Tata nano is very Reliable car. One word for it is "Activa with 4 Wheel" . I am using it for last 7 years. Very Very Good City Car.

My Tata Nano is 2012. Its now on 11th year. Very satisfied.
This is first product in the world sold commercially without warranty. Even Rupa underwear has colour and elastic warranty

Start ups or individual kit makers world over offer either a very limited and short duration warranty or no warranty at all.
Organized sector players offer minimum 8 years or 1,60,000 kilometers whichever is earlier warranty on all electric vehicles
Mitsubishi initially offered same warranty but extended it to 10 years to pick up sales . Unfortunately it did not help and Mitsubishi has stopped producing and selling the electric vehicles since 3 years or more .
BYD in India is offering a 10 years or 5 Lakh kilometers whichever is earlier warranty. It does not offer a charging equipment. You have to buy it from the open market.
They also encourage you to do Fast Charge all time and every time.

Tata Nano EV is practical and best city use EV if launch even today. With same safety and battery norms what Nexon and Tiago have. This jayem Neo is not a good conversion considering the charging port placement which pathetic at first impression as well

Simple solution. A hole to be cut in the body and covered with a lid like the petrol lid. Why are you over engineering the issue. Or it can be placed in the front grille where Tata Logo is mounted . VW has a nice system check that

The car lost 5%(61-56) charge for 4kms drive which translates to barely 100kms of range
It differs when using AC and without . Also based on the driving behaviour. Its far better to use the EV bikes which is not even safe.
Even 100 km is a good range . What is the problem. It still saves money .

I think TATA can improvise the car with slightly more practical range of 200km in single charge along with warranty of 5 yrs on battery as well as motors with the price range if 4 lakh. Because if price gets increase then cost to benefit ratio will again get disturbed.
Charging point should be easily accessible and car should deliver 200km range with AC.
Regeneration from braking is not of much importance.
No infoteinment required, just good quality sound system is enough.
No camera, no electronics. Just make competitive car that brings your running cost down.
If you can do it with warranty then also no issue. You will be able to capture EV market.
Don’t worry. Tata has a very big stake in the plant and have already thought of all this . A new Electric version of Nano is ready for launch and sale .
The range depends on battery size and so also the cost of the vehicle.
If you want 200 km range Tata is already offering one model called Nexon . 12 lakhs plus is the price .

I have Ampere Magnus EX brought in Jan 2022. Advertised Range 120, Average Range / Charge after 1 year of Use 100kms.
Maximum riding in a single day 18kms. My city is 12km end to end. My work is 6km end to end. Why do I need a vehicle with 1000km range. It adds to battery weight and cost.

It is not as easy as just plugging in a battery and motor. Because a proper BMS is required, so many inexperienced startups and third parties , they think it is very easy to manufacture an EV. But it is not so, a lot of testing and validation techniques are required and BMS is also required
It is easy....just normal engeenering needed....but this car is very cleanly built-up
