than one, but after all, this is an old song structured with two guitars, and I am very much looking forward to the new song they made with the four members format! 🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Check out their cover of "Show Ya's" (the grandmothers of rock and metal in Japan) (Fairy) for another side to Mayu's voice, also see Tamu on keyboards!!!!! The drummer is the drummer for Show Ya!!!!! The petals on Hazuki's guitar fretboard is the Tree of Life!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!
As always, we are happy to see reactions that show love for NEMOPHILA. The tour starts on 3 August in Japan. I will be there to witness the evolution of the new four-piece NEMOPHILA.
Enjoyed the reaction. Hazuki favors Ibanez RG8527 models. She has several in different colors. They've made both blue and green, so I'm wondering if they did several takes and she used different ones. I have an RG8520 (six string version of the same model). Excellent guitar! Not cheap!
9:22 Hazuki's guitar here is an Ibanez RG8527(custom) ... that means the color of it is actually a variant of "green" taken from another line of Ibanez guitars, that Hazuki wanted for this one.
I agree about SAKI. They're still amazing but there's no way she could leave and the band not lose something. This was an excellent performance but the bass solo in its current form, doesn't work for me. the song loses momentum at that point. Not Hara-chan's fault - she's a fine bass player - but that part of the arrangement just doesn't really fit for me. Not for this song. I'm glad we still have the epic guitar riff in the second part of each chorus. Still my favourite band. I'm not sure about the paint on Hazuki's RG. She may have swapped between takes (she certainly has plenty of Ibanez guitars), but I wondered if it may have been a combination of the way the light hits the guitar and the fact that the camera doing the closer of those shots gives a brighter picture with more colour saturation. Where the apparent change takes place, her foot is in exactly the same spot in that loop of guitar lead and she has the exact same strand of hair straying over her face, so I find it hard to believe she'd moved to get another guitar. I'd bet it's the same guitar and just an illusion caused by the change of camera.
I was really wondering if the quality of their play and their dynamic would change. It is certainly different, but it is no worse. It is obvious to me that losing Saki in no way decreased their ability to play their songs, whether past or future, and they do seem now to be enjoying the new dynamic. Like you said, it didn't look to me like they weren't enjoying the 5 piece dynamic, but with change comes uncertainty and a certain decrease in overall confidence, especially when someone of Saki's experience and talent decides to head to new pastures. And Mayu... I felt like since Oddesey she was in a bit of a funk, and it looked like she was really tired during their tour finale last year. But credit to her, she was playing live until a couple months before birth, and was back on the road and in the studio after about 3-4 months post-pardem, and some of those shows were half a world away from her baby. That (no pun intended) is a Trooper.
My take is that as Saki became less pleased with the band's musical direction,* Nemophila's magical chemistry was taking a little hit. Not _bad_ chemistry at all...just not the pure magic it had been. That's no knock on Saki, and I'm sure everyone remains friends. But it was time to leave (pro musician here: been there, felt that). Saki's solo stuff has been absolute fire since the split, reinforcing the need for the decision. The remaining four seem to have pushed their almost symbiotic musical relationship back to its insane peak. I just saw them about a month ago here in Sapporo at a small "live house" venue. I've seen Nemo multiple times, but this was my first live experience of the quartet version. I'm thrilled to report it was the same (but different) "presence of greatness" live experience as before. If anything, Tamu is driving the live sound harder than ever (as you can hear in this version of Oiran, actually).
Hazuki's guitar is from the Ibanez "J-Custom" series, their top-of-the-line. It was indeed made by master luthiers, but I'm not sure which of the two makers Ibanez* uses for J-Custom make that particular model (FujiGen Gakki or Sugi Musical Instruments, ltd.). These are world-class instruments, some of the best metal/shred guitars you can find. I don't think that's a "color changing" paint on that one; the changes in hue are probably a matter of different cameras. Hazuki is an official Ibanez endorser, and has been used to introduce a couple of new models (quite an honor...). I've seen this quartet version live once now (the previous quintet several times), and there's another show coming here (Sapporo) in September. Peak live band experience...and I mean PEAK. Their live sets are simply magical, "I just witnessed something special" stuff. I'm an old geezer who's spent a lifetime in music (playing and watching/listening both), and Nemophila live are 100% in that elite tier of bands/performers who give you that "in the presence of greatness" vibe. I can't recommend them enough. *Ibanez itself (as a corporate entity called Hoshino Gakki) doesn't actually make instruments! They're a design and marketing/distribution company. They contract their instrument manufacture to various companies, with the higher-end stuff (Prestige, J-Custom) being made in Japan.
Nemophila will do great as a 4-member group. Hoping to get some more Bass/Guitar duels in the future. Maybe they could give MIsa and Kanami from Band-Maid a call for some pointers. LOL
Hey man can you react to Babymetal's new all in english interview that just came out? Its short because its only one question which what is their 5 favorite foods. Its so friggin CUTE though. Kawaii overload!!

I love the way Haraguchi-san headbangs, such a metalhead!
Thanks brother! I have heard this new version over and over today. Freakn love it 💪🏼🍺

Without Saki, Hazuki now dual solos with bassist Haraguchi.....🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
and sometimes with herself ;)

love the way they've adapted and kept going - great band!
If you get a chance, check out their 3 song live clip from "Naon no Yaon 2024" . Absolutely kick arse performance!

Calm down or you're gonna have a heartastroke! Lol 🤣
Mira NAON NO YAON 2024, HARAGUCCI Y TAMU, CREO QUE TE GUSTARÁ BASTANTE
It kills me that they headbang the way they do. You don't do that for a video you do that cause you want to. Killer.
