    Hundreds of dollars? For $33 you buy a simple plug n play wire extension from NAMZ. No cutting, no solder, no butt connectors and color matched.

    Just put 14" apes on my 2016 48 and the stock wires and cables all fit. However, I am going to add about 6" to the left side wires so there is a little more slack.

    Pretty cool video... Just extending the existing if that makes sense.... So help out a brother here, if I install 3.5" risers I should be good to go, right? I have a 2015 48. I cant afford $1000 I am a disabled Vet so money don't come easy... Thanks in advance. Ride safe.

    I currently have 11 inch "ram horn" bars with a 2 inch riser. (1999 FXDWG OEM)
    I'm interested in swapping them for 14 inch lane splitter MX T-bars.
    They have basically the same dimesnions, but in a very different profile. Will I need any new cables?

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  11 місяців тому

      You might get lucky and already have a extended wiring harness, from whoever did the first bar swap for the 11’s…
      (But of course you won’t know until you start the swap and pull the wires)
      If not, then you will definitely need to get a extended wiring harness. Making your own extension will be a lot cheaper.
      You can obviously get the all the right COLOR cords so everything matches. We just did it this way because we couldn’t find all the right COLOR cords we needed..!!
      Is your handlebar wiring ran through the 11’s you have now??

    Can you do a walk around video of the nightster? Going over the parts and look? There is very little info and pic/video of Nightsters done club style. Trying to do my bars and need to decide on height at the moment. Thanks!

      Old Roy Wilson I can definitely do that the next time it’s here!! Just give me a few days... if you’re any taller than 5”6 don’t go any shorter than 14 inch bars!!

    With a tbar setup do you have to relocate the speedo

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  3 роки тому +1

      @robert russell No you don’t. You can buy a special $300 Mount from Harley so it stays in the same place.

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  3 роки тому

      We relocated it for the purpose of getting pulled over. You can rock it without the speedo. Even the amount that I make and use you can’t really see it. It’s mostly there for the carbs so when they say what is your speedo at at least it’s there 🤣😂

      badsanta518 it’s a hack because we didn’t buy a harness we made one. Fucking idiot!! You should think before leaving a comment.. especially when you can’t even write out a very small sentence without having to edit it cuz you can’t even spell!!

    Does the speedo wiring fit the 10” bars fine? If it was mounted on top of the bars? Or is it too short? What about the 14” bars?

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  5 років тому

      Old Roy Wilson Neither!!! It only worked with 4-6 inch risers

    • @oldroywilson8564
      @oldroywilson8564 5 років тому

      JT TERRY thank-you! Is that why you guys chose not to mount the speedo on top of the bar/riser? Trying to put some 10” risers with a Moto bar on a nightster and want to mount the speedo on top. Very little info on this exact thing out there. It already has mini apes, so all the other cables and wiring are good to go, it’s just that speedo issue. If you did look into the speedo extending, were there any options for that, or just completely rewire it?

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  5 років тому

      Old Roy Wilson you can buy a longer kit or just add wires yourself like we did for the bars!

    Will this work with 16" t bars? Obviously the wiring part will but will the cables

    • @JT-Terry
      @JT-Terry  5 років тому +1

      Peter Penner it worth a shot. I’m thinking the clutch cable might be really tight on you. So if you were to adjust it so it engages in a different spot it might just work. I’m almost 100% sure the throttle cables will work but you’ll have to route it outside of the forks not in between them!! And you’ll will definitely need a new front break line.

    • @peterpenner7934
      @peterpenner7934 4 роки тому
