I'm a little confused about emergency lighting testing. I've been told to carry one out every week at our shop. There are numerous slots around the building where I have to insert a key similar to the one in the thumbnail. I was told the white lights which come on have to be on at all times along with the little illuminated green dot....is that correct? Or do you just switch the white light on then off again? And maybe the green dot stays on to show it's working? I was just confused cuz if you see the emergency lights are on at all times there's no need to test as you can just see it with your eyes?
Thank you.
Things changed, today's emergency lighting systems are much smarter than in 2018.
